I look at mine from overnight on my Oura ring. There is an average, which is low, but spikes high. Such as an avg of 25, but a max of 65. Which is the more important number?

THe sample rate isn't wahat enables you to determine HRV. It's the accuracy of the measurement between beats, not the sample rate.

I've worn an apple watch for four years. I had a consistent 50-60 hrv for the first year. I had health issues and went on beta blockers. I jumped to 120 and averaged over 90 for two years. Came off beta blockers and immediately had a decrease to 30 average. It's been consistent 30-35 for seven months. And I don't know what to do. Waiting on a cardiologist response. 🎉

This is interesting info about the hrv intolerance connection. I've been tracking my hrv with a ring for a while now. My readings were often in the upper normal medium stress range. Sometimes spiking high and very rarely reading low. This past week, I cut all dairy except ghee from my diet and noticed hrv stress reading have become very good. I added back sprints workouts recently as well, which are also very good for health, and figured that might help hrv. However, it seems to be sustained, I need to add back dairy to see if it effects my readings. Thanks for the information
I just got a Fitbit charge 5 recently which used a rmssd system to measure HRV. My average After about a week of use is at 30 which is super concerning for me. I’m a 19 year old male and not currently under very much stress at all seeing as how it’s summer break for me at Uni. Im generally fit and hit cardio most days so I have no clue why my HRV is so low, super concerned about these figures right now…

28 June SW England OOPS my sleeve is arriving today UK after much difficulty getting it forwarded from my Idaho sister. Downing Loading App to my SamSung Ultra 20= ERROR message google play store app was made for only an older version of android!!! I have an earlier android that will be very inconvenient to be able to utilize my sleeve? Original enquiries emailing requesting as offered a custom sleeve for my small arm receiving no reply I eventually just ordered. what ever is about to arrived today to the UK via FEDX sent from my sister. Old android acct set up FYI the personal info reset with only partial data I had entered correctly leaving blank several fields, not a big deal. I look forward to this system being all I expect after selecting it from a fast growning field. I already have the HeartMath* biofeedback- wired device linked to the SS 20. Please let me know If I have trouble with what ever is arriving today to the UK has to be used on an Ancient SS note 8 just how will I get satisfaction? I have a Fitbit and I'm usually around 30. It's quite low and it concerns me but I am getting healthier and have already lost 50 pounds this year. I am hoping my healthy diet, exercise and active lifestyle will help increase that number.
That’s awesome, congratulations! My guess is that you will see results visually and on the scale first and physiological response from your body will follow suit eventually. That’s a big weight loss and internally your body is still adjusting to this new lifestyle

I don’t understand something My watch says my HRV is low mostly just below 50 But I found readings around 125 as well sometimes, but rarely off course. My watch checks my HRV once a day or twice randomly So I don’t know how much I should trust this result I am not overweighted and quite fit It is just strange If my HRV can be above hundred sometimes even 150 can I assume that is the normal?
It's difficult to say without knowing what product you are using and what their HRV scale looks like. Most products are different in the way they score HRV
@@Komodotec how can it be different when it's a mathematical calculation? the only thing that will affect the readings is how accurate it can measure your heart rate.

That's wrong, Fitbit actually use electrodes for the ECG
I completed several ultramarathons with a Fitbit. The daily calorie burn always stopped at 7119. I also never received a badge for the 130,000 steps in a day. Oh yeah, there were also large blocks of time where data was missing, on these high performance days. I don't know why the device is not capable of handling higher performance levels. I am only 65, and still improving my performance levels. I keep hoping one day I can get a free one from a company trying to promote senior fitness. Guess I have to keep working harder.

Your video is completely inaccurate. Fitbit uses 2 electrode sensors, one under the watch and 2 on the sides. The electrical signal runs from one hand through to the other hand, ultimately measuring the voltage potential of the heart as it travels. You are misinformed buddy, should learn medical videos on how an ecg works before posting misinformation.
