    Things I learned really well from military service: committing myself to something bigger than myself, trusting my team, cultivating the attitude that failure isn't an option. That's just to name a few.

    The military shows people that have no idea how much strength, power, wisdom, and talent that already resides in all of us. Goggins calls this the 20%. What you are capable of, even if you came from a shitty background, no evidence of talent, and no evidence of greatness, the military will show you how much you haven't tapped into. Because you have no choice. Your excuses are irrelevant and vehemently crushed by your peers and leaders. Therefore, you are exposed to truly how great you can be. That's magical.
