Restoration like this is very therapeutic but watching you unscrew every screw or break off every clip, clean the glass and etc is not. Sorry but you have doubled the video time over-dramatising fundamental stuff. Otherwise absolutely, thank you for a top notch training video.

I do like that heating(?) table! I have a big chunk of silk I need to smooth out, as well as another of linen. Both have a love of their own wrinkles. I wish there was more talking about all the things that are being used for the work.

Dude put on new side art and added a battery mod. Fish Tales is a deserving machine and the guy did awesome work, but it wasn't like he rescued a Joust pinball from a mineshaft.

It's a shame about the ill-informed, anodyne commentary. The sound post is not the bridge. The glue is not wood-based. The fingerboard in no way 'breathes life into the violin'. It would be useful to have a real description of what is going on

The restoration costs more than the painting itself. And the skill required to restore is almost as difficult to master than to paint it.

What I dont understand is why she didn't clean the painting or remove the old varnish. The painting looks so dark and to retouch a dirty painting doesn't seem right.

Electrolysis is the best way to do it without removing any base metal, or just soak it in vinegar for 12 hours will remove all the rust. Nice handle work though.

How is the mold prevented from returning though? The paper still looks moldy. All these treatments (except cleaning and drying near a bright window) look as if they will feed the mold.

There is so much that goes in to these restorations. It is wonderful to see the loving care these works of art are handled with. Because of them, we can preserve Artist works for future generations.
