Joe won that 💩!
Bravooo olé
Also back then tat money was breaking down words also....sorry for the spelling
King kut .. scratching si nice gota here it twice...king kut ..and he.s good to go ...scratching to the best in stereo..DJ Cheese dont let the record get soft scratch to the best ...go off..go off...so check out the madter as he cuts these jams.....Word...his style caught my ear...him and dj too tuff and cash money...i was on that slow break it down while everybody was tryna scratch fast....esrly version of dj premo....and then everybody was like ..yo i like that slow cuts yu be on....my man Dj Cheese
My word, first time I've seen that Joe Cooley, that is just incredible talent. What a DJ battle between the two.
I love Cash Money....but Joe Cooley won that shit
This was a hard one to call for sure. Both were in top form, but the Kraftwerk cut up was a bit more original than CM who just used that same Run DMC break which is probably the most overused DJ break besides maybe ''Rock the Bells". Also Joe murders the Hashim track around 7:30. Watching this as an old man I recall how it absolutely blew my mind as a young kid and it still does. I tried to do some newer school DJs though and they honestly don't seem as good. 87-01 seemed to be when it was all just mind blowing. Not hatjng, some of the newer guys are on it and I get it that it can't be the late 80s forever but the sync buttons just don't do it for me
Pesado 🎧 🇧🇷
I wonder, when did the late, great Roc Raida and the X-Men get their first big break?😁
Vin Roc was horriblre. I'M SORRY!
The first one sucked. Sorry.
The first time I saw this set was today I gave it to Joe!
Nice! Any feedback on that? Joe is one of my all time favorite DJs and this video cements why.
band members of 'Europe' next to him setting the other decks up :D aaaah the 80's....
lol its the final countdown!
What skills. It's kind of crazy that he was part of the team that made ambient house classic Sueno Latino in the same year that he was scratching at the DMC championships.
whatever happened to him? its like he just disappeared
This performance was actually a tribute to the late, great DJ Trip from 1991. These two did an outstanding performance in his honor. 1992 for DMC Technics was considered the silliest and wackiest year for the DJ competition for its use for teams, and crazy turntable tricks. The Philippines DJ's aren't the only ones that should make the fans laugh for this year in DMC.😁
Pos Red should be sponsored by Delicious Vinyl
One of the best scratchers back then.
Also what happened to jimmy smithson's archive? I tried searching for his account but to no avail.
Melo-D is a hella dope DJ.
O bicho é brabo!
🔥🔥🔥
So true battle mode was the thing ! back in the day and never leaves you no matter what !
This was cool n today 2024 it look good n sound cool DJ melody using vestax turntable equipment a legend 🔥🔥🔥🔥👍😎
Boooooooo
Zappalà passato presente e futuro un artista unico n 1 al mondo ❤
🎶🎶🎶🎶
Goodvibes
So many future routines have been stolen from Steve. All the well known DJ's today (you know who you are), are still incorporating his tricks in the their routines.
Loved the “Fry Guys” (Babs/Melo). This battle was tough. Could’ve gone either way. Melo is so technically talented. Babs had musicality. Regardless, it was a huge Beat Junkie showing in that battle 🙂🤙🏽
People forget how Melo D rocked doubles. ❤
🔥he still get busy til this day on twitch.
Amazing.

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Rodney all the way 👍🎹📀
There is no way I would wanna call this....but I think Joe was slightly better....I'm a massive cash money fan as well...but in the world's he killed it! Defiantly a league above any other dj that year.
Fire straight fire
C'est DJ Pone pas Bone
still sounds amazing this mix, cheese was streets ahead of any dj back in the day.
Now this what a DJ is. No push buttons. just skills on the 1s & 2s. Im so proud to have grown up in these times. Much respect
This ws my all-time favorite DJ set of the first DJ video that I ever bought in my life! I love all the different juggles in this mix! But the best part of this set was the end-with that tone record. Another fine gem, Mr. Shum !😁
Awrsome mix
That hardcastle routine is lit 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🙅🏽♂️
it really is
When was the first Vestax DJ competition, Mr. Shum? So cool that you've found a never seen before gem here on CZcams.😁
first one was 94 but it was only japan plus one filipino team
@@MichaelShum I think I remember seeing a clip of that back in the year 2000. I am familiar with the Japanese competition. That was a long time ago since I've seen clips of it online. That was during the time when I first started collecting DMC Techincs DJ videos from a store called Beat Street in Downtown Brooklyn. Sweet memories, indeed.😁
