I will say that Casio watches are making a HUGE comeback. I think it even surprised Casio! Furthermore, I used to wear more expensive watches and then a "Smart" watch. I finally had enough of those stupid smartwatches. From you having to charge them every night to the absolute overload of data that was totally useless I didn't need nor cared about. I've been back to the Casio line for the past 3 years and love them. My daily driver is the good old Casio AE1200WH. It's featherlight and does what I need it to do, TELL TIME!

A great module on this one! I have two Casios with this module and I might consider buying this one, because the steel “paint” on the steel Bracelet B640 is (albeit ever so slightly) beginning to wear off. Having this as your first metal bracelet watch as a hairy armed person is as having a 40 year old Fiat as your first car 😄 It's truly horrible compared to a real, non folded, tighter bracelet :p I do love the watch face though.

What do those numbers on the dial over the map indicate?

I’ve heard of many military members wearing this through their tours in war and it held up just fine. A lot of Ukraine military members are currently wearing this watch right now in their war with Russia

I have heard that the plastic lugs are a concern - that they are fragile. Is this a concern?

LOVE the big display. LOVE the functions it has, and it beats any $50K luxury watch in its utility and ruggedness. I HAD it on the shopping list, but I HATE the proprietary strap, that cannot be replaced with something else. WHY does Casio keep making watches, that too often turn into tosser after their plastic straps break, which either cannot be replaced, or only with a custom Casio or 3rd party replica strap.

My father bought me a watch like that in 2012. It turned off in 2021 which means it could be built on 2011. The strap was replaced but the analog watch is broken but thw digital is still works.

My wife and two young boys can hear the beeps of the 5610 all the way across the room. I can only hear them if I put the watch close to my ear. I’ve got an F-91W that is my alarm watch. The 5610 is useless to me on alarm and timer. But still a nice looking, feeling and budget solar tough watch. May try the standard 5600.

ALL Casio-Alarms are basically useless. No matter the model. It won't wake me up even when I'm not drunk. 😅😢 Casio rules anyway! Btw, asking for a friend, where have Casio's melody alarms gone? I remember them being a big thing end of the 80s.
