Hey Mark. I love ur shit but not the short one man. Come on. I like one hour of this kind of shit😂😂please upload a full story
Sounds like you just quit
'Lapse' is not the same as 'relapse'.
You’re not a bad person because you messed up, you’re just a person who messed up badly. Reminder to be kinder to yourself 😊
Thank you for the reminder of the shifts of growth from our familiar and unhealthy habits to get to our unfamiliar and healthy habits!
Two of my favourite authors! Love it ❤
I like Mark Manson, Sadia Khan and Orion Taraban. I feel like they are all on the same page
I appreciate the clips as they are better to digest for me. Ur content is so full of wisdom and big learnings, plus very fast talking (im no native speaker) that im overwhelmed because I want to absorb all the learnings that I can take from ur content. Absolutely amazing since u started ur channel I cancelled so much other channels bevause my time is limited and I prioritize ur content absolutely on top. This clip especially helped me appreciate my longtime relationship with the most amazing wife more and more. Thanks for ur work mark! Please never stop ❤
Mark and Drew, you both offended me when you said that you are both old in this video! But I still subscribed. :) I am a few years older than you both by age, but I am stunned by your emotional maturity. You both gave me lots of hope for Millennials and Gen Zs. I keep telling my friends to listen to this podcast - These videos are way better than a lot of therapy and psychology teachings. Note that I am nerdy, I read a lot of nonfiction and research work, and I am a researcher and training professionals by profession. Still, you both helped me be even more blunt, and just enjoy learnings from failures instead of beating myself up for making mistakes here and there.

The idea that you can’t measure productivity of knowledge work is nonsense. That’s just a sign that you aren’t planning. As soon as you break down your project into milestones with dependencies and represent them as a diagram, progress and productivity becomes evident. The problem is none of the commercially available tools help you do this. The fact that tools to do the right thing don’t exist isn’t evidence that the right thing can’t be done. Cal’s entire thesis is about this topic is a copout.
I was thinking more about this today & this is the second time I've heard the closing the relationship chasing tab in your brain mentioned. I've got that same tab opened. There's no closure in life until you have that partner to go through life with, no matter how much I try to focus on other areas of life, it just appears to be a very important aspect of life that needs closure & until it gets closure, it takes attention away from things that are important. Everything suffers, including being a good mum because in the back of my mind & my kids keep asking, for a 'Dad'. They want a Dad & it's such a paralysing space to be in, because I want to give my kids a Dad & I want somebody I can be close to, love & support & receive the same in kind, but it's really hard. I do think at least this year I have learned that on top of conscientious & Integrity in a partner, proper communication & non conflict avoidant is now non-negotiable in a partner. I really like direct but private communication & somebody who will be straightforward about their needs, wants & expectations & be receptive to my own...
So much wisdom in so little time!!! Amazing man!!! Thanks a lot for that! Exactly what I needed to stay on track ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!🫶
Eye-opening in many ways Naming my mental state as "lost" explains a lot, but it will take time to sort things out
The RAM analogy is so good
That is high-quality freedom. That RAM analogy is very accurate
Could you either move clips to a different channel or clearly label them as clips in the thumbnail? Love the podcast, but I watch the full episodes and it’s really confusing to have to sort through what is what.
It's for more new viewers not just old viewers
Yes it's confusing but very true commitment gives freedom

Love you guidance I love no giving a FUCK!!!!! 🎉
A- ambani is great as he is contributing in economy of India - Great thought that's why the rich poor gap is decreasing day by day applause 👏 from my side you can also say that modi ji is great as he is working 18 hours a day and that too everyday and farmers, the economy class and above all the Gujarati people are the happiest ones with modi JI' s working THIS IS THE BIGGEST REASON THAT HE DID NOT WIN THE ELECTIONS 2024 IN HIS CONSTITUENCY OF GUJARAT , One paradox from my side with pleasure ( atleast not from sex ) MODI IS GOD BUT HE IS A HUMAN BEING TOO BY THE WAY, MUSIC TO MY EARS LET THE MUSIC PLAY India father is mk gandhi father of our nation but modi ji is the great great grandfather of mk gandhi and see modi doesn't know mk gandhi ( as he mentioned in his speech at 2024 elections if I m not wrong) or it would feel not the good but the best that MODI MAY BE GODFATHER EVEN? and what a person like me would rather say- O God , am myself in heaven or hell? Please do clarify as it seems paradoxical for me a- why s- coz they say so much pleasant things but when it comes to doing, they do not do good things.
❤
Substance abuse is just a coping mechanism for a deeper issue. The substance isn't the core problem, it's just what we tend to see
Plus, a lot of people *think* they know something about a topic that is often quite wrong. News, of course, but almost every topic has people with severe Dunning-Kruger problems spreading incorrect information.
Im Addicted to CZcams.
Love your book(s), love your podcasts! Many thank fucks for your content Mark!
I don't know about the death one. I'm very aware of death, and I find that it often tends to make me more depressed and frustrated when faced with day-to-day bullshit at work, as I think about how I'm wasting my precious time on these things. I think Steve Jobs comes from a place of privilege. For me, I try to remind myself that I'm putting up with the bullshit at my job to make money to take care of my family, and that part is meaningful...
Trauma therapy can help fix the addiction issues ….worked for me
Its all trauma related not addiction?
Paradox of Choice definitely applies to products like Fitness Tracker Watches and tennis shoes. Too many choices. Freedom and Simplicity are complementary.
Bullshit lol
You're absolutely correct.
Love the 'uncomfortable ' paradox and it needs much more exploration. I see a culture that is promoting avoidance as a coping strategy. Anything that you find distasteful or uncomfortable, avoid it. If you're uncomfortable interacting with someone, just ghost them, break off a relationship by txt. Its very pervasive and, once you see it, you cant unsee it
^ this... It's easier to cancel someone than to face the truth with them.
Your domicile is very well put together,, for someone telling me how to not give a fuck

Compulsve behaviour in the attempt to fill a void caused by lack if connection to the all
Once I started to be myself and be better to myself I saw that wasn’t being accepted so yea lol thanks 😂🤣
Hey.. l love the wisdom..and enthusiasm...but.. oh... my Dad always said that using swear words revealed a paucity of, or lack of vocabularily, as English has such a rich and deep store of descriptive words. Do ugly words really make one sound more cool? Maybe? But perhaps not.
Of course they lean left. Intellectuals tend to be physically weak, lack self reliance, and see collective modes of identity as espousing the strengths they, individually, can and will never have on their own accord. It's a mix of that with an overarching distain for people they see as the "deplorables" from which their snyde attitude that dictates their top down authoritarian ideas, in their minds, logically should reign and be enforced.
Be consistent for 1 hour a day so that you can work 12 hours straight during your high leverage moment. Lesson learned. Thank you.

I'm glad i came across this video
These two guys have the sunken faces of an alcoholic.
Your eyes will always tell someone else the truth.
That’s not why they passed the ban on alcohol! It was completely religiously driven. Orthodox Christians wanted to remove Alcohol from everyone because THEY believed it was sinful to consume it. Wife beating back then was not caused by alcohol it was society that felt a woman should be put in her place by her husband and if she wasn’t married it was her father’s responsibility to do it. Don’t try to gloss over it, they were bad times for many women. In fact I’d argue they were probably better when their husband did drink as it would have a sedative effect and eventually he’d drink too much and pass out giving her peace.

This is a complete lie. Alcohol negatively affects the majority of processes in the body, for everyone, even from 1 drink.
