Steamrail should do more North East / Shepparton tours in the future

Another great video and editing from you, well done. The track seems in good condition, yet the train is running slow. This just goes to show, they could run a daily train each way Melbourne / Mildura / Melbourne if they wanted too.

Was this using the standard gauge rolling stock used on the Albury line?

I saw some n classes today, at the North Melbourne flyover while waiting for Steamrail's transfer to Shepperton for the shuttles. Great video!

When I was a little kid we lived near Lyndhurst railway station 5 mins away and often I would sneak out late at night to see either an R class or a J class shunting on the one siding there picking up sand from the sand pit great memories nothing sounds as lonesome as a steam whistles late at night in winter
