Chapel Porth Beach - Hidden Cornish Cove
Hi guys and welcome!
Todayâs short video is a little look at a hidden gem called Chapel Porth Beach.
We decided to stop off to take a peek on the off chance as we were passing nearby on our way down to a campsite.
It was fairly quiet when we arrived but it soon became quite busy. We only stayed for about an hour.
Itâs a National Trust car park, so you have to pay but there is a cafe and toilets.
Definitely worth a visit but Iâd say get there early!
Thanks for watching, please comment and subscribe đ

Prosper House Camping - Cornwall
Hi guys and welcome to the last video of our maiden voyage! We stop off at Prosper House Camping, an intimate site with great showers, toilets, a shared space with a kettle, fridges and plugs and a washing up area. We had pitch number 6 which was a great size for us, we also had a bench and the company of 3 chickens that wonder around the site haha! We pulled up, got set up then took a walk rou...

Hi guys and welcome! Today we are stopping over in Perranporth, Cornwall. Itâs a lovely little town with an awesome beach. Unfortunately we werenât able to explore the beach today with Ruby like we planned as we were running way behind. But we still managed to have fish and chips on the beach đ Unexpectedly there was a street carnival on the go when we left to go walk back to our van. Anyway, w...

Hi guys and welcome! In todayâs video, we head to Holywell Bay for the afternoon. We love this place, weâve camped down here twice previously. Hi guys and welcome! In todayâs video, unbox and test out the famous Duvalay! We first saw these when camping down in Cornwall 2 years ago and thought they looked so good. Another wonderful video. Thanks for sharing
Another excellent video đ€đŒ definitely one of the best locations in Cornwall, many happy memories
Great video . Looks a great park up. Will have to find that one thanks
@@FOXY-2023 yeah itâs definitely worth finding this place and parking up for the night, for the money itâs the best value weâve found out of all the park ups weâve done so far. We didnât use the showers here but apparently they are really good. Everything is very clean, the staff are very helpful too. And the town itself is very quaint and worth a look around đ
Another great video and stunning part of the world đ€đŒ
Great video, i havent watched any of yours before but will again and what a fabulous carpark i will make sure i visit in my car camper
Ahh thank you so much for watching and visiting my channel đ Youâd love Tintagel, lovely little town, friendly people and the car park is worth its weight in gold. We will certainly be going back there đ
đđ
Great video đ we went to Tintagel in January it was freezing cold when we went
Oooh yeah I can imagine, down on the coast in January đ„¶ Bet it was so quiet though đ Definitely plan on going back as we didnât have time to go down to Merlinâs Cave, and the shops I wanted to go in were closed lol!
Another awesome video! Iâm still dying for some of Shanes cooking haha
Thank you đ€đ» Ahhh youâll love his tikka masala, itâs better than anything Iâve tried in any restaurant or takeaway đđ»
Awesome video! Havenât been to these parts for many years, so happy memories brought back. Happy birthday Shane also đ€đŒ
@@ExploringWithBoss yeah you need to get back down there đČ And thanks for the birthday wishes đ
Enjoy looks like the van is ready
@@mennoboon8037 thank you âșïž And yeah the van is basically ready now, the only thing we donât have is a folding sofa/bed in the back, but at the moment at least Ruby can sleep in a travel cot in that space. We wonât be doing the bed till next year as we canât afford it at the moment but itâs good that we can still use it as it is đ

Disgusting af I'm not ever going
Hi can I ask what became of the electrics attached to the bulkhead thanks
Going back to Alcudia this year! Good to see it hasnât changed much at all since the early 2000s. One thing I did notice in the video, do they not have people with their own stalls anymore down the strip of shops? There used to be a man who made hand painted clocks, etc. so happy the crepe man is still going also!
@@lucyturner862 yeah we didnât see any stalls set up at all down the strip. We didnât get a chance to try a crepe but weâll definitely be having one when we go back next year đ€€ Such a lovely place âïž
Hello from California! Thank you for this summary of your experience. I'm sorry you were treated unfairly by whomever scammed you. As a Mexican-American i learned not to trust anyone anywhere other than the actual Website or Ticket booth. Anything bought out on the public streets is a high chance your being scammed. Also, Mexico is not a scammer country. There are bad people with bad intentions just like anywhere else in 1st, 2nd and 3rd world countries. Not blaming you but you need to be smarter especially when traveling abroad. You can become a target for many other things as well. Please don't ever buy anything from the streets. Take care and i'm sorry you had to go trough this experience. May god bless your kindness! :)
Looks like the little one is having an awesome time , children are just precious gifts we invest our time with .
Yeah she loves the park, always smiling and wanting to try anything new đ Sheâs definitely a precious gift to me đ„°
You saved me and my gf a lot of rage and disappointment thank you so much ! This is the exactly the kind of stuff we hate. weâre staying in a 5 star hotel so money is not an issue but value for money is key.
Yeah thatâs the point, you want good value for what youâre paying. A lot of people have a great time here but for us it was a money grabbing experience and a huge let down, especially after we paid so much for the âspecialâ tickets as well.
@@HelenHollywoodVlogs yeah does not surprise me what you find with most places is that the popular places are the worst as they just jump on the tourist bandwagon. where as there will be so much better hidden gems if you look hard enough.
Great place to go, donât bother with Sauble Beach, the SHITHOLE of Ontario
Yeah Southampton was such a lovely town, very laid back and peaceful, beautiful beaches and lots of pretty homes to look at. We did go to Sauble as my husband went there a lot as a kid with his dad. But I do prefer Southampton đđ» Iâve had a few people say that Sauble isnât what it used to be unfortunately.
Van is looking good! đđ. Y'all are doing a great job on it!
Thank you so much đ We canât wait to get it done and finally go out camping in it đ€©
@@HelenHollywoodVlogs You're Welcome đđ€
Complete SHIT HOLE, avoid at all costs, residents are reprobates, its a mess
I feel your pain! Iâm converting an ex-AA van too⊠very nearly finished it. Doing the windows was pretty awful. We had the same issue with our (plastic) mastic gun, which resulted in problems with the side window we fitted to the sliding door. The gun literally snapped and I had no chance getting an even bead. We bought a much better one for the rear window. Thereâs so little room to put your beading when the u channelling goes on that back window - itâs tough! My window isnât perfect (there are a few little smears of mastic I wish werenât there) but Iâm pretty happy looking back. To be fair, itâs probably the toughest job (and certainly the most nerve wracking). Iâll follow your build with interest! Good luck!
Good vid đ
Ahh thank you âșïž
Outdoor have a major blast at that sale , any and everything imaginable is there . Just so awesome .
Think I would of paid up toget that job done Thanks
It wasnât too bad to be fair, Shane enjoyed it ( to an extent haha ) and our friend helped us out too. I think it was done in just a couple hours đ
Still rattles like a what?? Hehe
You donât wanna know haha đ
Debating on getting one of these. Dispatch I just bought died 3 days later :( had any nasty surprises either yours?
Awesome vlog đ
Ahh thank you đ
A lot nicer than the Southampton we have here in the UK lol
I've been with the wife it was one of the best night we ever had. Had table service and we had to wait in a que but thats not a issue. I think you really are cluthing at straws and just dissing the place you practically made yourself hate the place.
Cute!đŒđŒđŒ
Thank you âșïž
Yellow with the black top looks pretty niceđ
Yeah it does, it really changes the look of it đ
How come you only used the roller on the wheel arches and not on every sheet you put on? And why did you remove the anti vibration foam from the rear registration plate? looking good so far! đ€
Thanks, yeah we are loving how itâs turning out so far đ And we forgot about the roller untill the last minute đ I think with the foam on the plate, it didnât match the new plate we were putting on? Canât quite remember the actual reason Shane took it off lol đ
Nice one for sure, good to have you can be on the road all the time with the family. Like the old diesels better though, these add blue engines sometimes make you go back to the garage.
Yeah heâs a great looking van - and even more so with the pop top now on and all the windows too ( videos to come ) Weâve heard mixed things about the AddBlue, I just hope we donât get any big issues.
Good until the wet belt lets go
The garage changed the wet belt for us before they let us take it away. They did a couple other jobs as well ( pump etc )
@HelenHollywoodVlogs thankyou for your reply , thatâs reassuring to hear - I used to go into Exeter diesels a lot back in the day , be strict with your servicing / oil changes . Happy travels.
We go to cancun next month and all the workmates have said itâs a must but reading the comments , Iâm not so sure now !
If youâre planning on going and just staying down on the main floor, drinking and dancing, then it should be a fun night. But the staff will expect huge tips, even if youâve paid a premium to get inside. Itâs potentially a great night for most people, I wanted it to be but our experience was just really disappointing.
It's amazing
Where is the big screen in the dashboard i don't like the small radio screen in some transits i would go for one with the big touch screen
Yeah we donât like the small screen either. We ordered a double din radio ( think thatâs what itâs called ) before we picked the van up. So itâs a much bigger screen and itâs a âsmartâ one too. We will be doing a video of the installation of that soon enough đ I canât stand standard radio systems lol.
Have the AA looked after the wiring after they decommissioned it
@@vwgolffancarreviews7111 yeah itâs been thoroughly looked after. We have a full service history of the van as well. We are the first people to own it since the AA had it. It went to a garage in Exeter. Luckily, they serviced it before it hey let us have it and they changed the wet belt for us and a few other bits as well, which saved us a ÂŁ1200 job. And it only has 65,000 miles which is great for the year.
â@@HelenHollywoodVlogsthats will be a good Van to live in
@@vwgolffancarreviews7111 yeah itâs going to be awesome once weâve got it fully done. Itâs going to take a while, but at least when we have the basics done ( insulated and carpeted) that means we can camp in it for race weekends or random weekends away.
Da fuck are the masks all about in 2023 ?
This was January 2022 - there were still loads of restrictions in place
Awwww the excitement really comes across in this video! Looking forward to seeing the transformation of the van and all the travel and fun you'll have!
Ahh thank you so much Rob đ đ„° I still feel excited now when I look at it, watching it come together bit by bit, getting excited at the thought of all the adventures to come. We canât wait to carry on sharing our journey in our Bumblebee đ€©
Thanks for the information, I rather spend that kinda of money on a Vegas Show.
Vegas is way better for sure. Iâve been a couple times and seen a show each time which was really enjoyable and worth the money
Good job bro! Keep going!đź

Get a nibbler mate
Oh whatâs that, never heard of it?
@@HelenHollywoodVlogs it attaches to a drill and cuts sheet metal. Not expensive. Leaves a much nicer edge and follows the line.
Do you need a passport to cross and come back? Or is ID enough? Maybe birth certificate??
Yeah you need your passport and you also need an ESTA or a visa - if you donât have those, you wonât be able to pass through the American security checkpoint unfortunately. You also have to pay a little fee which is around $6. But it depends on where youâre from. If youâre an American or Canadian citizen, the rules are different and I think then all you need is a passport
@@HelenHollywoodVlogs thank you for replying!

Aww your message was sad to read, because I feel your pain for wanting and longing for âthose good old daysâ I understand what you mean, remembering the good old days of childhood. My husband came here as a kid with his dad during the summers and has lots of fond memories. I would have loved to see this place back in the day đź
We going tonight and if we get same service as you I'll leave an demand refund and go look around cancun
Always wanted to visit Canada tbh, hopefully one day? You donât often associate Beaches with Canada either but this looks lush!
Yeah I donât think of beaches when I think of Canada, and all the beaches are a part of a gigantic lake đź itâs so big it looks like the ocean đ Definitely get yourself over there when you get a chance, itâs lovely and so are the people đ
Beautiful view đđ©đ»đ
Thank you đ And yeah the views from my dads house are stunning. That was my childhood home and I always appreciated all the countryside around đČ
What room please?
Room 2711. Any room ending with 11 at this hotel will be one of these corner rooms đ
You had that experience because you didnât tip. No tipping = disrespect = u get sh*t service. Idc where you came from or if tipping means rip off for you. Youâre visiting a country and a place where tipping (money) talks. You donât have to give $20 just $3 even will help.
They demanded $125 from each of us⊠thatâs much more than a rip off lol!! And we tipped after each service we were given in other places. The whole point of tipping is because youâve been given a service đ
You just completely missed the point didnât you! You said you donât have to tip $20 $3 will help! yet they where demanding to be tipped $120 each ! You completely bypassed this point when making your point about them not tipping đ€Šđ»ââïž
Then dont go to a tourist trap, go to Vegas thats not a ripoff! đđđđđđđđ
We wanted to go though. Saw videos of the show etc and it looked great. Which Iâm sure it is if you can actually enjoy it. It just turned out to be a bad night and thatâs that. Been to vegas twice, itâs definitely a rip off in places lol but also fun. Different times, different situations.
