Be glad that system had door lock monitoring installed. That's why all the floors cleared out. Had that not been equipped with DLM, that cab could have cranked up with the doors open even though the interlock wasn't made. This is because it's always possible that a mechanic could have forgot to remove a jumper during repairs. For mechanics, this is why I'm a Grinch when it comes to harmonic (link/arm driven) door operators. On new systems, I only recommend using belt (linear) driven door operators with European style synchronous clutches/skates (i.e. Fermator/Sematic (Schindler 31/33/5500), Wittur AMD/SGV (KONE, TKE), or GAL MOnxt). These door operators don't have gate switches, instead they have interlocks on both shaft and cabin doors, meaning a physical jumper cable is needed for a passenger to bypass both doors. Gate switches are illegal in Europe as per code. The North American code should also prohibit them due to the action entailed in this video.

I am surprise they let people pus with a truck pushing right next to them. The truck can slide sideway and knock them down and cause injury.

And the City of Calgary does not have the will or ability to clear streets of snow........turn that job over to private enterprises, and I guarantee it will be done much better, at a lower cost to taxpayers, so we can get to work in the morning after a storm........get these city idiots to move aside, they are costing us money for the inability to do anything right

and operating those artiuclated buses during these kind of conditions is another brilliant idea as well.....but what do you expect from government idiots......everything they do is a complete disaster

the buses have bald tires.....no snow tires.....the City of Calgary must think they are Miami.....wake up dumb policitians, get snow tires on them buses during the winter months and the at would resovle this silliness.

it isnt the bus drivers fault.. they do what they are told.the city needs to fix the public transit service. those bus drivers work awful hard and get treated horribly sometimes.

Those oil junkies waiting for the train across the street could have at least helped out. Give them some excersize. Would be the highlight of 2012 for them.
