I love this boat. Sitting in my side yard right now. Use it at least twice a month all year long. I’ve added trolling motor , depth finder 2 batteries interior lighting I’ve redone battery compartments below rear deck on each side. Hid all wiring and built a central “control” panel for electronics with individual toggle switches. Motor still running great, with regular maintenance of course. Upgraded front seat and also added a small light bar up front. New throttle control cables, new wheels and tires for trailer and also mounted a spare tire to trailer. Fish catching machine. It is real fun and does everything I need it to do. Be a little careful on busy weekends but other then that I’m all over allatoona on a regular basis. It’s also been to Carters and Lanier but only once each. I’ve owned last 4 years. Have a blast with it.
I sold it 9 years ago. Glad to hear you are enjoying it as much as I did but only once when I made this video after I finished setting it up.. I am on face book as Bellorrpa.still selling boats and motors here in Woodstock.

No matter what ur book says or sticker on the motor. It’s 50:1. The 100:1 was epa garbage. That burned up good engines.
Man, it moves that boat right along !! Love it, Good ol` Merc !!!
What prop do you use what's the pitch I have 2 of those 35 s
I have same motor but mine isnt shooting that stream of water out the back ????
Hoeveel km/h?
Where is your antiventilation plate is it level with the hull
that could be the world record for a 6 horse. Great video
Pls tell me the make of the prop?
what a moron
I had this engine. I got clocked by my cousin’s Bayliner at 32 mph against a moderate wind. I had a simple 14’ Northwoods aluminum fishing boat, tiller with manual start. It idled and trolled all day like a 3hp fishing motor and pulled adults high speed on inner tubes with no problem. Ran it hard for years and never a hiccup. I think Johnson Outboards were the best running motors ever. You can’t beat a 2 stroke Johnson or Evinrude. Mercs were good motors but were designed for speed whereas Johnsons were torque monsters.
U gotta get urself a jack plate. The ply want work for long. U don't want to lose nice little engine
What size is that!? 1236
same motor 30 mph on 16 foot bass tracker aluminum
Nice motor one question dose the motor flick up when you put it in reverse or dose it lock?
18 mph is the cruise speed 32 mph wide-open on a 14 foot John boat with a stick steering that’s my rig
I have a boat similarly to this one except with a 25 Johnson sea horse and I can get mine to plain out . What is your trim set on
Great engine
I chose my used outboard based on this video. 15.5 foot MonArk flat bottom (1971) I think it's a perfect fit I can do about 26 mph with 2 men,and casting deck 4 seats(captain, passenger front/rear casting deck) Thanks for the video, and love the accent!! You couldn't be on a better lake for the accent. Seriously not meaning that to be rude I enjoy it.
😊
Watched a bunch of your videos last summer when I was putting together a jon boat/bass boat. I chose my used outboard because of one of the videos. 28 HP Johnson SPL(1988). It has really turned out to be the perfect motor for my set up. Thanks. You give information quickly, and to the point. Cover the things I was curious about.
That’s funny - I am just finishing 5 Johnson 28 SPL , converting them to short shafts,.
That’s hauling az…
powerful little motor!!
Yea it's fast, but it's also been stripped bare. No trolling motor, no second battery, no fishing gear, small gas tank. It scoots, but all you can do is drive it around.
I have the same motor no electric start though
That seems to go very well for a 15 hp
De que año es ese motor y que modelo te go una igual 30hp pero no tengo ninguna información

Lowe boats are awesome
Has a worn Wrist Pin can hear it plain as day . The 6 hp Evinrude and Johnsons were rental motors all over the usa . They came with 2 blade props 6 X 7 1/4. After hundreds of hrs they develop wrist pin noise, but still Idle at 300 rpm in gear. They were the best and most bullet proof engines of all time. Certified Outboard tech 45 yrs
Hello-how difficult will it be to convert that motor to a tiller handle ?
Solid video and description. Thank you sir
Better lock up the handles together on the motor
Tiene mucho consumo? Mas que un yamaha enduro
How much would the motor be rite now.
What is approximately the weight of the boat?
Nice camo sceme. Blens well with fresh water!
What control box is this?
Great rig!
2 stroke?
I have the same exact motor but mine is a 94 and i have it on a 1642
Mesin yg d sorot jangan nyorot badannya
24 mph. Not bad. Maybe some dents on the bottom?
Beautiful lake. I have a 1542 flat bottom that needs a nice big outboard. My 13hp mud motor gets it up to about 18.5mph, but I think I'm putting a 25-30hp on it for big lakes/big rivers. Yours looks pretty quick
That is too cool.
I have a 79 Johnson my problem is I can start it in gear and run it , but as soon as I let off the throttle it dies . Won’t start if in neutral . Mine also doesn’t have the adjustment knob on the bottom right of the motor has a place it was supposed to be but the whole thing is gone . Is that my problem or any idea ?
2.6 feet deep
This dude is a Bulgarian, I think it’s a good guess
That’s a cool lake
