Well in tennis you’re trying to put down spin to keep it in the court and in golf with a driver like Rory you’re trying to give it as little back spin as possible for distance while hitting up so, no in reality they’re not the same very different but look similar

I would do an analysis of his irons through the "for fun" club challenges on CZcams. The upright lie is so much more than anyone of us can get so it would be nice to see the analysis of him using a normal 7 iron

Couldn't be more true I struggled with this for years with to much hip sway on the backswing and not staying more centred/loading and now I'm doing that they just fire without even trying on the downswing

Anything you swing underhand is going to look similar, its the way your front arm rotates in the socket. Throwing a baseball overhand is an unatural movement for the shoulder and is prone to injury.

I actually tried to do brysons swing on the range, probably a poor man’s Bryson swing, but I did the straight up and down, and the ball flight was actually crazy good, higher and straighter.

This obsession with driving it 300 or more is bonkers. They both would have been better off hitting 3 woods and taking an easy 8 or 9 into the green.
