What is THE MOST Prized Posession in Your EDC? | Carried Away Podcast EP 04
Carried the iridium for about a year and it performed well for d2 steel. I think they got the heat treat down well
That is call mother pearl dial.
I keep a set in my wallet. I use them several times a week
Given that the GS model was a *_very limited edition,_* the chances for any of us (It's my grail watch BTW) to ever own one are small. We would be waiting for that cycle you spoke of to take hold on one someone who owns one to actually put it up for sale on the second hand market and then those of us who are hawkishly watching said market will fall upon it with great enthusiasm. My collection is up to 17 watches. The top priced one is a Seiko Presage Araigaki at slightly less than $1K. It is beautiful and keeps nearly perfect time: +1-3 seconds/day. The rest are in the $500 or less price range. Each has a specific look or feel that "spoke" to me when I saw it. Some are solar (Citizen, Casio, etc.), a few are quartz, but the majority are mechanical. There are dress watches, pilot/field watches, a GMT, and a few GADAs. Of the lot, the best timekeepers are the quartz field and solar watches. They are spot on day after day. It is the mechanical ones that are +15-20/day OR -5-10/day. If I ever get that GS, I would consider my questing to be done/complete. And I can promise you I would never let it go. ;-)
A quartz watch eventually needs a battery to run on the other hand automatic watches are man made Marvel the gears are made as such it mimics the 24 hrs in a day almost correctly and is run by basic hand movements, your whole argument is not for a watch enthusiasts.
More durable too. Ever drop a mechanical on a hard surface? Almost guaranteed to break the movement
1 dólar a mais no visor e o preço sobe assim. Piada
What a sponsor video
I have it and love it
This man just flashed an Amex platinum card like we wouldnât notice
I don't wear an automatic watch to tell time, I'll use my phone for that. I wear an automatic watch for the joy of it, like how I drive manual transmission
If you simply wanted a device with you all the time that told you the time, wouldn't your smart phone be enough. Automatic watches are more about the sentiments that you eill hold to something that you might even be able to pass onto future generations. Quartz is simply too easy to replace outright at a very low price so it's become disposable no matter how well they perform.
Yeah man, I've got nice Automatic watches, but the ones I wear daily are Quartz. I've got reasons to wear them: 1) I won't regret it if they get stolen/lost 2) Don't have to adjust the time every other day 3)They don't look bad either. 4) To adjust my Automatic watches I have to use my Quartz watch, because the time is always right on my Quartz watches.
Already sold out lol
Those days dont exist bro. Because i omly carry when no ones watching lol
Lost mine. I liked it though
36mm is no good. 38-40mm is best.
DO NOT BUY THE TOP LIMER LOCK VERSION!!
I just want the blade and throw it in a compact.
I just got the Olight Arkfeld Pro. I consider that light the best EDC light right now. đź
If I want perfect time i just use smartphone.....
Much as I love my wallet and case and pen, wouldn't go for the ring or watch. At those prices can get better things from better brands.
đđŒđđŒđđŒđđŒđđŒđđŒ
Flashlight and lighter.
Close but no. The kershaw Bel Air, however, is better than the bugout in every way đ„°
275 sheesh I could a lot knives for that
Thatâs the pioneer x not farmer c
It is the farmer x. It has a saw and scissors.
F@#k off with your limited edition and finally make a clip
Yes this knife is fantastic and super lightweight but wish they would of added a spacer at the end of handle but worth every penny!
My favorite colorway is pink đ.As a heterosexual he/him male how can you not love pink. đ? The last thing you want to see when you open it up is OD green or blue. Pink just gets me super excited
I got an automatic because i thought, "what if theres emp, obviously i need to be able to tell the time".
Love it! Thanks for sharing.
Wow how do you carry that key chain?
I use the watches that I love, that give me joy. Many are automatics. And many times when I wear them I don't even put them to the current time. If I need to know the time I ask somebody. đ
I never understood why people buy expensive automatic or mechanic watches Quartz is less expensive, robust, thinner and tells time accurately. Just because something is expensive doesn't mean it's not crap. Why pay $6000 for a Rolex to not tell the time accurately, when you can pay $5500 for a car and $500 for a quartz that will last a lifetimeđ
Kershaw bel air would have been a better comparison.
Not feeling that pattern on the main blade đ€ź
mechanical watch or automatic are all about CLASS.
TĂŽi muá»n mua 1 chiáșżc Äá»ng há» nhÆ° trĂȘn
I can't wait for triangle flashlights!đ
Bench made is becoming overly priced and an overly hyped brand. Iâve had Kershaw blades for a long time. I would also put Spyderco above bench made now.
1. Battery changes are a pain in the butt. 2. Leaving a stale battery in a watch and forgetting about it, can be destructive to the watch. 3. Battery powered quartz watches are not legacy .
And I really like my G Shocks, but consider them disposable. My Tag Heuer Kirium Automatic is there for me whenever I want to wear it.
The dials on all GS are mesmerisingâŠâŠIâm seriously considering getting one, the cherry blossom or snow flake maybe. â€
kay, Iâve always scratched my head about the obsession around the kislux book totes and their practicality, but this one is adorable!! Congratulations
That watch is sweet
For that price you can get a smart watch that does a million more things, is nearly indestructible(I've had mine for over two years and not a scratch on it working labor) and it doesn't look like a kid's stocking stuffer. This is all junk.
rectangular's gangsta until battery needs to be replaced
Heretic!
I will only buy from watch makers not some cheap manufacturer
After using automatic and mechanical watches, I agree.
People prefer complexity and craftsmanship over quartz which is why people prefer automatics but regardless my Seiko quartz never let me down.
