I feel the meetings. I sometimes have days where I can get 30 minutes of work in, the rest is meetings 😴 But aye, that’s finally a more real day in the life. Tired of all the „devluencers“ that spend 20 minutes of work and chill the rest of the day I get that it makes a video more realistic, but then they call it „a real day“ nah fam, you’d be fired if that was a real day. Thanks for keeping it real!

Hey love your content. Was just curious, why do you use Linux over macOS ? Where you offered a Mac when starting with your company?
I don't really have a preference for either. I was not offered a Mac, but if I was, I probably would have chosen it.
There looks like around 90 minutes of actual work being done. Please see me in my office.
So is this the difference between a software developer and a software engineer. Seen a couple of videos of the day in life of a software engineer and all they show is themselves fooling around for hours. eating, taking naps, as well as doing other none productive things. I get needing breaks and all but men some of them look like their work is taking breaks. Anyways is nice to see a video where actual work gets done.

I've been thinking about this for a little while. What's the point of learning to code nowadays? AI can code why better and faster than humans. Shouldn't one learn to use AI to make useful tool instead of learning the details of how to code? It's like learning the slide rule ...
Thanks for watching! That's an interesting point you bring up. For myself, I do use ChatGPT sometimes when i'm coding if i'm struggling with a problem. The thing is, no one knows what the future holds. So, we don't know for sure if in ten years all programmers will be replaced and as of right now, you still need to know how to code to implement a solution from AI. I would say more than ever, people need to understand how to code. Tech (specifically AI) seems to be growing exponentially and we're going to need more people who can understand and work with it. AI is not a magic solution that can replace human programmers entirely. AI can certainly automate certain tasks and make coding more efficient, but it still requires human input to design and develop the algorithms and models that power AI. AI is certainly changing the way we think about programming, but it doesn't mean learning to code is irrelevant. It can prepare you for a future where AI plays a bigger role in our life. Honestly, the best advice I have is to practice coding everyday to build up that muscle memory and creating your own projects. Thanks for watching! I started learning by doing tutorials on Udemy and going through some books as well. After that, just started building my own projects and this is when I learned the most.
