Thanks for the update! I was afraid you'd say it was time to upgrade to an M2 or M3....but you still have and love your M1. Phew! I say that because I'm looking at upgrading from a 2014 MBP to a gently used M1 Pro 16 GB 512GB. This video (and I watched your other 2 that I found about this computer ) have helped me to lock in my decision to buy the one I have my eye on! So again, thank you!

I’d be interested to know if you’ve heard of a way to maintain touch functionality without the pen on the iPad while using it as an extended display, I’ve seen this done so I do know it’s possible just not totally sure how

Hi! Maybe a stupid question. Log profile or CineD requires different exposure in a standard workflow (bacause you are going to color grade the footage in post). Whith real time luts how are you going to expose? Simply in the way you do with a natural picture profile even if let's say the lut you are using is based on a log profile? (So exposing based on what you see in the S9 screen)

But MacBooks expire after 5 years. There is no way to adapt to latest software. What’s the point in spending so much!

If I might start investing in L-mount, this would be the first lens I‘d buy.

I also believe in prime lenses for image quality even though I have never worked professionally, they just look great. The 50mm is great and what I learn on. I have noticed that that my 90mm primes have made some great portraits and landscapes and even environmental portraits. The 40 mm is also good for some landscapes/portraits. I guess you need a few different focal lengths. I also have done some hiking with a camera bag just like in your video. Hiking is a fun recreation too. You should make some more hiking videos like this one.

what abaout slow motion ? just have 60fps ?

The S9 was the camera I have been waiting for ten years now. Tomorrow I am going to a local camera store to have it in my hands before buying. I am planning to buy the S9 with two lenses: this 45mm and the 17mm to start with. Sigma made its fantastic i series lenses and now Panasonic made a decent camera for them. I wear glasses so an EVF is not a must to me. I prefer two hinged screens like the S1H or GH7 have, but I hope I can live with this left protruding screen that makes this sleek camera twice as big.

I bought into Sony a few weeks ago and sold my Fuji xh2 and a pile of lenses…….. reason to switch was the much lauded brilliant AF on sony……. I got the A7iv however, I am finding many more of my photos are mushy and out of focus now compared to my fuji…… a bit gutted really

also, for context, I'm an absolute amateur. I had a DSLR from canon for over ten years and never learned to take advantage of all of its strengths. I sold it to a co-worker and she is taking tremendous photos with it. Now I own a beautiful Lumix S5II and I do love it but holy moly there are a million settings and I'm just little by little learning to use them. No regrets but one thing I didn't realize is that you need a super computer with insane amounts of sad space to use the footage for video. I can barely edit anything on what I have and a new computer is incredibly expensive as I just spent so much money on the camera. it will beba while before I can afford a new PC and even new lenses.

You shouldn’t be quoting the 403g weight… nobody does that (and it makes no sense, since it’s unusable). The standard is to quote with battery and card, which is 486g.

As an enthusiast I just hope they gonna make like S7 with mechanical shutter and maybe rangefinder EVF. I don't need S5II level camera but panning phots of taxis in Tokyo and scooters in Italy are among my favourite vacation memories.

The S5ii + S9 duo, is what I'm doing. I have one, just need the other now lol. A-cam and B-cam, that's it !
