    Henry, you sound like a bratty child who is upset that someone wasn't bending over backwards to help you with your product development. You sent out a machine that didn't work. The man has other things going on in life. Perhaps you might try to a more have a more nuanced perspective on life and act more professionally in future.

    I know it would be some bigger change and the 5w laser might have been the cost effective option to go. Today the sweet spot is with bigger laser so 10-15W should be used. It would help with temperatur cycling of unused material. And surely would make it easier to clean the parts.

    I'm not much for CZcams drama but I don't want to be the 1/5 customer that gets a defective product. If the product is not ready, don't send it in for reviewing.

    A little advice, don't make excuses. There was no need to say "just because some things went wrong doesn't mean everything did..." It would have been much more convincing if you had just addressed the issues and fixes. Excuses make this look like a shallow PR effort instead of a genuine desire for transparency. Also, don't take it personally when someone doesn't want to spend more of their time on something you've put a lot of effort into. From your perspective, you've given them something of value, however from theirs, you may have simply given them a piece of content, or a machine that they don't have time to tinker with to make work. What I took away from Scotty was that your product is a riskier one to back on Kickstarter in its current form, not that we shouldn't back it. I have to agree with him that you still have a long way to go, because you've done the 80% that takes 20% of the effort, and it seems you've only just gotten to the hard part, which is finding every little thing that can and will go wrong, and trying to address them all. It is also concerning that you claim on your Kickstarter that the R&D is complete, which this video refutes. The many issues uncovered and addressed in this video are likely only a fraction of the issues you will encounter, but the fact that you do not seem to think so, despite believing it was ready for reviewers, says otherwise. I noticed you're planning to do another batch of test machines, but it seems a bit optimistic to think only one more round of testing is needed. I'm also concerned with the number of times 'reliable' showed up on the Kickstarter, despite the issues the reviewers and and you saying multiple times in this video 'when it works..." Good luck.

    It seems clear to me that you're a professional company interacting with unprofessional content makers. Transparency is the biggest factor in your business, and it will make your company successful eventually. My only suggestion is to not make too much of content makers' opinions, take it in stride when something gets a bad review, show what you're doing to fix it, and dispassionately use good and bad reviews to grow where possible.If I wanted one of these I wouldn't let one review put me off, and I'd be very interested to see what you're doing to mitigate any real problems.

    This looks very good, but 2 major aspects: powder is a big problem, it's too toxic. And the finishing colour is not grainy. If you could improve those two aspects, it's a hit.

    Minimum 10.000 dolars for the machine. + You need adiacent machines for postprocessing, meaning 1. Oven 2. Parts Dust cleaning machine And you have to consider that the material for sls is more expensive.

    Is Scotty and other reviewers beta testers. No. Your admission of mistakes is great but the shift to the second guy making excuses is garbage. Those issues should have been worked out before being sent to a reviewer.

  • @jfieqj
    @jfieqj Před 4 dny

    The response to Scotty just doesn't sit well with me. You sent what you positioned as a review unit, he reviewed it and had a bad experience with it. He showed lots of uncut footage of trying to resolve the problems with you on the phone, and there were just more problems. A review is supposed to be representative of a final product, not a beta test. Do you think if you had a customer deal with that many issues they would've been happy to "appreciate the hard work you put into it" by putting more of their time into dealing with sending it back and getting replacement parts? No, they'd be pissed off.

    @Festivejelly Před 6 dny

    Sorry Henry, but I dont feel any sympathy for you. Its your choice to put in all the hard work. You cant ship a broken unit to a youtuber then get annoyed when they highlight the shortcomings. Why should a youtuber spend hours and hours of their time to fix something you shipped that didnt work? They dont get paid for it, maybe hire an internal QA team? I think Scotty was bang on with his criticism .

    As a small company toy maker - I'm 100% interested in something like this - FOR ME you'd eliminate the need for SLA and FDM and wondering about Mold Making services in one machine. The price is high but worth it IMO. You're combining the durability of FDM and the cleanliness of SLA. Although the volume is a little too small for me (I'd need an 8x8x10), I'd be interested to see how this performs and where the company goes in the future. Amazing! Wish you all the success.

  • @raulvlk
    @raulvlk Před 6 dny

    These changes should be tested again by beta testers, not by the final consumer. The fact that 1 of 5 printers were bad (due to any reasons: transport for example) is a 20% failure rate on the final end. All these promised changes should be shown and tested in real life by people outside the company, not just in words. Good update on the project

  • @raziberg
    @raziberg Před 6 dny

    Great job addressing the issues and the feedback and thanks for the update. But I have two points: 1. Once you create a company and a product and are advertising it through CZcams reviews I don't agree that you are "just 2 regular guys" anymore. You have new responsibilities and I'm not sure you get that yet. 2. It's great to beta test your product and learn from that but sending it to influencers is not the way to do that... Send it after you are done beta testing and fixed all of those issues. Overall great job though :)

  • @RAD-RC
    @RAD-RC Před 7 dny

    I think giving the printer to content creators as beta testers is definitely a double edged sword. On one hand you get a ton of exposure for the kickstarter but they don't have the time to properly help you solve issues as they are on tight schedules to keep doing their jobs of producing content. A smaller very detail oriented team of beta testers would definitely yield better results for the actual improvement of the product as they would have the time to fully go through the process and work with you to solve these issues. Just my 2c

    The cleaning process needs work. It would be wise to tell your future customers that the two fan solutions you showed are grossly insufficient. It's troubling to think you're actually considering printing people's debridement boxes, considering how many defects could result at scale and making injection molding a reach goal instead of bare min standard, seeing how dangerous what it is meant to handle is. The particles will get everywhere, and most professional hoods are inadequate when handling metal powders - oof. They really need to be wearing a backup layer of PPE, disposable bunny suits, and properly rated face masks; they really need to drape off a completely enclosed plastic chamber, the suction needs to be routed to the proper filter, etc. Honestly, I would think about selling a proper PPE kit and shop set up alongside the printer as a baseline 'bare minimum' before going commercial, but that's just me.

    Hopefully you don't spend all your time reading comments... but... Scotty is Scotty. He's OK, I like him, but a little emotional and maybe comes across as a little unstable at times. He has admitted as much in older videos, so I don't believe I am saying anything he wouldn't agree with. But consider this, I saw his video first. I didn't know about the project until then. I went on (CZcams happily suggests all videos on this topic now lol) to watch others. And your own. And your kickstarter. All publicity is good publicity - especially when you are first trying to get noticed. I have not ordered one - yet - but likely will in the coming weeks. I'll likely follow up with an email, but reach out if you need any investment/production help. Seriously. As for your rebuttal, in the future just stick to your machine and your solutions. Never share private texts (even if others do) as it shows one as being less than trustworthy (would you like your private emails shared?). It's fine to acknowledge shortcomings found by others, but only focus on the facts not the personalities. Never take this stuff personally. Better to acknowledge issues discovered and your solutions. He said, she said never helps... Trust me, people take anything (like what Scotty said) with a huge grain of salt. No need to defend yourself. Most will assume it's just drama and overblown. Just friendly advice for next time. And yes, there will probably be a next time. I hope my comments can help you in the future. Good luck guys!! 🤖
