đą this story is absolutely heartbreaking đ wat a remarkable woman â€
Incredible lady. You are inspiration to women and children this has happened to â€â€â€
A very necessary and enlightening interview , breathe if fresh air . Thank you
I never see any racism in this country, only people saying it happens. Or like this guy insinuating it might have happened. But it didn't actually involve racism. I think its very very bad to do this and it'll be the end of wokeness. People are slowly realising this
So that's a no!
So would that be racial abuse or drunken abuse? "Some slurred comments".
Assuming if it is similar to the experiences I have had. Letâs say drunken abuse with an undertone of racism.
Racist comments are really messed up drunken or otherwise. Itâs crazy and sad because I have found the Irish to be generally nice/ decent people and culturally sensitive (due to their own rich history and the history of discrimination against them). Thereâs always going to be some people (across the board) who ignorantly let down those who otherwise were actually a really welcoming people. I lived in both Dublin and Donegal for years. Best wishes to you and your family in Eire âđŸđ«¶đŸ
Ireland is racist, I grew up there, my black friends got alot of abuse and racial slures when we went out to pubs or clubs, close minded people in northern Ireland. What a surprise they can't even agree on a book that happened 2000 years ago, stupid really, even in 2023 it's Like going back to 1900s lol I'm wrong ? Bring a black guy home to your Irish mummy or daddy and see what happens lol
Yvonne spoke for me. She spoke for thousands of women who are going through this same situation. Do these men, (our ex-partners) follow a script on how to abuse, threaten and intimidate women? Torturing a motherâs little children with these stand over tactics IS worse than a punch to our faces.
Strength personified! đ This last section of detailed thoughts was like a poem and the imagery it created for the listener was so raw it will surely help some family as bear said "a father's catalogue of hellish emotions and moments at his son's bedside" .. may Eoghan keep living life as full as possible.. Dermot and Eileen you are special. You credited the neurologist but you too played your part in saving his life.. think of it like this your son was drowning it was YOU guys pulled him out of the water and allowed the doctors to give him the kiss of life! It was YOU. And you talked about a lightbulb switching onit was magic to you... well I believe that was God, he surely walked you out of that situation hand in hand.
Sheâs such a beautiful soul wish her all the best in her life and all the healing x
I think Bear and Scully handled this interview very well, Bear was just trying to create a timeline of events so it was easier for everyone to understand, which he did in a v mannerly way. .Sonething doesnt add up. On her FB page she was only married for a year, broke up, met Josh within weeks , Got engaged to him even though he was treating her v badly. Josh is still all over her FB page, i just cannot undetstand why you would still have pictures of a man that tried to murder you still on your page ?? Im not judging or questioning the girls story, just my opinion.
She is amazingly strong and brave. The way she speaks about people is beautiful. đ
So bad this interview! Unbelievable đ
A very raw and emotional story of one family's nightmare of what happened to their son. Dermot I am sure this will help others who could have their lives changed overnight.. Sending all my love to you and the family. So happy to have met you all and are close friends now.
"S
God Bless Malachy đâ„ïž
What a life story đź wishing you all the best in the furture đ Never saw these 2 bouys so quiet
Such an amazing father and family as a whole, so incredibly sad and scary to think in the blink of an eye, how life can change immeasurably and the pain inflicted on one family. A raw, honest and extremely emotive account of a parent's unimaginable nightmare but equally the most heartwarming story of hope and comfort it will provide to many. Sending lots of love and prayers to Eoin and his family.
It sounds confusing but she will still be very confused sheâs not long out of the abusive relationship, and although he was violent to her she will still love him, you canât just switch that off. She wonât remember the timeline because so much happened in a short space of time. Even after 14yrs out of a dv relationship there are things Iâm told I still donât remember and probably never will. She needs counselling but she will do that all in her own time x
I've been trying to teach my kids that no means no... its literally become a catchfrase in my house! I don't care how many yeses it's that 1 single no that makes the difference
I once had an un-known affair... arround the age of 21ish & he said the exact same thing "it's over we have been split for over a year I'm only staying there because the house is caught up in the divorce & I can't afford to move out & pay the mortgage" he said it on the first date so I assumed he was being upfront like he could have hid it for a few weeks until we got more serious! đ€Šââïž
So bad this story is cant make head nor tail of it
Great podcast and Dermot is stronger than he realises.
I despise domestic, but that poor girls' story doesn't add up times days drinking stories are all wrong
This is one of the most accurate descriptions of what itâs like to be in a relationship with a narcissist. Even though our stories arenât identical, they are similar in an uncanny way !! What an amazing woman she is â€ïžđđŒ
"you know"
Very informative porcast...So many red flags ignored..Stick to the pets..U be much happier
What a brave woman you are! I feel so sorry for you and your boys. He is not human! God watches everything and he will get his karma!!!!!
I'd advised the eldest son records his dad. Audio , this way he can use this in court as his voice. He won't need to speak. It would all be there. I stopped access for a year because our son has autism and my abusive ex would deny his needs to the point our son was hysterical begging not to go. Que escalation of abuse. This lasted 3 yrs post pandemic. We recorded everything, my son had his say. Court thankfully saw all the abuse, he now has strict restrictions. Yvonne,I just want to hug you and your boys
Yvonne, big love to you â€â€â€
Although my marriage wasn't physically abusive. It took me 6 yrs post divorce to realise I was in a coercive marriage. Emotional abuse, gaslighting. During the pandemic I got hundreds of emails full of abuse. For the first time in 12 yrs I showed a friend all the emails and messages, she's said that's abuse!! So I spoke with a charity in Bristol called nextlink. They read it all and had to educate me on coercive control and gaslighting. He would use our child to manipulate or call me a bad mother. I took him to court and now he's not allowed to contact me. Only through the parenting app. This type of abuse is more damaging psychologically
She is one of the greatest heroines that ever lived, risked everything and went to jail, rolemodel would be an understatement for her.
You must always listen to your intuition
Omg , im in tears listening to this , I feel like we were married to the same man ...I had years of this abuse and its only now (12 years later) that my kids are ok , not great , just ok ....it took me years to get my confidence back but im damaged as a person because of him đą
Is this lovely lady getting help
My impression is that she feels she doesnât need it. Just âbe strong, be resilientâ. You canât recover fully without feeling through all the shit. The only way around is through the mess. Face it with vulnerability, deal with it all.
@@suziecheeseman3760 thank you I asked before watching the whole thing she's very brave for speaking about it so soon after it happened
I think yous should do some research on guests before bringing them on
đ
I worked as a mental health key worker & have nvq3 dementia training & can verify all she says about the incompetence, lack of properly trained staff & broken communication ect. How devastating & my heart goes out to her & many others who are being continually let down. Itâs all about the money & not the care đą
What an amazing lady â€ïž I hope she manages to live a happy peaceful life going forward â€ïž
This woman needs to do the freedom training program to prevent her getting into another abusive relationship. I would like add it really felt like the interviewers donât believe her story, and an element of victim blaming and they havenât briefed her very well before the interview. Sheâs clearly still in shock from whatâs happened.
I think they were trying to help get a clearer picture of the timeline., for the sake of the listeners. It was all over the place.
I waited 2 yrs and still never got on the course. When I finally got to top of the list in Bristol I turned it down. Sadly the wait was long, in the end I did my own research.
I don't feel like they didn't believe her, they had watched the video of the attack. She was just jumping around a lot, so they were trying to understand the timeline, that's what I thought.
Hopefully people come to comments first ffs she is nuts
What balls did i just listen 2, what shit she speaks lol
Clearly youâve never been in this position, if youâd of seen the video of the attack youâd not call it balls.
Such a heartbreaking story. Thank you for sharing your story, hopefully through sharing it will help someone who is going through a similar situation to find their voice. Take care of yourself xx
This interview is very confusing and all over the place, and this could be because she is nervous. I will say that she definitely needs therapy
This Not just ireland this going on in England also. Corupt from top to bottom. Money going to PRIVATE companys and AMERICA got their claws in
I don't think it's 'strong' to get out of an abusive marriage to jump straight into living with a man who is an alcoholic narcissist and to put up with that behaviour and reward it with holidays, resulting in attempted murder which you then refuse to accept so the man gets a lighter sentence. That's not a strong woman there, that's a damaged woman.
Very confusing podcast and this lady does need therapy
Wow what an unbelievable fella. đąâ€
Hasnât everyoneâs granny at some stage told them if youâre being attacked get your phone out and record it? My granny used to say to me in the 90s if youâre in danger get the camcorder out
No nether of my grannyâs said this to me
Do you have to be a balloon to get on this show
This is why u should never donate to an unknown charity
Clearly bear and scully donât do research on their guests before the interview!!!
Y is this?
