Take care of your rotors? 🤣🤣🤣 that's how rotors work they turn kinetic energy into HEAT.

You, my friend are mistaken. There are certain times when your body can be directly affected by 12 V. Let me give you a 9 V example take a 9 V battery and stick it to your tongue. If everything you just said is true there should be no reaction you should be able to keep that 9 V battery on thereain’t gonna happen so with that being said if you are sweating and you touch a 9 V battery yes you can get shocked. It’s not gonna be enough to do serious damage but it’ll be enough to let you know that you don’t want to do it again.

Licking your fingers isn’t the same as sweating on a hot day and leaning your salt-sweaty forearm on the bear metal car engine and accidentally touching the other salt-sweaty forearm to the positive terminal of the 12v battery. Most people associate accidental electrocution deaths with being cooked, but that's not how most people die. Most die of heart fibrillation, which only takes about 0.009 Amps across the heart. This is when the heart goes out of sync and just vibrates uselessly. A defibrillator machine puts more than 0.009 Amp across the heart to clamp in from vibrating, hoping that your heart will restart in sync again. Remember your body is filled with salt water, a good conductor of electricity. It is your thin dry skin that determines the voltage pressure needed for electricity to puncture through into your salt water.

PRO tip: Wear eye protection if you plan to do anything that you know will cause sparks around a car battery. If it happens to have some escaped gases around it, you may get a sulphuric acid bath which could blind you if it got in your eyes! Be safe!

Get sweaty, and you'll feel an uncomfortable tingle across your skin that is similar to an itch. That's the worst I ever got from a 12v system on a car when I was a mechanic. Now, the ignition system will make you wet yourself if you're lit up by it.

This confirms that this guy is a total wackado. Any spark=potential fire or explosion. Any real mechanic will confirm usually with a tale of a battery disappearing with a bang. This is not bad info, just an asshat way of presenting.

I went a ways through comments. Listen people ....never short a battery intentionally. It's a potential hydrogen bomb.filled with hydrocloric acid . If over charged it vents highly explosive gas.your charging system could do it. A battery charger could do it. I've seen 40yr machanics do it. I've seen 4 blow up in my 63years.sounds like a double barrel shotgun going off. Don't forget the acid going everywhere. Don't be stupid . follow safty rules.they are designed to eliminate sparks at the battery. This erisponsible fool might learn the hard way there are worse things than electric shock...

Thank you for the good pointers. One question I would like to ask is should the car/truck be hoisted up level to ensure all the old oil being drained out completely or would it has the same result with having the car/truck front wheels driving onto the ramps (as in your case) for accessibility. Thank you for your clarification
