Not only that, we talk about Demon's Souls development, how it led to Dark Souls, and how Hidetaka Miyazaki was able to perfect his vision on wanting to make the game he had always dreamt of. I think you forget how bad the Witcher three was at lunch.
21:06 wtf is this skeleton doing there!?!?
11:10 The game that actually makes you think about how you'll get to a certain place, which path is the shortest, the riskier...adult life simulator xD 16:28 Funnily enough, I always found this tab extremely intuitive, I maybe took some time to make the right distinction between when I should actually consider %dmg reduction(shields) and when it's attack which matters. But I got your point, I also had to research to find about weight x rolls and stuff.
9:12 *Cries in dark souls 2 tears...😭
0:52 He goes to United States to train hard baseball

If you’d have just rested at the original bonfire and took your time with the gardener you’d have give yourself a chance but you never really tried :/
What a great video, thanks!
Ds3 was my first entry and I'm glad because so many QoL additions made it a much more enjoyable experience than ds1. Playing ds1 and not knowing omni rolling wasn't a thing was a learning curve I did not expect
Ain't the kids games supposed to be fun? 🤔
Red dead 2 was the last game I enjoyed and I can’t even play that again without getting bored or wanting to stop and take a nap
People being super dramatic about DS1 in 2024 was not on my bingo list. Also lmao at Demon's Souls being more flawed than DS1, played the original for the first time about a week ago and am having a much easier time than I do playing DS1 lol. Rolling feels better and the combat is more fluid, this is coming from someone who's beaten all 3 souls games
Are we talking the original or remake?
As someone that who played Demon's Soul (Original PS3) as my last souls game, that's not the case. The combat isn't fluid. It's more like a rock trying to dance electronic music. The bosses, the levels and the game are less polished. Ds1 is an upgrade to everything Demons Souls does.
@@nicolasmonteverdehorlent7712 I'm going to repeat myself. I have beaten all 3 of the Dark Souls games and then picked up the original DeS while nearing the end of DS1. It feels better than DS1. Light attacks chain together more nicely, the combat is faster, and medium rolling is actually viable. I never claimed the level design and bosses were better than DS1, by the way. All I did was make observations about the game's mechanics with direct and fresh experience with the game I was comparing it to. If I can realize that DeS's combat and movement is superior to Dark Souls 1 even on RPCS3, then you should be able to do the same given your experience with it is the experience that was intended by Sony and FromSoft.
@@thatguybis1997 Original. I decided to try the original DeS on a whim when I got bored of DS1 that particular day and enjoyed the combat and movement more than DS1. I'm never going to play the DeS remake because I think Bluepoint did a bad job at creating anything other than a remaster.
@@razztastic That was not my experience with the game, therfore I continue to differ from thy opinion. Clearly, our way of perceiving Demon's Souls lacketh similarities. Talking seriously, I don´t feel the same way, while still rough, the movement in DS1 felt way smoother than DeS. Also the attacks feel heavier, there´s more feedback regarding being hit or hitting something.
I have the time I just get bored super quick now with new games.
Hearing that DS1 was so cryptic is what made me want to play it. I like the idea of not being told a single thing about how to get around the world. Or how the mechanics work. It all feels so esoteric and mysterious.
Ooh esoteric I like that word. I’m taking that.
bro you don't have to fight her
Bro I have to though.
@@thatguybis1997 i understand ive been there if you need any tips lemme know since i have beaten her Edit: oh wait nvm i just realized you made the vid my bad
dark souls is life, there is no guide to it
Starfield is a shitty game, because it is a loading screen simulator and its quests are "Go from A to B and Back" I stopped playing the game, when I got a quest where I had to travel to some other planet through dozens of loadingscreens. Then i walked a mile to spak to some npc to get another quest somewhere else and he had NOTHING important to say or to do. I alt+4 the game and deinstalled it. I was super pissed and I won't install this piece of shit anymore. But Final Fantasy 15 was great, it just had some few downs here and there. But overall it was great. The online mode is also nice to play, but its loading times are super annoying.
the games you liked back then arnt fun anymore but if you have good taste in games you can still find ones that are fun, its mostly just AAA that suck
Enough talk! Let's dance!
Unpolpular opinion here but i started playing games back in 1985 as a 9 year old on a ZX Spectrum 8 bit home computer and i think these games along with the 16 bit era (Amiga / Genesis/ SNES) have held up pretty well whereas the PS1 / PS2 era hasn't aged well and most games on those systems feel like unplayable garbage now (Bully aside). I think what we have now on PS4/5 and PC is pretty good overall and the ability to wishlist games and buy them at big discounts leaves us spoilt for choice. The main gripe i have with AAA titles is the huge file sizes which is why I'll probably give GTA6 a miss and content myself with a new save on Fallout 4.
I remember accidentally hitting Andre and felt terrible pissing him off
Souls games are pretty much all there is.
If there was an achievement for beating the game without using Spirit Ashes I'd be a lot happier.
Terraria
That's so dumb to generalize games aren't fun anymore...There's so many games out there that are still fun to play... Maybe your type of genre of game are just too Narrowed for you.
One answer for you corporate greed over dead trends and they’re eating themselves alive trying to keep the numbers up
It's because we know we are living in a distiopian society and it's so bad video games can't distract us anymore because it's invading our gaming space now and we can no longer ignore it.
Stop comparing stuff to back in the days. You're just an old man who is out of touch and complains about everything.
I've never buy a game since birth.. I don't want to play it online so i rather pirate those singleplayer games than buying it🤣
Baldur’s Gay should have been great but instead of a great endgame or an ounce of replay value we get homosexual romance mode. No thanks. I am not role playing as a f@g.
Because the games are all made by woke losers that spend all their time trying to figure out what gender they are.
9:04 You think FFXV taking 10 years is bad? Heard about a little something called Elder scrolls? Fallout? GTA 6 P.S. - FFXV is beautiful and one of the few games that brought me tears 10:14 I think not showing his full quote is deceptive. It also says if there's no challenge where's the fun? Sadly spiderman 2 wasn't as innovative, had a barely mediocre story, made Spiderman the Spider-cuck took dumb woke political stances(Miles' dad was a police officer crackheads) uglfied Mary Jane, discarded all it's lgbtqabcdefghij.. trash out while selling their game in the middle-east.
My problem with Elden Ring is that it fails on what Dark Souls 1 did and 2 perfected Which is playing the game again I swear to god It gets so boring its frustrating The map is so big and lifeless and having to go through everything again it turns into a tedious chore 90% of the time you will be on horse travel and ocasionally fighting the same mini bosses you killed 5 times before
I don't really understand the issue with time and massive games. Yeah you're busy I understand, yeah if a game was big and made completing each part of it necessary(looking at you AC Valhalla) it does become a slog, if not fun. But I played Elden ring for 7-8 months. Playing an hour or two twice or thrice a week. I missed Godwyn and Mohg completely at my first playthrough. Hell even Radahn was optional.
It's funny, I didn't know how to reliably backstab until I finished my first playthrough of DS1. I got a few by accident, but when I tried to do them I usually failed and a chalked it up to really specific positioning and/or me just being bad. I actually got semi-good at parrying before I learned to backstab, haha. Eventually a random reddit comment made me aware of what I was doing wrong: not only does your shield have to be down, but it has to be down for a significant fraction of a second before you go for the backstab. I had tried putting my shield down, but it wasn't down long enough lol. Edit: Oh, holy crap, I didn't even think of going to Darkroot Basin from Andre and from there going to Blighttown, even without the Master Key. That's still less annoying than going via the Depths lol (though I would still dip into the Depths at least for the Large Ember). Plus you can get the Key to New Londo almost immediately after entering Blighttown and from there dip back out and open the easier shortcut. Depraved class 💀I wish that really existed lol Strongly disagree about equip load. First of all most classes start with a medium roll even without a weapon, and not many people will think to intentionally make themselves uglier. Secondly, I've seen people start with the Knight class, which starts with a fat roll, and at least one of them went, "well, I guess the character I created can't roll well" despite having played Elden Ring, and it was quite a while before he figured out it was his armor's fault.
And now EA wants ads in the game
Ahh is this a real thing cause I’ve been having it for years I quit games flat out but the last 20 years of my life was games I’m a collector too of old classics but I quit gaming a went to board games never looked back but I look far a wide for a good board game and my wife hates it when I say if you don’t spend 6month building, painting the game it’s not worth it
lorewise the Bosses are acually too easy in my opinion
I mean, it's true that boss fights are much more complex than every other souls game but that's what made me love the game, i didn't like dark souls cuz it was too basic But the end game in elden ring is dogshit ngl, areas are empty, boss fight designs are generic and rushed af, everything was just super rushed and sup bar, except for farum azula of course it was perfect, i guess they designed that early given how maliketh appears from super early in the game
The main problem is optimization
Hey shadow of war loot boxes you did not buy with real money you bought them with ingame money and they were super easy to get you just kill an orc captain they drop some money and you can buy loot boxes that were completely free and everyone complained and they removed it from the game And the loot boxes were just other captains to make the game easier for people that suck at the game
Melania's aggression exemplifies one of my least favourite bits of design in the game. They put in tonnes of really cool ashes of war that almost all take too long to use on most bosses.
Only game that is even fun anymore is halo and forza and even they are severely broken and lackluster still
How can someone understand souls games so much and still have one of the worst hot takes of Radahn
Lol I need to play Elden Ring again. I plan on live-streaming it all before the DLC comes out.
Agree about majority of the bosses but not fire giant. A person has to hit a giant in its legs unless this is god of war or lords of the fallen. Its not a "cheese". Also can't put sekiro in the same sentence as elden ring. Obviously completely different combat. Elden ring gives you every tool you need. You're knocking it for the same reason you praise Souls
Fair enough! I just don't think it's a very engaging fight, that may be a better way to put it honestly.
@@thatguybis1997 i can dig that The constant rolling and AOE is corny. At least they gave em a good name 😂
We are growing up I guess 😢
You and me both brother
As weird as it sounds Sony forcing the industry that was primarily dominated by Nintendo to have competition was the best thing for games as a whole. If Sony bent the knee once we would've never had the PS2 let alone games like Dark Souls. That's wild to think about. I know it's a sour statement after the Helldivers 2 controversy but it really shouldn't be overlooked how Sony throughout the years made the modern gaming industry the way it is down to the very games themselves. If you watched a video titled "Did Microsoft ever understand gaming?" You'll get a much better picture of what I mean. Xbox got exclusives it didn't deserve. People were just handing them games to be exclusive on their system in droves all because of how easy it was for them to do so at the time. Sony was forced to make their own exclusives primarily because of Microsoft getting all the current games directly pipe lined to them. So Sony had to not only make exclusive games but BETTER GAMES. We seriously wouldn't have had games like Kingdom Hearts, Devil May Cry, Demon Souls, and God of War without this competitive mindset to make a superior quality game. It's not a coincidence once some of these games went cross platform we started seeing more Anti-Fans for these kinds of games that were once the backbone of Sony's catalog (arguably still is). It's also not really a coincidence Sony is still making the best exclusives (though at a much rarer pace).
Competition breeds good games, I'm telling you.
When I first played it, I was expecting the ballbuster advertised by the media, but was pleasantly surprised by it only being very hard. Thing is, it was still Very Hard. It took me a few hours to get the combat to click, but when it did, BOY DID IT! Parrying in this game is INSTANT dopamine. It's great.
Parrying in this game FEELS GREAT.
Hey you’re the guy who made those terrible, misinformed videos about elden rings bosses!
Yo!
I play Indie games more than triple AAA. There is something more unique about Indie games where a lot of the triple AAA games have a samey feel to them even when they are suppose to be different genres.
