Happened to me when I was 10. My mom worked late and the nanny just went home at 10pm she's our next door neighbour. My mom usually be home by 11pm. So yeah I was in my bed and my door is not closed... So I saw my mum silhouettes, I was sure its my mum cause she has a big curly hair and I know its her but its so dark I can't see anything but just silhouette standing by the door. So I called her and she would usually reply with go back to sleep or something like that. But it was silent. So I just stare at her, trying to find even a glimpse of light or something but it is so dark. Its nothing but a silhouette. Then after a few minutes she walks away and then I hear the key sound from the entrance. I hear the door open and the lights were on. And the first thing my mum did was to check on us. I was a bit confused. As usual she told me to go back to sleep. I still think about it to this day. I wonder what I saw. I wasn't scared or anything at that time. I was just baffled.
