Looks like you’re doing great. I find the more you work out, the more you will need to eat, hence the gain in weight…at least until your metabolism kicks in high gear.
SOO mcuh detailed video great man get successful
Thanks so much for the positive feedback.
The Mafia games are great albeit a bit janky. That's either a positive or negative dependant on your taste. I love slightly janky games so these are a great fit for me :-) Keep up the awesome work!
Haha I guess it depends on where the jank manifests. But I have heard enough positive things to think they are at least worth a go. Thanks for the feedback!
I played Mafia 1 on PC when it came out. It was fine. Mafia 2 was pretty great. Short for an open world game, but really fun and worth it. 3 is good, however I never finished it, probably won’t at this point. It shipped full of bugs, that’s probably fixed now.
Thanks Keith, I probably won’t get round to them for a while but didn’t want to pass up the box set.
will it be available offline on iphone 15 pro??
So a lot of the functionality is supposed to work offline, it’s all on device. They weren’t clear on what kind of functionality may need the cloud computing.
It is a need for me when my women demands my presence whilst she is watching garbage tv shows 👍🏼
I love the omega collection on PS4, on my PS5, wish they would make a new one 👍🏼 Keep going man you are scratching a nostalgic itch I forgot about 😂
I agree! I would love a next gen Wipeout.
So how can you play any games if you have to have the disk in the game if you are away from home from you ps5?
You can’t, the portal best compliments a digital game collection really, however I don’t use mine away from home, it’s used more as an alternative screen for playing around my house. It’s a drawback if you like a physical collection. My personal collection is a bit of a hybrid with my more casual pick up and play being digital and the meatier story driven games being on disc.
@@jaygrice oh ok,, thanks for that 🙌🏾
Great video as always! If your can stomach it, playing the Wipeout Omega Collection in PSVR is another level of adrenaline fuelled mayhem. Keep up the awesome work!
Have you tried it?? I am tempted but have found myself struggling with some VR experiences recently. Thanks for commenting.
@@jaygrice Yes, I used to play it quite a lot in VR but you've got to find the comfort settings that suit you best :-)
No need for it. If you already own a PS5 you’re better off just carrying your controller with you and using remote play on a tablet or laptop. The whole idea is to play away from the console which remote play already does, this just seems like a step backwards.
Performance wise i have found the portal to be more reliable than the phone and tablet apps, but its not by much and probably doesn’t justify the cost.
I’ve only played the PS1 demo back in the day, can’t say I enjoyed it coming off the heels of N64’s amazing racing games like San Francisco Rush 2049 and World Driver Championship. And with Gran Turismo on my mind, I never gave Wipeout a thought. Beetle Adventure racing on the N64 is worth a go, a sleeper for sure.
You should pick up Wipeout Omega and dive in to a more polished and refined version. Wipeout is genuinely a great series and the music etc is worth it alone. I have never played Beetle Adventure racing or San Francisco Rush. Although I hear a lot of US CZcamsrs talk about the latter.
I remember the first Wipeout quite well. It was one of the first games to have terrible “pop up” Then developers started to get a bit more from the hardware or design courses that got round the pop up issue. Although even today on modern consoles pop up is still a thing !
Amazing game!
It’s a classic!
I don’t think Apple has done anything completely groundbreaking since the iPad. As an Apple loyalist, I’m fine with that. Something will come that we haven’t thought of yet.
I got to try an Apple Vision Pro the other day for the first time. It was brief but impressive. I think what they have done there is definitely ahead of the competition. Albeit far from perfect.
Nope. I cancelled my ps+ premium after this launched because there’s actually no point to it. Go grab a steamdeck instead
Liked this video. I like your chill vibe.
Thank you for the feedback. Really appreciate it.
Ya know, MGS is probably the only huge series I played through all the mainline entries to completion. I can’t even say that about Zelda.
I have been through them all except 5. Which remains a huge embarrassment for a self proclaimed fan. I will get to it.
Very cool :-)
Old me wouldn’t keep figures boxes but something this old I thought it was best kept that way.
Well meta ain’t gonna be the ones that make it happen lol
I wonder if Apple through the Vision Pro may play a bigger part in this. As the devices come in more variants and price ranges in the future. The Quest 3 is a competent headset but the software strategy seems all over the place.
Man. I played through this game so many times. I remember how sweaty my hands were by the time I got to machine gun Willy for the first time.
The NES controllers were not that comfy in hand either so I imagine a few sores along the way.
Nice video. I never played this game. As a kid, my brother and I had Double Dragon II and played the heck out of it. I don't think we ever beat it back in the 80's/90's. Had to use a game genie (or cheat codes...I forget) to skip to the last level and beat it as an adult. FWIW, TMNT III The Manhattan Project is probably my favorite beat em ups on the console...have you played that one?
I had a TMNT on the NES but it wasn’t the Manhattan Project. Although one of my favourite games is the TMNT Arcade and Turtles in Time on the SNES. I have the Arcade 1UP TMTN cabinet too.
Love Double Dragon and funny enough I decided to sell my Evercade Technos Collection 1 this weekend, which includes Double Dragon. For some strange reason this cart can fetch up to £90 and I was happy to accept £63 trade in at CEX. There's already plenty of other places to play the NES version including the brilliant Double Dragon & Kunio-Kun Retro Brawler Bundle. Great video and keep up the awesome work!
Thanks for watching and commenting! How strange that you sold that bundle the same weekend that I covered one of the games.
Not a huge fan of the funco stuff, but cool nonetheless. If you haven’t already, watch, and watch closely, for Goldblum’s cameo in Asteroid City.
I am not a Funko fan either but I just thought this was a bit special so I let it into the collection.
I dont watch Jurassic park
It’s one of my favourite films.
@@jaygrice cool
Glad I found your channel! Good stuff! Just subscribed.
Thanks for the sub! Much appreciated.
Here’s the thing. I look at the PlayStation Portal and I see two things. I see number one that people are hating on it because they aren’t seeing what it was truly made for. It’s not a portable console it is a remote play device and everyone is underwhelmed by it doing what it was designed for. But then number two is that it doesn’t even do what it was designed for too great. There’s a lot needed for this to truly feel incredible. First is the internet connection. It should use WiFi 6 opposed to 5 and I don’t know what needed to be done but it should be able to handle internet connection way better considering it’s literally based around it. Then there is the basics with the performance. This thing should have a 1440p OLED display. Now here’s the thing the 1080p display is not really bad at all it’s the LCD part that gets ya. But also games should better downscale from 4k to that 1080p or 1440p or whatever instead of just trying to broadcast something it can’t because that just makes it blurry. Maybe you could decrease the bezel around the screen a little bit which would also increase the screen size without sacrificing space. Making it 8.25 inches so just a quarter inch more which could be nice often! As for frames I don’t know I feel like 60 fps is pretty good and I wouldn’t expect higher than like maybe 90 until we would get a model of the portal with the PS6(although I don’t think we will ever get a perfected model because of how poorly this was perceived). I also think the system should accept Bluetooth. It’s so stupid it doesn’t! Okay but then there is the navigation menu. I think it would’ve done better to have a genuine nice menu to scroll through to make this thing feel more complete. And my idea is that for application options there were of course things like internet as a base one, Bluetooth, and then of course like something such as a cog wheel to take you into the deep settings. But what if there was a Portal as an application/tab. So this portal is clicked on and then a sweet cinematic is played going through like a loophole and then you end up on your PS5 screen. This way they could set it to where you can have multiple PS5s linked to your Portal, each having their own set ‘portal’. This would be so cool! You could also name each console so you know which portal is which and color customize each portal! And on the other end of things in the PS5 menu there is a portal to go back to the PS portal menu! And if the console is in rest mode the portal is turned off and it’s just a frame but you can click on the frame to turn on the system and the portal effectively. And if the system is all the way off the portal would be like red or something. Just leaning into the theming of portals would be so cool and they could sneak in some Easter eggs and stuff too! So that’s all the main stuff I think should be done for the portal. With this stuff alone looking at the technological improvements I find this fair if it retailed for $250 and I think the customer satisfaction rate would be way higher as this would feel like a real product. But then there are ways they could take it a step further. Firstly is a built in Web Browser. This wouldn’t let you download anything but still would open things up a lot. And if it was like PlayStation official and not just like google that would be so cool! But the best reason for this is you can link to free networks where you have to agree to terms and conditions! This would be pretty great! The next thing is having a Portal Exclusive game. Like one of the portals has astro-bot sticking out from it and you can enter this tiny little 2 hour game exclusive to the portal. Or even just like an Easter egg mini-game. Something would be cool for when you can’t link at the time and you don’t want the system to be useless. And other thing is to make it so the thing works like a Wii U game pad and there is a game where it’s involved. I think for this they could just do an update on Astro’s Playroom adding an extra four level world(so like an hour to beat)with the Portal as a game pad and it like detects stuff and you draw on it and stuff. There is so much that could be done for this thing without seeming unreasonable and it’s just sad how bad Sony fumbled because this could be a new big thing, working in line with Portables, Home Consoles, and Portals all being in the market at the same time. Who knows? Maybe it still can be… only time will tell. I don’t even care for it too much but if they doubled down on the theme of opening portals it would be so sick!
Great ideas and a comprehensive comment. I agree with a lot of what you have said. As it is though I like the simplicity and it works. But it could have been so much more and that feels like a missed opportunity. I worry it won’t receive much support as a concept, if it’s treated anything like the psvr2 then the future is not bright…
Mario Paint’s music creation suite is nice. Great pickups!
I was genuinely taken back by the condition of the accessories and the game, like new. Strong memories of Mario Paint.
The PS3 Sharpshooter was great for Killzone 3 but strangely enough I played more of Greg Hastings Paintball 2 with it back in the day. I still have the Sharpshooter kicking about somewhere and should really dig it out and fire up some games :-) Great pickups video and look forward to the next one.
This is why I love CZcams! I have never heard of Greg Hastings Paintball but now I need to check it out!
I always thought this had something to do with Power Rangers.
I always thought Deimos looked like Lord Z. Perhaps that was his appeal to me growing up.
nice channel. Like the vibe.
Thanks, really appreciate it.
I remember playing this all the time at my husband's house when we were in middle school. This game prepared me for my obsession with the Soul series later on. Such a fun game, thanks for reviewing it. Not enough people remember it, I feel.
Thanks for sharing, really interesting that this led you to the Souks series. I can see the connection.
My friend and I still quote something from the time we we rented it from blockbuster. The line goes "don't eat chicken! If you do! Eat it with a spoon!" Now we MAY have misheard the character that said it buuuuuuttt I don't think so. We still say it 20 some years later so it had to be what they said
Haha. Love that. I hope that was the line but like you said, even if it wasn’t it has become that now. Thanks for commenting.

The joys of old school games and sharing them with your mates. (I know that can still Be done with discs but I imagine it happens less these days with digital)
As a kid i used to hang out in arcades which also had consoles hooked to tv's which could be rented for an hour or more. Played this game a few times and remember enjoying it quite a bit. Thanks for bringing me back to that. Subscribed.
Thanks for sharing the memory and for the sub!
Yes
Short and sweet. Love it.
I remember when I was a 12-year-old circa 1999, there was an Asian grocery store in my town that had an arcade cabinet of this game, along with another cabinet of an SNK Neo Geo shoot 'em up game (can't remember which one) that me and brother would play while my parents were shopping.
I never played the arcade version but I wish I had, simply to compare the two. Thank for sharing that memory.
@jaygrice Of course. And I liked this video, so I subscribed for more content like this from you in the future.
I remember renting this when i was a kid, it was a lot of fun! I liked it better than Dark Rift, mostly because it had finishing moves. The hellknight was my favorite, a giant skeleton drags you to hell!
Hellknight is a cool character, I most often went for Lord Deimos but the whole roster was such an interesting mix. Thanks for sharing your memories.
Would love a remastered or have this on switch online.
Feels like they should be able to put this on the online collection but a remaster would be great to address the frame rate issues.
Oh the brings back memories. Of playing this in NWO vs WCW until our fingers hurt.
Some of the best wrestling games were on the N64! Classics.
@@jaygrice ya I agree. I am going to break out my N64 to see about unlocking the hidden characters. I'm not sure if I ever unlocked them.
Right now is the time to invest in ps1 & ps2 while they’re cheap. Might be worth it to look into bolstering up on 360/ps3 games.
I have definitely started picking up Xbox 360 and PS3 titles. PS2 are hit and miss but I find coming across PS1 games really tough. Especially the bigger hitters. Been trying to get Dino Crisis 1 & 2 for a decent price for a while. Condition of cases is also always an issue with PS1.
Great video and I'm surprised I never came across this game back in the day. The games I had in rotation were Killer Instinct Gold on the N64, Soul Blade on the PS1 and even Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 on the Mega Drive. Keep up the awesome work!
Thanks. I so wanted to like Killer Instinct Gold but it just didn’t capture me the way that the SNES original did. I think it was the N64 controller that I struggled with for that type of game. I do own it though and pick it up every so often.
I remember seeing this game in Nintendo Power. Never picked it up. Can you do one on Buck Bumble?
I don’t think I’ve ever heard of Buck Bumble. I will certainly check it out and see if I can pick a copy up.
@@jaygriceget ready for the greatest title theme song ever
I have snagged a copy on eBay and will do a video in the next couple of months. Looking forward to it.
@@jaygrice sweet! Looking forward to it. Yet another title I ended up renting after seeing it in Nintendo power back in the day. I think I was in high school
I’d love to see the look on my wife’s face if I brought that home 🤣. Speaking of MGS, why the heck can’t I restart from scratch in Phantom Pain? Dang it, Konami! I’d love to see your opinion.
It took some careful persuasion but my wife was very good about it. I have to confess that Phantom Pain is in my pile of shame… I started it but at the time my children were very young and I never got through it. I really want to though. I’m excited for the remake of snake eater too! I’m thinking of streaming more regularly soon so perhaps I will embarrass myself online with my lack of stealth skill.
@@jaygrice I've played all of the mainline MGS to completion. Love them all. Phantom Pain is the most fun I have had with any of these games, despite the story somehow being more nonsensical. From a gameplay perspective, it is up there with TotK and BotW, as a pure joy to play. I want to restart it, but there is no way to do that with the way Konami syncs your save data to their servers. Once you start, you can't restart, but you can replay missions, but that just feels off to me. Play it!
Same boat here with my channel. Sincere, heartfelt, honest. I subscribed. Let’s see some retro reviews of some games! There used to be a channel called CGR Undertow that did it really well. Best of luck, looking forward to more.
Thanks for the sub and the feedback! I will check your channel out too.
That’s one hell of a gaming centerpiece! Congrats! You seem to have a background in photography. Have you said which camera you’re using?
Thanks, I waited a long time. Haha. I film most of my content on my Canon M6 mark II or my iPhone 15 Pro Max. I use the phone for more candid stuff and B roll.
@@jaygrice Nice, thanks!
Found your channel through the Consoles and Handhelds group. Great production values all around, and look forward to watching more! Yeah, it was a bold aesthetic choice, and I’d like to say it was polarizing, but probably only among the hardcore set who played lots of the Sega of Japan entries. I bought a copy, enjoyed it, but only played through it once.
Thanks for commenting and interesting to hear where you came across the channel.
@@jaygrice Hey, you’re welcome, man! Great channel, wish there were more like it, but the trend seems to be top 10 lists and gameplay with no commentary. It can be okay, but for me, I either like good insights or good comedy.
