zhlédnutí 324KPřed 11 měsíci
Join me as I take on the Tour Divide, a 4,300km unsupported bike race that will test you in every way imaginable. The Tour Divide follows the GDMBR and Continental Divide across Canada and the US, and explores some of the most beautiful places in North America, but that doesn't come without challenges. Thank you to Hunt Bikes and POC for helping to make this journey possible, having a great tea...

Walking On A Dream - A Pacific Crest Trail Film
zhlédnutí 201KPřed rokem
The adventure that changed my life... In 2022 I thru hiked the Pacific Crest Trail and made a film to share my experience. The places I got to see and the people I met are something I will cherish forever. Thank you to all the strangers, trail angels and other hikers that made this journey what is was. I have always been a lover of hiking and the outdoors but this trail made me feel a way I hav...
PREPARE FOR WEST CAL. SUPERQUAKES
Great adventure!!! Thanks for sharing!!
Did you carry bear spray?
Great film! How did you secure your food at night on the ride? Did you use a bear bag in a tree?
What an adventure!❤
Awesome ride and awesome video! Thanks for sharing!
Great video. I enjoyed every moment
Bravo 😮HelloFromparis 😢
Inspired 👏 Thx 🙏
Wicked good walk.
What a great wonderful documentary. Great job, man!
The music is really annoying
Impressive :)
Didnt you have a break in some days? like 1 day recovery then bike again, like everyday biking really would be hard. Great content but damn you were so negative a huge part of the ride. That's what you signed up for, you prob need more preparation for such a ride, mindset prep.
very good
This was my 4. time watching this fantastic film. I love the smiles and the well selected music. Greetings from Denmark. Carsten
I haven't even finished watching this vid and it's already sooo good. Amazing shots from various angles. Love that. Really helps to capture the enormous beauty around you.
Great vid - one question... where did you put your GPS tracker? how did you mount it?
Jack, remarkable achievement, congrats on the accomplishment. Thanks for taking the time to document your experience . A question posed to the community/audience, how does this have 1/10th of the views of Courtney's "Just Passing Thru"? Same tramily, same dji recording device to document the same experience, same length of time on CZcams, same country of origin/accent, similar production skills and music selection, the same video home screen....The only significant difference is the gender/likeability of the narrator. It looks like the social court (no pun intended) of opinion has ruled toward a cute young skinny white blonde girl that shows a lot of leg! Who would have thought those features translated into 10x the views 😂??
What a challenge dusted! There's nothing like suffering to let us know we're alive - and to help us appreciate when we're not suffering! Getting ready for a self-supported tour of my own making. (My diary won't be half as nice as yours but you gave me something to strive toward!)
Great content and Journey
Great vid, love your work! Where did you store your (bulky) camera when not filming? I use a sony full frame camera and always struggle with storing it, so I'm quite curious!
I basically run the same! Generally in my seat bag if weather is off or lately I’ve been carrying a small backpack that it lives in, I’ve also used larger fanny packs that work pretty well.
Too much selfie video
22:05 the blocked railway came straight from the set of the remake of 3:10 to Yuma!
Since you say it's a race, is there a big prize list?
No prizes!
WOW, what a GREAT documentary!!! You had me in tears at the end!!
I’m trying to find a song from your music track. I don’t know that these are exactly correct, but the gist of the lyrical phrase that caught me is, you find yourself when you find your people. Any help from anyone is appreciated, thanks.
Hey mate! It’s called Find Your People by Drew Holcomb
Awesome film, sending out positive vibes the whole trip💪💪💪
How do you choose which f**cks to bleep and which not to 😂
hi Jack Great video I really enjoyed it🏁🏁🏁
Nice job and great ride. Was fun to follow along.
Super dope Video, I hope you will upload more in the Future. I really enjoyed it, thank you.
Working on it! Thanks mate!
Where do I find Background-Music like he is using?
I use royalty free music on Music Bed
This is by far one of the best PCT thru hike videos out there... Absolutely unbelievable!! Soundtrack was amazing as well! Great job!
Thanks a ton mate!
Wonderful
Excelente video amigo wena wena wena!!!
Proud of you Jack. An honest documentary with both highs and lows. I'm hoping to do the first part out of Banff into Montana. NOT the entire thing. 😀
Thank you! I appreciate the comment. That’s a nice section! I highly recommend!
With all respect, but how can you argue thata an amateur race is harder than any of the grand tours. I would be surprised if the cyclists of the Divide could keep up with the pros in ONE stage.
Isn't it strange that you can feel proud of someone you don't even know. But that was the feeling I had for you at the end there. So many issues on the route for you but you kept at it and didn't let any of it stop you in your tracks. Congrats lad.
You’re a legend, thanks mate!
Inspirational. Pure and simple. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks mate! I appreciate that
You said the L.A. aqueduct was cool because it supplies water for L.A. It does so by draining water from the Owen's Valley on the east side of the Sierras, contributing to the loss of farming and a lot of environmental damage. The Mono Lake Committee is still fighting the city of L.A. to minimally maintain water on the east side.
Great video! Heading out late June. I liked the wheels on your bike box… did you carry those with you? Glad your achilles pulled through. Also nice to see someone change their brake pads on route -)
Hell yeah! I'll also be heading out again. Yeah I just carry those wheels with me, they're just those ones you get to put under a pot plant, they work a treat!
@@JackScottkeogh that’s a great hack! So you rode the divide with the wheels tucked into a bike bag? Why not !
What a journey Jack. Awesome headspace. I am from India and will plan the divide in the near future. PBP was an amazing ride in 2023 and looking forward to this adventure.
Enjoy it when you do get out there!
Great vid Jack. This is a bucket list for me. Im working on building up my bike. I liked those aero bars you added, compact yet functional. Which are they?
Thanks mate! They're Prime Noosa's, honestly I'd go a little bigger though! They're just a smidge too small I think. I've moved onto Profile Neosonic Ergo 45AR's now.
@@JackScottkeogh ah ok. Yeah I’m looking for something more compact. if you have them laying around and willing to sell, them I’d be interested.
Such great music! I think a little Bon Iver in there too! Excellent soundtrack to your wonderful journey. ❤
If only youtube wouldn't me with copyright strikes! haha
Solid 5 kangaroo rating🏆 Nice grit mate. 🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘 ☮️
I'll take a 5 kangaroo rating any day! Thanks mate!
I cant believe you eat that poison no wonder you were sick
Yeah it's a wonder I didn't DIE!
Thanks for going through all your gear for your divide bikepacking setup!
No worries!
Hi, The girl named Courtney at 131.03 ..can you tell me the make/brand of her hoodie please? ilove the colour and would love to have one
Howdy! Off the top of my head the brand is Fayette Chill and I think the model is called Livingston
As if the Tour Divide isn't hard enough you smashed a tin of Spaghetti-Os without spilling a drop on your white top. Not human! :D
