Видел как точат колёсные пары для вагонов БРЖК. Видел, как точат сектор с зубцами на карьерный экскаватор, на карусельном с планшайбой в 25 метров. Все станки давно переплавлены в металлолом, на том же заводе, и проданы за границу...

I often wondered where all the old machines went, After most shops moved to C.N.C, I had many large lathes even larger than this One i remember well was a Churchill lathe and i had many dean smith and grace lathes, which i treasured , shame those arts are mostly lost but good luck to this shop may you manufacture for peace.

'They're doing the best they can!' No they're not. They could do better. They had the equipment to do better. They had the skills to bring their machine into spec. Prying the part off the machine and damaging the part? Why? Just finish cutting. They could do better and they know it. this is 'I don't care' machining. They can't be bothered to do a professional job.
