    So all these yrs later, I now have this totally awesome doghouse and could not be more grateful for it. Why? Bec I don't know when you created the other kind of heater for it but it's brilliant! And not the way you have it displayed here. You have a heater now that sits up high, using the back window-vent to hang from. This gives me great peace of mind! I did not want any cords to tempt any dog, no matter how well-trained. So now that you all have this fabulous heater, this then means NO cords inside the doghouse! I am super happy!! I now tell everyone about it! ~For example - yesterday, got home from work, it was 11F outside. Inside the doghouse = 76F! Whoa! Today, 31F and same 76 inside that doghouse! This makes my heart so happy for my one dog that has to be out back when I go to work. I worry no more about her in the cold temps! *THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH ASL!* This truly is - NOW - THE BEST DOGHOUSE!🥰👍

    I bought one. Three of us had awful time putting together. I can see daylight. Only had set up 18 hours. I removed whole door. I have been tossing all his toys in it so he may start using it. Will sneak treats in. Not to happy with the insulation not solid. My dog is a chewer. It is due to a problem which needs medications to control. He is only 5 months old but don't shame the owner. I bred and trained dogs 26 years and have titles, ribbons and trophies. Would I buy this dog house again? Well i figured it might become a safe haven for him and help him be calmer. I never intended to leave him out in the cold. Other companies make similar dog houses. I will look around before i buy another dog house. Used rewards to pay for it.

      Sorry you had hard time. I set it up with no probs all by myself! I adore this house, esp with a different heater they now offer that sits up high, in the back = no cords inside. IMO, the insulation is also awesome as it's clear to me, it holds the heat. Sorry it didn't work out for you, but man, I love it!

    They are claiming the walls are insulated with 4" of thick SOLID insulation One of the plugs had fallen out and the insulation is really tiny little balls . I opened one of the plugs on the walls and again tiny balls but nowhere near the top. I . When I open the box from shipping there were 1000's of tiny Styrofoam all over. This is false advertising by ASL Solutions and I have a call into them.

      @anthonyviviani9241 Whatever they use, it works. I have this doghouse, with the floor pad and a different heater they offer. This heater sits up high, in the back, no cords inside. It was 11F yesterday when I got home from work. Checked doghouse when I went to let her in, and the temp showed 76 in there! The gap bet where the swinging door is and the door jam is minimal. With the window-vents covered and all else I mentioned - heck yes, it holds the heat fabulously well! I'm thrilled with this doghouse myself.

    I bought this doghouse recently bec the igloo type that I had is worthless in winter to keep a dog warm. This house is awesome! I have a Jack Russell terrier mix rescue girl and when I go to work, she needs be in back yard bec she and my Rottie female fight upon occasion so that's not good. My German Shepherd and Rottie have the run of the house and front yard (doggie door) and the JR is out back. (I have chain link fencing all around w/the smaller back yard being its' own space.) ~So this doghouse... I can see why it gets rave reviews all over the place! 'Super easy to assemble, all by myself. I removed the lower half of the door and left it that way for a few weeks. I got her to go in and out and after being a tad tentative, she did it on her own. Then, as fall approaches, the nights are now very cool and I work second shift. So I put the lower half back on and she is going in and out of it w/ease, thank goodness! I purchased the house w/the lovely fleece bed from Tractor Supply and I could not be happier! Even as is, it will def be MUCH warmer than that igloo type plus she gets a lot more room. ~~I am now investigating your heater which I may also purchase before winter comes. As it is, I have coats for her - she has one lighter one which is both rain and windproof, then a thicker, warmer one as well. During winter, she will have her two coats on and this provides both wind, rain and snow protection but also locks warmth into her body. When I get home from work, get her in and remove her coat or coats, I can feel the heat on the inside of her jacket and it gives me peace of mind. But ya, your heater might just be the very thing! ~~So my dog thanks you and I thank you for a quality product that both I and my dog can feel great about! Worth every penny to me!!

  • @Justcuz99

    I just got the grey one that came with the wall mounted heater. There's not a hole in the bottom of the back wall where you run the wire through. It's currently reaching 100 degrees where I'm at so I haven't messed with the heater yet. I'm assuming that it will mount to the back window area and the cord runs through the window. That's what it looks like from the Chewy pictures. Oh, I have a German Short Hair Pointer which is 5 years old and a 5 month old Weimaraner. I got this huge thing so that they could both fit in it during the winter. They both literally went into it as soon as I got it put together. I didn't have to take the bottom part of the door off. I think because they was out with me when I was putting it together they weren't skittish of the finished product. It was really easy to put together too. Other than being bulky. I'm 6'1 so wasn't to much of an issue. The whole thing goes up in like 5 minutes. Then another few minutes to screw in the 12 screws that were included. They didn't include a screwdriver but I have a cordless drill that I used. Only thing is the dang price. I just don't know why this thing is so expensive... With a new puppy and really cold winters I had to spend it though. A Weimaraner pup will destroy your house if you leave them there alone. And ours will literally bark non stop all day in a kennel.

    • @Justcuz99
      @Justcuz99 Před 2 lety

      @@tomomasta3254 so far so good. I just installed the heater about a week ago. It's just now getting down to 35-45 at night. 60-70s during the day. The dogs are only out for an extended time when we are working during the day. So we haven't really used it much so far. It seems like it's a nice heater. Was really easy to install. There's a switch on the unit itself that you have to turn on to give it power. Then you have to use the remote to actually turn it on and set the temp. So I haven't really had the chance to run it long enough to see if there are any issues.

      @@ballzmckgee3167 No dog ought be chomping cords "all the time" - can you not train the dog to not do so anymore?! That is certainly not anything I would brag about OR take for granted. ~This reminds me of a coworker, yrs ago. He would talk all the time how his dog doesn't need a leash, ever. I liked the guy just fine and I adore dogs. My reply to him was this = no matter how well trained a dog is, this is no guarantee that all will ALWAYS be okay if no leash ever. They are still dogs after all and no way would I do that w/my dogs, way too risky... ~~One day, he was not at work... then the next day too. I asked around and it turned out, his beloved dog had died. When he returned to work, he shared with me the horror story. Sure enough, walking downtown together, his dog bolted into the street, attempting to go greet a bunch of kids on the other side. He never made it, got hit rt in front of his owner. The guy shared w/me that through his shock and grief, he thought of that chat we had not long before. He said he would never, ever do that again in the future. What a horrible loss for them and an awful way to learn a valuable lesson. ~~~I hope you too realize the seriousness of what you shared, the potential for heartache is there too. I sure hope you can train your dog to stop doing such dangerous behavior. Best wishes.
