If you don't mind me offering a suggestion, you could always place the older sets in one area of your Lego City and have a couple of the new sets mixed in so as it looks like the old parts of the city is being torn down and redeveloped. Great video, I'm looking at starting to build my own Lego CIty, too. So I will become an avid watcher of your channel. Keep up the good work.
I would work on the railway as this can give you ideas on where your modules are going to be placed.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful suggestion and your kind words! 🙏
I appreciate the idea of merging old and new sets more to create a sense of redevelopment. In the layout in this video it is a bit too separated perhaps with the modulars only on the raised platform. And I agree with you on the railway, great way indeed to get a good feeling of where things can go.
Just so you know, a grand makeover of the city is underway as we speak! Until the next update, happy building!

Building new sets and integrate old sets? Well, you had my curiosity but now you have my attention!
