You have to switch the bios from windows to android to make linux work I have another video on my channel about this machine. I did this a couple years ago for a friend but Fedora did work but I would try a fedor spin like XFCE. But read through the comments of this video and the other video because a bunch of people have made other distros work after I told them about switch the OS option in the bios. @@joesalyers Need to thank you again. Finally knuckled down and figured out my chain issues and why mine sounded like garbage. Still too hot. Used your example and loaded all the amps up with the effects I use and worked gain until I had no noise but was getting the sound I wanted. It's beefy loud yet quiet. Amazingly clean and clear. Been playing out since 1990 and never got into gain staging...that was always our sound guy's side. Now I know I could have sounded better all this time :( Ah well...live and learn. Also I'll be honest I have used almost ever iPad/Computer guitar app out there and I really only use Amplitube to be completly honest. I have used Amplitube for about 10 years now as my only live guitar rig for live shows. I own several amps and the only emulations that sound like the My Mesa, Dual Rec, Jet City, and AC 30 are from Amplitube. All of the other apps are ok, but don't have the realism that Amplitube has in my opinion. So you might want to try Amplitube out and see if that is more of the feel you want from a amp sim. You need an audio interface and some way to hear the audio from that audio interface like headphones or studio monitors. Also depending on if your iPad is a lighting or USB-C iPad, if its lighting you will need the Apple Adapter to use the audio interface. Cheers!

@@joesalyers i have a Scarlett plugged into usb c on ipad pro, theres no videos explaining it simply for a dummy like me, i am not hearing the amp sounds only the dull guitar with no processing on it,

@@closedforbusiness4249 On the channel strip you are trying to record at the top o the channel strip it should have the same input as you guitar mine was Input 1, at the bottom of the channel strip tap R is for record the I is so you can hear the channel when not recording (practicing a take). No, AU, VST & VST3 have to go into the folder on the Mac Drive but a little trick you can do is get rid of the plugins for DAWs you don't use like Pro Tools uses AAX plugins you can go and delete your Avid Plugin folder and clean up a TON of space on your drive. Buy an external drive to put files like song sessions on. What DAW do you use? Because Logic only uses Audio Units so you wouldn't need VST3 and AAX and it might save you 50 gigabytes by getting rid of the plugins your DAW doesn't use. But no you can't put plugins on external drives.

No the MDWEQ-5 does not have 3x oversampling when working at 88.2 or higher since there is no anti-aliasing filter to denote oversampling. The manual even states Also, when working at 44.1 & 48kHz sampling rates, the MDW EQ upsamples to 88.2 & 96kHz respectively but no oversampling occurs at sampling rates higher than 48kHz. Why would you just lie and say it has a 3x oversampling. Did you make that number up? The MDW-EQ 5 only uses a 2 times oversampling at the lowest sampling rates 44.1/48kHz and doesn't oversample at any other sampling rate. Not on the UAD platform or HDX. I clearly show this session is at 96K and no oversampling is occurring at 96K that is why it cramps since it is using a IIR filter type and not the new Fir filters that do not cramp.

I would like to have the confirmation because I did so many tests and I'm tired of searching, what is the best sample rate / audio format, AAC or WAV ? You said we should upload WAV but youtube recommend AAC 48Khz

@@Kevins54 wav is lossless and AAC is lossy so Wav is always better. I personally use 24 bit 48K Wav files for CZcams upload. Because CZcams is going to convert it to a lossy opus audio codec so you should keep the audio lossless all the way to the YT upload. AAC & Mp3 are lossy (so not great) WAV, AIFF, and ALAC are lossless and the best option. If you use OBS for your screen captures or streams you can choose wav in the audio options. Cheers!!

It's digital so it is only writing data, but you can splice and cut it like analog tape. It was a good machine for its time. Cheers!!!

You can adjust almost anything just like a apple trackpad but better. But remember if you get one of these monitors you need to make sure to come back to this video and follow the instructions on where get the driver from the website I showed on the screen. That way it will get you up an running, also if you have any issues you can comment here and I can help. Others you can find in the comments did not follow the instructions and then got mad at me because they ignored a vital important details. After telling them how to get it working correctly everyone that has bought it in the comments loves this monitor. I'm now on a M3 Max Macbook pro and it still works great in my studio! Cheers!

CCA PLA13 is a great IEM under $100. But if you want to buy something very inexpensive under $50 look at the CCZ iems on Amazon I have tried them all and they are great with no issues. But everybody likes different things if you like brighter IEMs get something with balanced armatures, but if you want something darker look for IEMs with only dynamic drivers.

I'll check them out, thanks! I'm not sure exactly what my ideal voicing would be. Probably a little more bright than dark, but nothing extreme. My guess is something in a balanced direction.

@@adamalper804 I would try the CCA PLA13 first and from there you'll know since it is pretty well balanced for live music! It has enough thump to hear the kick and snare to stay in time and guitars sound clear. All IEMs make guitars sound a little thin but that is just because we are so use to hearing loud amps in a room so small IEMs just don't have the same effect as open ears do. If you look around on Amazon you can find them for around $78 that with a $10 discount coupon which is really good for the price! Cheers!
