The Prince of Egypt isn't as except as I thought it was. It provided an excellent match of an hand-drawn animated feature to both The Lion King (1994) and Anastasia (1997). No wonder that was a good movie to watch. 👏👍🍿🎬🫅🏜

This movie kinda terrified me when I was a kid because the characters looked like nothing I ever seen in other movies and unsettling...... When I see this as a teen it just feels refreshing and quite relatable. Hope I can see this movie again.

Watched this movie on a few hits of acid and after it was done I was like “did I just watch fear and loathing”

I think one of the best films to illustrate en.2, especially how the 2 are prideful and how 2 under stress goes to 8 is "Dogville" (2003), by Lars von Trier. Actually Trier's filmography is all about 2s - "Dancer in the dark" is about how 2 goes to 4 and so on.

The opening line of the VeggieTales theme song sounds like a sarcastic retort telling you NOT to watch the show.

One of the only Christian movies I love is "Church people" It's funny, has an interesting story, and a good message. I really recommend it.

One does not die for “pride” in Christianity, the martyrs didn’t die for “pride”, the reason rodriguez didnt give up his faith until the end is because, as you said, ends do not justify the means, saving someone’s life does not justify sinning. The suffering of the christians was not on rodriguez’s shoulders, and it wasn’t a consequence of his pride. the blood of the christians martyred is not on rodriguez’s hands, but on the Japanese. The value of our soul is much greater than the value of our earthly life, if rodriguez didn’t apostasize and the hanging christians also hadnt apostasized they would have gone to heaven. Rodriguez saved those christians lives, but of what worth are those lives if they are far from god? they can live a pleasant life but if they remain far from Jesus eternal hell awaits, as our Lord says on the sermon of the mount: “what good is it to gain the entire world if you lose your soul?”
