Ran into this tutorial just after I got my 120 mm acrylic and it motivated me to start working on my head balance. Immediately. I hopped out of bed, plonked it on my head, and it promptly hit the hardwood floor like a meteor (sorry housemates!). That was about a month ago, and I can now walk around my building, sit down and stand up, navigate stairs, and even do some sweet one-leg poses! Some extra tips: Besides a pretty aggressive practice schedule (I put the ball on my head whenever I'm just sitting around, racking up hours of hold time quickly), I think the secret to my picking it up so quickly was starting from sitting. I was really struggling to make the ball stick when I was standing, but then one day I was chilling in my chair watching CZcams and fidgeting with the ball. Put it on my head and BOOM! It stayed there for a few seconds. I realized that sitting with back support meant that I only had to stabilize from the neck up, which made it waaaay easier. After a few days of doing that a bunch, I could sit or kneel without back support, which meant I could work on my computer with a ball on my head for hours, and from there, standing soon became possible. I think belly dance training also helped me move on to walking easily, since I already knew how to isolate my hip movement from my upper body. So maybe try working on some simple hip circles or figure 8's if the transition from standing to stepping isn't happening. And as a bonus it looks frickin cool to wiggle your hips with a ball on your head! XD
not funny sorry
after 17 days nahh.
A CZcams masterpiece
I know she hates white people
Really appreciate how succinct you are and how you broke down the move was great. Thank you for the explanation!🙏🏾🤘🏾🔮👏🏾
Day 239 of rediscovering old videos
smooth
"The inside of your house is a fairly safe place to play with your balls." I couldn't help but laugh at that.
It breaks at 5:10 for everyone here from the tweet
Another incredible demonstration/performance!!!
Nice hat
For science
This is what I have in mind when i tell people I love documentaries

Nice! That’s a big ball!
She know how to handle balls. I don’t want damage to my balls. They have already been operated on once. 😅
That was an exceptionally beautiful performance. I like your costumes and the selection of music.
nice one
Amazing.
Dawn you do it all!!!
What is the music
I love it. No surprise, I’m sure, but this is very, very elegant and inspiring.
So cool! How are you not burning yourself in that sunshine with the ball?
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Beautiful combinations
Thank you!
Great job Dawn!
Thanks
Beautiful contact juggling...
Dawn, I have been a fan of your contact juggling videos for years. They are my favorite source of inspiration, especially for body rolls. I want to express my admiration for your dedication to the beautiful art of contact juggling. As an older adult, I still find your videos motivating and captivating. You create magic with your performance and spark my unending interest in contact juggling.
This is the sweetest thing. Thank you
It's amazing how you keep the momentum going as you roll the ball across your body. Awesome!!!
Amazing!
Can I ask the size and grams? Im want to do a lot of head stuff but wanna start with a stage ball and not acrylic and Im not sure what size to go with
A regular stage ball is about 360 grams. An acrylic is often 600+ at 100mm
@@DawnDreams yes but what would you suggest to buy if I was doing specifically head contact stuff - maybe wanted to roll on arms as well. I dont know what grams or size or what to consider and Im just wondering what specifically you would suggest for a beginner ♡
@@c333th soft shell stage ball 100mm - babache balls are lovely, but degrade over time. Hard shells are less forgiving. Head bounce balls are fun, but I don't know them. Bigger balls are harder to balance, small balls are more difficult to roll.
Is it harder with bigger balls or smaller?
At this size, harder. It creates big momentum that's hard to control. The weight can injure me with repetitive strain if I am not careful. And a good wack to the chin with a poor chest roll hurts
