You might find it useful this Halloween, too. -Disclaimer- Adult supervision needed. Don't spray at people or animals. It's hot glue, so use i...

how you made that looping background animation in the example video ?
hi. used one of the grunge style brushed with the brush tool then just turned up the size of it. then i just clicked it around the canvas pretty randomly for each frame.
Is there any way to include looped texture background instead of painting all frames?
@@sagaraleasorg Yes, by offsetting a bunch of duplicates of the animated background. Make sure you animate the background on a separate video layer under the foreground animation layer. Select the BG layer and "Command + J" to duplicate it. Then offset on the timeline it to start when the other one ends. Keep doing that until you hav enough loops. **For some reason when I duplicate the video layer, the new layer is untrimmed and I have to re-trim it to the correct length. You might have that same issue. Let me know if this solves your issue or if I need to clarify anything.
@@BWayMotion If your background animation is 2 seconds long and you need to extend it to match a 10-second animation, you would indeed need to duplicate the 2-second animation multiple times. You need to duplicate the 2-second animation 5 times to achieve a continuous 10-second background animation. Am I correct?
@@sagaraleasorg correct
you use best of your knowladge for creating this tutorial.. its' one of the best
Worked perfectly, thanks for the tutorial!
this is amazing, thanks so much
Wow that's cool 🎉
This is the greatest Photoshop animation video ever made. Trying to learn and watched several that totally over complicated. Thanks for simple and quick with many examples in a short amount of time. Perfect.
IT DOESNT WORK😭
how do you get it to bounce back up?
Nice video, but that backsound is disturbing af
Thx man, Now I can make the ball texture in the game look good, even though I like modifying Zuma and Luxor games. I will use this method
Thats awesome! Im gonna have to try this. Do you also have one for sweat like a boxer getting punched and sweat flies off their face like in the movie creed?
I had perticular? 😂😂😂
You had me at butthole! That said, life with be difficult without at least the 1.
amazing man. I know it been 5 years. But thanks buddy
this didn't work for me
Thank you so much..
Damn. that's so clever. i didnt expect that. i thought it's gonna be some tutorial on keyframe position though. appreciate
Thanks
Thank you.
i saw ur animation movie in an animation event <3 couldn't believe u the same person who made it <3<3 <3 😍 it was crazy
But the effect is so pixelised like i am the only one or????
Is it possible to have 2 or more points of origin?
yeah good question. you’ll just need to do some masking. inside the Map precomp, duplicate the layer. Solo the top duplicate, move the center point in the effect, then mask around that new origin -following the edges of the cracks. Then do that again and you’ll have 3 layers, with the top 2 having masks around the origins that are in different positions. i didn’t check, but i believe the effects used will support masks. but if they don’t, it’s that same process, but you’ll just have to mask on alpha mattes.
@@BWayMotion thanks for the response!
I’m feeling motivated
this method really doesnt like logos...
4 years later and you saved me lol thank you
🫡
LOL the akwardness when he explains stuff makes the video perfect. Big thanks for the tutorial. Nice one.
Don't pee on your keyboard, hahahahaahha that was really a bad joke lol
Testicle 😂
I need a stronger version
🖐️🤟
Thanks man appreciate it
thank you so much for this, i really did not feel like going through a half hour video to grasp basics, so i watched this and it actually was really well done, i loved the tense music it sounded like you were trying to speedrun this lol
Thanks so much! Worked like a charm
great👌👌👌👌

Absolutely love this 🤖 Really starting to get into practical effects whenever I can! THis is inspiring.
Same! I like combining mediums. Doesn’t *always* look better, but I tend to have the most fun in the process this way. :)
When did Photoshop add: timeline, animation, and video? I don't remember seeing this option available circa 2011-2014
how did you make it shorter at 0:57 ?
I never responded, sorry. -Make a Birthrate keyframe on the first frame set to 15. I found that 15 is a good number to start from. -set a keyframe on the second frame as 0. This means all the particles are produced on the first frame, and then none are produced for all frames after.
I followed your instructions to the letter but my tornado starts narrow and ends wide. how do i make it tight?
Great tutorial! Really easy to follow! I just realised while following this tutorial, but it's also a great way to make scarlett witch effects with a few tweaks, quite a few of the single frames look very similar to the effects
Ooooo yeah! Great thinking!
As which file do you save it in the end? I mean to save it like an animation video
File > Export > Render Video Under "format," you can save as "H264" for MP4 files or "Quicktime" for less compressed (higher quality) MOV files. Either one will be able to be imported into a video editing software so you can add sound/music and edits.
Finally I can do cracks in after effects
For the background music and the fishworm creature alone, thumbs up!
Can you use a blow dryer instead?
Or a small air compressed duster?
Thanks for the comment. I had tried a hair dryer and it hadn’t worked. Compressed air duster - good thinking, try it. I have no idea. If your gluegun has settings, put it at hottest so it’s more fluid.
@@BWayMotion Okay, thanks!
There must be a quicker and easier way to go to the next frame but keeping what you already drew, such as a time-lapse animation of a painting for example. thanks
If you figure it out, please share it in the comments.
starting 4:09 u just did it so fast, no clue what u re doing there :) I am stuck thee, I literally do not know what to do there on my video. Impossible to figure out. After tracking it shows a multitude of points, why did u fast forward the most important part?
I’m surprised I haven’t gotten more comments calling that out. I agree, this video was confusing. I’ll do my best to explain more in writing: Each puppet pin should be pick-whipped to their corresponding tracked point. What I did was select a pin, see which pin gets highlighted on the fake face “mask” in the viewport, then pick-whip that pin position to the position of the face tracker. In the tutorial, I say to create the pins in the same order as I do, so that linking the pins to the tracking points can be done in the order after effects lists the tracking points. But it is not unlikely that many people add the puppet pins to the fake face “mask” layer in a different order than what they see in the video. And that’s fine, it’s just important to double check which pins are which. The face tracker labels each of its trackers, so compare the pins you’ve made to those and link. There are so many, but that is what I did. Again, not the best tutorial. I made a follow-up tutorial for this that may explain the process better(?).
the image doesn't match the THUMBNAILS...
Were you specifically trying to make a fish like in the thumbnails? It’s the same process.
Where are you? Are you okay?
