One problem I see here is that you bought a gm product.😂 The HydroBoost has never been anything to write home about, even when they came out with it 50 or so years ago. I really try not to be brand specific when choosing a truck , I’ve wanted to give a gm a try but they consistently fall behind in so many categories. Anymore I see gm vehicles (trucks specifically since I don’t look at cars) as just 5-6 year consumable vehicles, where I see the other two major mfgr’s as a 12-20 year investment. If just looking at the outside, I’ll take a truck that’s not rusting away within 3 years.

If you don't have one adding a 2in receiver to the back bumper is a great addition for either bike racks or a cargo carrier. I have a deeze toolbox back there i use for hoses and stuff. I also addes a swing out arm mount for my Blackstone. Also a simple tension rod can give you privacy anywhere.

So you are messing with the accumulator mounted next to the master cylinder. Some how or another your basically recharging it or freeing up the components inside. I'm a mechanic not a tech. So I run in generalities I don't 100% know that's what you're doing but I know the old systems and that's what it sounds like to me

Your power steering needs to be properly bled. Turn your steering wheel lock to kick 50 times. Do it slowly or you'll cause cavitation and make it worse. Count to 6 between each turn.

I use the wireless thermometer for winter camping so I know when the undercarriage of the trailer is reaching freezing temperatures and I can turn on my heaters or to monitor my heaters are working so nothing will freeze in sub zero temperatures. I get the warm fuzzies watching this video, I have done almost every one of these upgrades to my 45 ' toy hauler that weren't already in the trailer . Our mini fridge in the garage always opened when towing so I added a baby lock to it and no issues since. I prefer to call mine a stinky slinky! The only thing I would add to the list is some Yellow propane T-Tape just in case you have a propane leak and you need a quick fix for fittings.

I've had the same set up on mine for 4 years now. Works great! Although my truck is a 1/2 ton, it does squat a little more in the rear but my trailer is almost level which i was looking for. Yes the stuff is kind of heavy but that doesn't bother me at all.

That is def not rite some how there is air in the system make them bleed it! If that dealer won't go to another if that dealer won't go to another once you find a dealer that will take the 30 min to properly bleed the system that will n9t happen and your brakes will work properly

I travel full time in my 5th wheel and your list of stuff sums up a lot of what i carry too. I have some extra’s like a cordless recip and circ saws, drill, driver, angle grinder and a pin nailer and some other tools. The only thing i wish i had with me is my welder. Maybe someday my little Hobart 140 thats sitting in storage will make its way into the RV. You are so right about being prepared. Like you i am a self reliant kind of guy and when you are out there and you need something you need it so i carry quite a few supply’s and spare parts as well as a pile of tools. Some people say i go to far when they see things like two spare leaf springs and hardware in my truck box but im not going to be the guy stranded on the side of the road. I like to be prepared for anything, it’s how i was raised…. My father used to say there are three kinds of people, those that make it happen, those that watch it happen and those that wonder what happened. I fall firmly in the make it happen camp….

@Dan’sProShop I would highly recommend get Morimoto - dielectric grease to seal the gaps between the led bulbs connector. So the moisture won’t get in. It’s an extra barrier for extra protection.

Yes buy that, that is the direct cause of flex and bent hitches, just buy a truck rated for your trailer, man people are dumb.

Lasfit is our most go to brand for me and my family’s Toyota and Scion. I own a 2015 lifted Scion xB with Lasfit - LD plus switchback H11 low beam projector, with Lasfit - decoder. Reason is because people had issues with switchbacks by flickering, not turning on, uneven color shift. So I use decoder from Lasfit to see if it actually work when stabilizes the led bulbs. Had this over a year so far and still works wonders. I have Lasfit - LA plus 9005 high beam. My family I bought for them is Lasfit - LA plus H11 low beam projector and new Lasfit - LCair 9005 high beam. I have two more Lasfit led bulbs but I haven’t installed on my brother in law’s 2005 Toyota Sienna. Because I need new set of oem reflector headlights. So that I can installed Lasfit - LC plus 9006 low beam, and Lasfit - LA plus 9005 high beams. I’ve been spending more mostly Lasfit - LA plus for my some friends and our family members because I know they are reliable. Simply because I know that bulbfacts was doing an observation tested for led bulbs. How hot or cooled are they, after 27 minutes of run time which is the average commuter time in the US. The Lasfit - LA plus 96 degrees Fahrenheit, that’s the lowest temperature for all in one. The LC plus is 123 degrees Fahrenheit. And LD plus switchback for the main unit is 89 degrees Fahrenheit, and the external driver should be around 150 degrees Fahrenheit. Any led bulb that’s above 150 degrees Fahrenheit is something u need to take in the consideration for that, anything below 150 degrees Fahrenheit is better. Usually higher wattage more higher temperature. But if they use the right kind of aluminum with heat copper pipe and a right kind of cooling fan to dissipate heat, it will more more efficiently than ever. Like the Lasfit - LS plus 3rd gen for example. For large heatsink an external driver. It’s 93 degrees Fahrenheit. Because it uses a very large heatsink and cooling fan. It’s very efficient. If they have a led bulb that’s small as halogen bulb like Nilight, and they shoved 50W per bulb. It can go almost 300 here’s Fahrenheit because it’s a major imbalance. So I find Lasfit is the best ones. And they become the best of the best for reliability and longevity. They been very good to me and their customer service is the best. They do care about us. And always love to help us to see what they can do for our cars, or if we know what to look for and give them in depth of our experience. They can work with us very well. Lasfit is truly the best for our cars. I’d I highly and I mean HIGHLY recommend Lasfit For those who want super bright reliable, the correct types of two sided led bulbs that will not blind others, while it retains the same beam pattern as oem halogen. When using automotive grade oem led chips that’s specifically design for projectors and reflectors. They are a must buy. ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
