Opera Project Columbus is a non-profit arts organization founded with the mission of providing a creative and supportive community for singers and lovers of opera in the Columbus area. We hope to fill two needs:
The need to provide singers in the formative stages of their careers an opportunity to sing in smaller venues and in ways that require less expensive staging and orchestral accompaniment.
The need to provide Columbus audiences with more opportunities to hear opera.
Our vision is to be innovative, flexible and adventurous within the context of operatic music. In this way, we hope to build an audience of opera fans of all ages, but particularly young fans and performers who will help to keep opera a living art in our community. Visit our website to learn more!
