thanks for the video I've recently started in the hobby in my 30's after giving it a go as a kid but finding it frustrating, i've built three kits so far before this video and it's safe to say I was ready to pack in the hobby as every video is about using an airbrush to get the best finish but I will be using your techniques on my next built and hopefully the models turn out great

The kit with love and care gets the job done, but it's a shame there are so few options for 1/48 RAF frontline jets from the past 30 years. There is really only 1 option each for the Jaguar, Tornado and Typhoon and generally they're all early 2010s kits from Revell or Kitty Hawk

If the cleaning the airbrush are the problem you cant have tried many different airbrushes.

This is 1 of my favourite Airfix aircraft kits. I've Just built 2 of them, 1 in flying configuration & the other 1 in landing configuration. I'm going to paint them soon & put decals on them. I'm confident they'll turn out very well.

Hi. The ' One ' tail decal is a 'V' shape. You need to put the angle of the 'V' at the front of the rudder and then draw it along the black line until you get to the back of the rudder. Its supposed to be one decal. I hope that helps. The alternative is to spra it with your airbrush. Good luck.

Just a bit of movie trivia. When Das Boot was being filmed they used the same lot where they filmed The classic Steve McQueen film The Great Escape at the Bavaria Film Studios. Love the model very nice size for a good display. Look forward to seeing you knock this one up

I am currently bilding this kit for a group bild compition at modle club but everyone except me are complaining about the fit I have zero problems with the fit tho it did sand the circle detail's on the top not fun to put them back in doing the red nose powder coat sceam and every shade on this plane I had to mix and it was a pain with the tamia paint's but yea this is a pretty good kit I hope I win

Nice review, buddy! Re: the paint set, those metallic ones (if they're not dried up😝) make up for the brush, and it wouldn't be a Revell kit unless you get at least one piece of junk 😂. I love that cement, too, but trust me, you don't want 1/144 figures... 😱

I did this one last year, did it as a shot down BE109 in and Sussex field, with small robbed out stone wall and a few sheep in there for bring it alive. Good model to build. Only regret is I didn't get aftermarket parts, just built right out the box. But saying that maybe aftermarket parts would have changed the direction of the Dio I was after... Class build me ol lad

i just got my first model it was the jas 39 and it took like 2 hours to do and hour to paint and like 30 minutes to attack and paint all the rockets and i feel like modling is kind of a pain in the ass but at the end where i was painting it it seemed so worth it i might get the a 10 warthog next

Very good tutorial, painting the cockpit has always been a headache, but with this method there will certainly be no problem.

Very nice build of a beautiful aircraft. Always admired the swept wing design. Natural metal finish always makes me nervous, but you pulled it off well. Good to hear that you are becoming more comfortable with it, through practice. Just ordered a pot of the Vallejo Metal Color "Aluminum" for an Airfix 1/72 P51 in my line up. Anxious to try it ! Some Vietnamese Mig-17s were all over silver so i did mine that way....couldn't be bothered with the camo pattern

Awsome little kit...built both this boxing in N.V.A.F markings and the other PZL licence built boxing in East German markings....the ONLY problem i had with it is even though i filled the area where it tells you to add nose weight with liqiud gravity they are both tail sitters

Revell has it on sale now only 5,99 euros. Just bought one

On the real aircraft the grooves between the panels were filled with nitro putty and then carefully sanded. So the broad grooves often visible on models are simply wrong. Enhancing them with a black washing makes the matter even worse. According to Luftwaffe painting instructions the undersides of the wings, rear part of the fuselage and underside of the tailplane did not receive any paint. These parts were just treated with putty and sanded. Wheel hubs had a black coat of paint, they were not left in aluminium. The engine nacelles undersides and flanks were painted in pale grey RLM 76.The colours of the upper surfaces are at least questionable. Contrary to general belief, most aircraft were either finished in the older RLM 70/71 colors or only in dark green 71. The wheel wells on the Revell kit are wrong, Airfix did a better job here. The slats were always extended when the aircraft was on the ground. After takeoff the airpressure held them in the closed position. These are just a few points...

Hello my friend. I feel that the mistake you are making is that you are using an enamel wash over the whole model. Use an oil paint wash and just concentrate it on the panel lines and areas you want to dirty up. You get a lot more control and working time. You can also use a variety of colours and thicknesses to achieve different effects. I recommend Abteilung 502 oils as they are for model making and dry to a mat finish.

That’s a nice way to do figures, plenty of depth for the scale IMO which is what makes them pop.
