My problem is I easily get hyped to do something. After my first few games of Bolt Action, jumped in to the deep end head first & purchased enough models to build 2 2000pt armies, only to find that I don't enjoy painting infantry models. I can paint vehicles all day, every day but I keep putting off painting infantry despite the fact that the they are the build of the unites in the game.

I mean Orks are Mushrooms in 40k basically. And they absolutely have a shit ton of memes. Not the least of which is WAAAAGGGHHHH! As for why they work in reality. That is because they don't need multi pose support. They're the faction for the tinkerer.

The orc refresh for 40k was a welcomed one. Yes, the models might be monopose but at least they are newer sculpts. Most players have tons of bits to kitbash, or an easy way to get more. I agree that more choices are better, but GW is starting to turn choices into new units and therefore more boxes to sell. Thankfully 3d printed parts are always a great option

This is slightly wrong. All browns are just dark orange. They all have red tones. You can have a warmer brown that has more red in it or a cooler brown thats more yellow. Adding green can desaturate it and/or move it closer to the yellow side of the colour wheel depending on the green.

My space marines & fantasy dwarfs from 98 still see the table top to this day! Never let your minis go if you can keep them!

Always blown away when people whine about the price of the hobby. Majority of you are playing marines anyway which are the most popular for resale just buy your army second hand and if you want a niche ad mech, voltan or kroot army for example be prepared to spend for the scarcity of the army.

I’m a blood Angel player and even I admit I want to see some bigger updates for other factions. Heck I’m just starting my Aeldari army and GW seemingly never touches Aeldari with a 20ft pole.

I enjoyed this video. Orks are a lot of fun. I have been rebasing my Assault on Black Reach Orks to the current base sizes. I collected the army to play with my son using the Battle for Vedros game. I hope to try them out in 10th edition. I have a couple of theories about the new Boyz kit. One thought is more about GW's trend towards mono-pose figures. GW has been able to come up with some really dynamic poses that would be much harder with multi-pose options. GW also does not want bits resold from their kits. The mono-pose design makes breaking a kit into bits much harder. The downside to the mono-pose approach is in horde armies (like Orks) the repetition of such dynamic poses really stands out. Also the new Boyz kit does not stack well for larger mobs. This problem is why GW still sells the older Boyz kit. The new Boyz kit is good as it is push fit. This may make assembly easier for beginners. I think the new kit was actually designed for something else. The kit would make a pretty good Kill Team. It would also work as a mob for a Gorka Morka type of game. I think the design was part of a project that did not come to fruition and GW decided to release the kit separately.

I would love if they brought Korks back

Orks are easy to figure out which color to paint their stuff too. Red makes it go faster, yellow makes it more splodey, purple makes it sneaky (cuz nobody ever sees purple orks) and of course green is the bestest cuz that’s their skin color.

I love the orks! Also your videos are great! Found you guys looking up how to paint for the first time! Appreciate the videos a lot especially when you guys go into detail on painting and lore and how they mix.

The Orks speak to the Wattsian idea of nonesense. A player can really express themselves with the Orks. They are the dance, they are the song. The Orks aren't about an end goal they are simply the joy and passion of playing the game. Not ending it. I think it ultimately comes down to their connection to the Warp. It provides their power whilst maintaining their insanity. There is something spiritually beautiful about the Orks, even if it can be incredibly goofy. They have solved their "why are we here", its to krump and 'ave da biggest waaagh dere is. I do wonder if the only thing they can't do is drama. If you have an example of a good dramatic Ork story i would love to know about it. The Orks and Tau are my two favourite factions for opposing reasons. Tau are where i get my order and drama expressed in their underdog nature. Another banger guys, thanks!

Orks have somehow managed to avoid this I mean.... There's always the odd bit about how no one mentions ork captives. Or the color issue where red doesn't make anything faster... At least in the sphere of 40k I've been around it's the most exhausting thing to hear over and over about colors and how they're actually keeping the emperor alive through their belief.... Makes me just, utterly disinterested in them as a faction and race. Sorta like the bitterness Perturabo felt about the emperor.

Fun fact, burnt and raw umbers can come in yellow, green, red, and orange shades. It all depends on the region where the soil was harvested and some versions like are starting to become very hard to acquire due to soil erosion causing major landslides caused by companies harvesting the pigment in mass quantities. In the future we might only have the green shade but its currently hard to get due to it most of it coming from Cyprus near the UN exclusion zone. Pigments are super complicated and never straight forward. This is why I have 20 different burnt umbers, 40 burnt sienna, and 18 yellow ochres.
