Hi, my name is John and over many years since 1970 I've used a silent cine camera to film a few airshows and then later used one with sound.
I'm in the process of converting these to Digital and will upload them here over the next few weeks.
They include the first visit of Concorde to Farnborough in 1970, a take off and vertical climb by a Lightning and the Red Arrows in their Folland Gnats taken at various locations.
I will also include the last public display of the Avro Vulcan at Old Warden.
This is my first attempt at creating a CZcams channel, so if you like these please click the 'like' button and add comments if you want, to enable me to improve this channel.

This video taken in the mid 1970s (I can't believe its 50 years ago!!) includes some of the collection aircraft plus the LVG before it was grounded and a Buccaneer, The Vintage Pair of Vampire and Meteor and the Battle of Britain Flight Lancaster Hurricane and Spitfire.
Old Warden early 70s Turbulent flipped

This is a short video taken at Shuttleworth Old Warden. The collections Bristol Fighter, Sopwith Pup and Avro 504 are included. Also a visiting aircraft, a Turbulent flipped over while taxying in the long grass, it was righted by many hands!
Heathrow early 70s

I visited Heathrow a few times in the 70s and this a compendium of those visits. This was a time of the Jumbo jets of Pan Am, TWA, Air India and BOAC. Concorde G BSST Farnborough 9:70

Concorde 002 G-BSST flypasts at Farnborough after a heavy rainfall providing a dramatic backdrop. This was on the Sunday and it diverted to Heathrow as the weather at Fairford was not suitable for landing. It departed the next day back to Fairford. It was also cold so sorry for the odd shakes.

This short video converted from 8mm cine was taken on the Sunday where the rain clouds provided some dramatic backdrops. Sorry for the shakes but it was a very cold day. Hope it doesn't spoil the spectacle.
