You’ve got to be nuts to give up a 1st round pick for Foligno at this stage of his career. But it’s not all on Dubas, everyone in that room was pot committed, you really need someone to step up and say we’re getting a 35 point guy who’s playing in our bottom 6, surely we can find something similar for just a 3rd…… but there is this narrative that you need leadership, true, but not at the deadline. Team leaders start at camp and lead the group all season, it’s next to impossible to come in after the deadline and lead a group of strangers. Yarmo took the Leafs to the cleaners on this on.
