A tree 😂
😂😂
A mountain 😊
That would be so nice... Very much on my wish list... Not in this video, but I do have some grey parts, so perhaps soon 🤩
Hallo ik kom ook Nederland coole stad man
Leuk!! Welk station zou jij voor inspiratie gebruiken? Heb je zelf ook een LEGO stad? :)
I'm really no Lego expert but perhaps you could do some kind of slope to the lower part of the roadplates? I mean no city is all level. Btw, I really like your city layout. I wish I had the space to do the same :)
Also no expert here so let’s find something nice here haha :) because you are right, no city is perfectly flat and some kind of slope would indeed be nice perhaps! When I’ll be connecting the harbor area to the city, I’ll have to look into sloping roads anyway so it’s good to get those sloped roads going :) about space I can say that getting more room for a layout is always on a city builder’s mind I guess 😅😂 but I know from back when I just started, it can also be so much fun and satisfying to have a small city and just begin shuffling a few baseplates with sets and roads around :) do you have anything setup as a city at the moment? Either way, I hope you find your LEGO City space 😁👍
So cool!
Thanks!! Are you building anything at the moment? :)
Thanks for watching! 😊 Some of these shots are a sneak peek of the upcoming video. Can’t wait to share the full video with you soon! 🚆✨
“How cool is this!” Indeed! Great matching background sounds!
Ahh thanks!! :)) focused more on music and sounds this time, glad you noticed and enjoyed it 🎵😊
That does look very cool! I can hear the purists screaming that it’s an illegal build 🤣
Hey GJBricks, thanks! Sometimes you've got to _bend_ the rules a bit for an awesome build 😂🤩 glad you liked it!
Lordy! That's a helluva thing! The Noooooo halfway through!!! 😭😭😭It's that integration of modern with old - I think you nailed that!!!
Hey Matt, thanks you! Really appreciate it. That moment was intense 😅 but I'm happy it came together in the end. Glad you liked the integration as well, thanks for watching!
I watch a ridiculous number of CZcams videos and Lego city updates and this was probably one of the most unique and cool creations I’ve ever seen. So awesome.
Wow, thank you so much for the kind words Kinegos :) really appreciate it, glad you liked it! :)
Nice work!!! It is a fragile technic when you use it like that yes.. Happy to see parts come to great use!!!
Thank you, I appreciate the kind words! It’s definitely fragile (although it can take a small hit, haha), but it’s also so much fun to bend and shape it :)
I noticed this in an earlier video of yours (when you built it), but I noticed at 0:08 that its still there. You’ve got the yellow curtains of the sitcomplex on the outside of the building.
Hey bricktroooper, great catch, thanks!! Those should indeed be on the inside 😅 we’ll get that sorted soon when we add some cool new floors to the SitComplex 🤩
Finally he's back!! 🎉🎉🎉 I LOVE this station! And can't wait for another great video
Hey bombercost, thanks, really appreciate it 😊 glad to be back with this build, can't wait to share more exciting projects here soon 🤩
very nice work that
Nice work! I really hope to build a city one day but I just don't have the space. My single table Aquazone diorama will keep me quite busy in the mean time 😁
Thanks so much! Cities do take up a lot of space… But it’s funny how ‘the grass can be greener’ (or something like that haha). The idea of creating a complete diorama one day and maybe even showing it at a LEGO convention sounds like so much fun 😁😁
If your interested on my rebrickable page (same name) I have a moc/instructions for a dock and retaining wall like “drop down” that would make great addition somewhere along your drop down at water, it’s built on 1 blue baseplate, but design for wall could easily be repeated too if you wanted to make bigger, it’s one of my free ones too, you might like it
That landscaping must have been a pain in the hands 😅
Yep... And knees, and back.... 😅 made a video about it as well in case you haven't seen it yet :) czcams.com/video/__OFBz9LNo8/video.html cheers!
The elevated area is a really smart addition o your city. Because it makes the city look bigger
Thanks! And yea, plus it's so much more room to build stuff. Do you have a city yourself?
Move the parking structure closer to the larger buildings, move the homes to the outskirts , lots of grass. It’s called zoning in the US. LEGO made it difficult with the silly new road plates.
Nice overview! I like your Domtoren art! Enjoy building!!!
Thank you!! And yes cool illustration of the Domtoren, right?! Unfortunately it's not available anymore it seems, but I got it at Studio Legenda. Currently starting the monorail and station moc, happy building to you as well!! Are you working on something at the moment? :)
@@brickcitymatt At the moment I'm building some sets that are in my backlog far to long .... Today I finished Monkey Kid Heavenly realms. Hopefully I have soon time to start building on my MOC for Skaerbaek fan weekend!
@@brickcitymatt there are building instructions for the Domtoren made by someone from DUIC (a Utrecht news website) did you know?
That sounds good! What do you have in mind for your moc for the skaerbaek fan weekend? Heard of the name but I've never been, have you? From what I read on the website, it sounds pretty awesome 🤩
I did know about it but I totally forgot so thank you for the reminder!! That's actually a nice handy doable size with around 28 studs in height :) because even though I would like it if it would tower above the whole city just like the real one, the amount of bricks that would take is just a bit too much 😅 (for now 😁)
Love the lighthouse, still need top build it for the city I would like to build. But I have to much ideas so get distracted a lot ;-)
Getting distracted from LEGO, by LEGO... This is way too recognizable haha 😅😁
Would love to see the way you put together the red station with the monorail station!
Not sure yet how I'm going to do it but I just collected all the bricks so time to get started 😎
Do you have any plans on adding the backs and roofs to buildings that are missing them?
That's definitely on my list of things to do. At legoworld 2023 I saw a cool moc of the Fresh supermarket where it was integrated into a small mall with escalators, I liked that one (it's in my Lego world 2023 video at 6:10). As for the fire station: my long term plan for the city is to bring the older sets into the 'modern Lego era', so that will also get some attention at some point, but for now I chose to just add them as is :) do you also have a LEGO city? :)
@@brickcitymatt Sadly no Lego city at the moment. I have no room for it. Till then I collect lego sets that one day I'll be able to do. I love the old sets. I'd keep them the same just add a back and roof. Love the vintage look of them. Reminds me of my childhood.
@Lea-bw9wj ahh that is too bad, but with the collecting it sounds like you have something very cool to look forward to. Hope you'll get to build your city soon! Any era or theme in particular you're collecting? What set are you looking forward to most to build? I'm currently combining the retro red station and the monorail station, so I get the childhood memories you mentioned, so much fun when there's also some nostalgia :)
@@brickcitymatt I have no theme or anything I mind for when I finally can build a city. I think I just won’t to put everything in it. Eg a bushy area with campers and tree houses, log cabins etc. A section with business. Hopefully can do a few Mocs of my own. I have a couple of ideas. Then a more residential area with a couple of single story shops. Also all the houses. A park, maybe with a carnival visiting, a beach with all sorts of beach stuff. So many ideas. Some things I won’t to use are the old roads. Nothing against the new ones. I just like the old ones. Mostly because I reminds my of when I was a kid. I remember when they first came out. I had a couple. Things I would like but but not overly looking for. But if I see them I’ll jump. Koalas. I’m Aussie. Need I say more. The old shell service station. There were lots of configurations and bits sold separately so whatever I can find. I just hope to find the Shell version. There’s probably more. I see see peoples city’s and think I want that and I want that. It’s nice to dream though
Maybe make a park and try to make some buildings that are in Utrecht? Design your own moc building would be great. Little police station
Ohh I really like that!! Bringing some Utrecht to Brick City would be awesome, all sorts of ideas are coming to mind: the Domtoren, Tivolivredenburg with the recognizable round windows, the main university building, some of those new tall buildings near central station, or perhaps even the canals 😍 ok that last one is a bit more long term for when I upped my Lego skills and number of bricks, but adding a Utrecht inspired building is definitely on my list now. Thank you! 🙌
Hi 😎Maybe a astronomy tower with lights 🤩…good video
Thanks!! The astronomy tower from the bricklink design program is on my wish list, as well as lighting 🤩 not sure yet about which route I'll take for that though, go for kits or perhaps completely diy... I'd also like to add some automation and the ability to control individual lights, and I haven't seen that yet in kits so I think I'll have to go to work myself... 😅😁
I would love to see your moc for a monorail station! Also what is the next set you will Integrate? And last question: are you planning to light up the city? Anyway thanks for the video! I really enjoyed it.
Hey bomber_cost! Thanks for your kind words again, glad you enjoyed the video! The station moc is about to take shape, and as for the next set I'll integrate: I still have the Ghostbusters HQ in my backlog, so chances are that will get a place! Otherwise it might be the A frame cabin that will get a nice spot I think. Lighting is definitely on my wish list, but I'm not sure yet which route / brand / type of lights I'll go for. Some are just too expensive in my opinion, and I'd also like for some automation perhaps as well as controlling individual lights even (haven't seen kits that do that yet). Enough plans and ideas 😅😎
@@brickcitymatt for the lights, avoid light my bricks which is the most expensive. LeLightGo, Lightalling and Game of bricks are the best for quality/price. Also I would add some pieces from AliExpress. Anyway I can't wait to see the Cabin and the HQ!
@bomber_cost thanks, I'll keep that in mind for when I'll start looking into it! Cheers!
That would take some really smooth shots 🔥🤩
It really does, it's a lot of fun 🔥 lego city tour video coming up with some silky smooth shots 🤩
Toffe video weer Matt!
I really enjoyed the last video! Keep it up 🎉
Thanks again, and yes, will definitely do!! 🙌
@@brickcitymatt nice! And thanks for all of your kind replying to me.
Cozy house is also 2x with us. Currently I have the small high version built, but will be soon replaced with the house. In the end I want to make one of the rebricables to make a larger house. Not the one you showed but a different one that looks a bit more like a regular house. We also included the noddle shop which is fun little restuarant which we got stuffed somewhere in a corner. I also snatched up the ice cream truck second hand for a nice addition to the town.
I love how we all have sets others also have but we create our own stories and cities with them :) I'll definitely also be building the tall version of the cozy house, not sure about the cabin though (also have the a frame set). I'll be looking forward to your building experiences on your Instagram with the cozy house moc, compared to the sitcomplex I think I'll like this smaller size a bit better regarding search time for pieces haha
We built the cabin. It ain't great.
Yes, very good Video…City in process 🤗✌️
Thanks, much appreciated!! Can't wait to share more here 😊 thanks for watching!
I love adding details and little stories to the city like you did! Also I MOC-ed (?) a mini modular noodle all by myself. I'll do a creator house MOC in the future, just I don't know how ahahah. The HP set isn't really in my style, but if you want to add it in the city... just create a zone specific for fantasy stuff. I love the shop in the front. The placement is really nice. I would add a spot for an e-sport event with the gaming truck. So... thanks, this is an awesome video as always!
Hey bomber_cost, glad you liked the video and where we placed the supermarket! And cool you MOC-ed the noodle shop yourself, next video I also want to do a moc 'myself' again :) thinking about doing a station, but a spot for (esports) event is also nice, adding that to the list :) cheers!
We never see this Lego world in Taiwan, I am eager to have this show in our country .
That is too bad, but perhaps one day! The more people build with Lego, the more enthousiasts that will bring forward that enjoy bringing their work to shows! We just need to keep spreading the love 🙌❤️
Beautiful and waiting for a new update 🎉
Thanks bomber_cost! Your support means a lot! Currently in the editing process for the next video, where we’ll be injecting some personality into the city 🙌 Stay tuned, aiming to have it finished in the next few days! 😊
@@brickcitymatt I'll wait 🔥
Looking great.🎉
Thanks, appreciate it!! Are you also into city building yourself? :)
@@brickcitymatt I am building a city. However I have been dealing with family issues. Dad is 92 and brother has MS so I haven't gotten any building done in months.
@starhunter2300 I’m truly sorry to hear about your father’s health and your brother’s condition. Sending you strength, love, and hope for brighter days ahead. LEGO will always be there, when the time is right. Take care ❤️
Cool
Thanks!! Do you have a LEGO city yourself? :)
Yippie 🥳
Hi 🙋♂️ very good Video and music 😅and mocs ✌️
Hey there :) thanks so much, much appreciated! Glad you enjoyed, see you in the next one!
Very very good mocs….barthtezz is the best 🤩
Couldn't agree more!! And yep, Barthezz's Venice moc is absolutely stunning!! Too bad we probably won't be able to see it anymore - he dismantled it after this show (at least partially, there's a video on his Instagram page where he tips over one of the towers 😅)
@@brickcitymatt 😇yes I hope he continues working. or you can knock one out😅✌️😎
Nice video again, great to see everything again. It was also great talking to you
Thank you Ian, appreciate it! Was also nice talking to you again :) see you at the next one!
Hi Matt, I'm the organizer of the show of this event (and the builder of a few tiny parts...), thank you for this lengthy video with fantastic images of everthing on display!
Hi Erik, that's awesome to hear, thank you for the kind words and many thanks for organizing this wonderful brickshow!!
What was the total cost for all the extra parts?
I was lucky that I had some of the parts in my inventory, so I was able to make the total order a bit smaller. At the time (prices fluctuate), it was around €138 excluding shipping (see 2:16 time mark in the video). I got it from six stores so that meant around 20 euros on top of that for shipping and handling. It's a big project but for me it was worth it. You're contemplating to build it yourself?:)
@@brickcitymatt I built it recently and was wanting to see what other people paid for it I spent about $180 but I pick a bricked all the extra parts
