Hayabusa 157 hooks
The Hayabusa 157 hook pattern.
A very popular hook with the feeder and perch angler. The 157 is quite and agressive hook yet lightweight for its gauge of wire
With a slight beaked in point the 157 is a spade end hook with a wade gape crystal bend and a medium length shank and whisker barb. Ideal for worm, double caster or maggot, it's lightweight giving good presentation.
You can find them in store or pop alng to the link below

Hayabusa 128 Hooks

The Hayabusa 128 hook This was the original pattern of hook we started with from the Hayabusa range. A good all round hook the medium gauge wire is available in Nickel or Black Nickel. A round bend with a whisker bard and a medium length shank, spade end. Suitable for just about any bait, the strength of the wire gives you confidence that should you hook into something big the hook will handle ...

Looking after your Pole Elastic

Pole elastic is a very important part of your pole set up, and can easily be over looked as far as mantaining its life span. Pole elastic will dry out, you may notice that when you purchase new elastic it has a nice sort of oily film to it. Over time this washes off / drys out meaning the elastic can start to become brittle and rough thus failing. Silicone pole elastic lubricant goes a long way...

A bit of hook preparation for the canal

A little bit of preparation for fishing the canal. Tying plenty of hooks should be an important part of your preparation. Yes you can tie them on the bank but that takes time. And trying to tie small hooks like 22’s and 24’s on the bank is not easy. We spend more time off the bank than on so why use precious bank time tying hooks when you can do that at home. Hi mate, Set up sounds good to me. So long as it works for you that is the main thing. Stick to your 11 mtr its more than enough id of thought for most places. You could always chuck a waggler or a small feeder/bomb for your longer line. Sounds like your doing bob on with elastic choice. :-) As for MIddy they are still around. The original owners retired and sold the company. The new owners have annouced they hoping to have everything back up and running in March. They have been posting about stuff on Facebook.
