According to Revelation 13:12, the Antichrist exercises all the power of the first beast of Revelation 13:1 ff. before him and causes the whole world to worship one of its seven heads, which had a deadly wound but was healed. This beast is the fourth world empire already described in Daniel 7:7. But in Revelation 13:2 details are given that show that it has characteristics of the three world empires before it: • It is like a leopard, the third world empire of Daniel 7, 6 = the USSR. The equality is that this fourth world empire, like the USSR (whose fall was foretold in Daniel 8), dominates almost an entire continent. • It has bear feet. The bear is the image of the second world empire in Daniel 7:5 = Tsarist Russia. The feet represent movement and development. What is meant is that the fourth world empire, like tsarist Russia, wages many wars (compare Daniel 7:5) and that its internal development is similar to that of tsarist Russia, which led to the revolution. • It has the mouth of a lion. The lion is the image of the first world empire in Daniel 7:4 = the British Empire. The mouth here stands for the language, so the fourth world empire speaks the same language as the first: English. It is therefore clear that this animal can only mean the USA, which is really the last remaining superpower. This fourth world empire is also referred to as "Greece", which also makes sense in relation to the USA. This is what the statement in Revelation 17:8 refers to, that the beast (= the world empire) was (= the historical Greek world empire) and is not (= at the time of the Roman Empire when Revelation was written) and will be there (= in our time). For these reasons, it makes sense to see the G7 states in the seven heads of the animal. This is confirmed by Revelation 17:9, according to which the seven heads are seven mountains (= prominent - not: outstanding! - states) and seven kings (= rulers of the seven states). They are part of the animal = the fourth world empire, so they are connected to it for better or for worse. Revelation 13:2 also says that this fourth world empire is the kingdom of Satan, because the dragon refers to Revelation 12 and according to Revelation 12:12 he represents the devil. So, the Antichrist belongs neither to the fourth world empire nor to the G7, but according to Revelation 13, 12 he exercises the entire (military, otherwise he would be one of the seven heads) power of the fourth world empire and, according to Revelation 13, 13, he himself releases fire sky fall. Who could that possibly mean?

2 reason I believe the story. 1 , everything he talked about was found. Cisterns, Roman camps and ramp , even names. 2nd...He was writing the story with the Roman's who were at the battle reading this. If Generals or soldiers had won a hard fought to the death type of battle....do u think they would allow him to steal that from them and have them enter the fortress with everyone already dead ? I don't think so....

How do I get a copy of the Hebrew Bible or the Jerusalem Bible with a publishing date of pre-1950's. I find updates (like so many "Christian" bibles have been) seem to either change translations or are rewritten for stupid people who can't think for themselves.

If you grew up at least partially wild, and especially autistic, you'd be surprised how you seem to automatically be an Animist. I say autistic because interestingly we have a much higher rate of believing, of our own accord, that everything has a spirit. I was one such child, neglected, impoverished, and raised in a hybrid marsh, swamp, and forest. I had nothing to do except be outside all year round. While I was raised very strictly to be Christian, I can't remember a time I ever believed any of it. It was like a totally different world was being described to me, like a cartoon. Animism just felt real and made sense. These days I've put in so much thought that I really just don't know anymore, but it's interesting how, for me, growing up with nature made me instinctively adopt Animism without knowing anything about it, meanwhile Abrahamic religions were simply never compatible with my natural life. Leave it to Atheists/Sciencists and their god Darwin to be a tool and an idiot. Animism may be an -ism but it isn't a religion. Similarly, "Norse mythology" or "the old way" or "Paganism" could hardly be considered a religion as beliefs vary from person to person, and it's always been that way. Religion is a less scary word for cult, and Odinistic beliefs were impossible to use to control populations, which is why Christianity was so violently pushed on my ancestors.

It's interesting comparing the chronologies of the variant versions of Genesis. The Masoretic Text [MT] gives 1,656 years from Creation to the Flood, whereas the Septuagint [LXX] has 2,242 years (as well as adding Kainan to the genealogy, sandwiching him between Arphaxad and Shelah). The 1,656-year figure can be divided into 72 cycles of 23 years (where 23 years = 8,400 days = 1,200 weeks), so that after the Creation Week -- amounting to 604,800 seconds -- the 'Antediluvian Age' lasted 604,800 days, where each average year was 365 + 5/23 days in length (365.24217391304 days). The LXX's 2,242-year Antediluvian Age can be divided into 118 cycles of 19 years -- the 19-year cycle being equal to 235 synodic months, which the Jews adopted & adapted from the Babylonian Calendar, even going so far as to retain the Babylonian month-names (Nisan, Iyar, Sivan Tammuz, etc.), the 2,242 years amounting to 27,730 synodic months = 818,883 days, rounded down to the nearest whole number of days. But the Samaritan Pentateuch [SP] has the Antediluvian Age lasting 1,307 years (and, like the MT, does not include Kainan in-between Arphaxad and Shelah). The number '1307' is not evenly divisible by any other whole number less than itself -- i.e. '1307' is a Prime Number. This may suggest that the SP text contains a purer version of the ancestral chronology than either the MT or the LXX -- both of which can be subdivided into 72 cycles of 23 years [8,400 days] or 118 cycles of 19 years [235 synodic months]. I can well imagine an "Ur-Genesis" listing the generations, from Adam to Noah, etc., and stating a set of numbers for the age of each Patriarch when they begot their heir, with there being no 'divine plan' at work to lend significance to the numbers. Consequently, I can well imagine LATER scribes imposing upon the original text a DIFFERENT set of numbers which would carry more symbolic significance: the MT altering the 1,307-year period to 1,656 years so as to make the number of DAYS of the Antediluvian Age equal the number of SECONDS in Creation Week (i.e. 604,800 = 72 x 8,400 = 7 x 86,400), and the LXX altering it to 2,242 years so as to make it a number evenly divisible by '19' (the Babylonian Calendar cycle of 235 months) as well as to compete with chronologies written (probably) in Alexandria regarding the age of the world, with 'pagan' nations reckoning the world to antedate the 3761 BCE epoch of the MT system. Josephus gives 2,256 years for the duration of the Antediluvian Age, which equals 47 x 48, the '47' seemingly being the cycle's duration analogous to the 23-year and 19-year cycles of the MT and LXX texts, respectively. I can't find any particular significance to the number '47' from a calendrical standpoint. There are 17,166.3833426 days in 47 tropical years (of 365.24219878 days each), and 48 such cycles would amount to 823,986.400444 days, or 823,986 days rounded down to the nearest whole number. These numbers amount to 581.308547812 synodic months every 47 years, and 27,902.8102949 synodic months for the whole 2,256-year period. Clearly, with these FOUR distinct chronologies for the Antediluvian Age, we have at least THREE redactors ALTERING the 'Ur'-text . . . and quite possibly FOUR, if there was a now-missing 'Ur'-text of Genesis no longer extant after having been purposely changed by later traditions. What happened to the Genesis text used by Josephus as his source for the data in his ANTIQUITIES, one must wonder, with its 2,256-year period? He worked as the official historian of the Flavian Emperors, and presumably he'd been given access to whatever confiscated Torah scrolls the Romans had seized during the War . . . so why did it disappear? Perhaps we'll never know. Josephus' source-text and the SP version of Genesis . . . why do they differ so from the MT and LXX, as well as from each other? Could ONE of them be the 'Ur'-Genesis? If so, which is more likely to be? If I had to guess, I'd say the SP version, with its 1,307-year period from Creation to the Flood. Later redactors had valid reasons to suppose that the Pre-Flood world was older than that, and I have a hard time supposing the SP redactor purposely REDUCING the duration from 1,656 or 2,242 or 2,256 years DOWN to a mere 1,307 years. But we'll probably never know . . .

If my memory serves me right, I believe the bible states "Christ's Church" will not experience the Tribulation times (God's Wrath), Christ's Church will be "caught up" (Harpazo-Greek/Raptured-English) before such times. That's why the "pre-tribulation" Church (Believers) is not mention in Revelation Tribulation events, they are already with Christ. This allows the Believers/Saints to be with Jesus when he returns for the second coming "on" earth. That said, during the actual Tribulation, with the help of the two witnesses sent by God, those who repent, accept Christ and adhere to Bible scripture (as written) will have a path to God's Kingdom on "The Day of the Lord" (the second coming).
