Terrific falls! Generally ravens are talkative, but that bunch takes the cake. Now I’m well and truly jealous. That old Chevy looks like a prime driver to me. Next video you do on this, please show the I.d. tag inside the drivers side door. One ton would be a 3800. That looks like maybe a 4400. Except for the dents, really nice shape. Looks like very little rust. Enjoy. Take care.
LT6 swap 😁 . Cute
Cool truck the same year I was born.👍
Yard art? That must have been a heavy pull. No fast maneuvers getting things whipping around. Yeah, when they built 1 ton trucks back then they were built like a truck.
Awesome 💯
You dont put heat shield around the x pipe, do you have issue with the bumper melting with heat!? If you want some more quiet ride and monster deeper sound when you feel it, take a look on the Borla Attak kit with the AFM and NPP valve. The best of two world!!!
I wish mine had the NPP valves sometimes Its nice to make it quiet
Just did mine today, talking w a Chevy engineer, the flush is not required.. so don’t let people tell you otherwise.. for less than 100 bucks and an hour and a half time, a pretty easy job.. I used ramps and had plenty of room.. the lift is a nice luxury!! 😊
No dealer will care about your car like you do. I'm sure there are so.e out there but...
Did you add fluid back in as well?
Way too much work, way too complicated and way too many busted and scratched knuckles. And of course way too long. Filling it from the side took me going slowly about 1 1/2hr. That pain was jacking and removing the tire. That’s it.
I can't find part two. Do you have a video or pictures to share of the final look? Thanks!
Why in the hell didn’t gym just add the two quarts to begin with?
Now that's a Vette!! Had a '76 for awhile and really miss that one. May not have been the fastest, but it rode great and I'd take it over a new one ANY DAY!
Hello I want to change the filter on the corvette but does the motore have to br cold?? Or shlead it be hot?
38:12 both said nah at the same time 🤣
NO OFFENSE,...BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE A TRACTOR IDLING!! NEEDS A BIGGER CAM!!😊
One thing I forgot to mention. You said you really like the rally wheels. I do too. The ones on your car are wider than the rally wheels on the C2 cars. The C3 cars have 8 inch wide wheels. If you want to do something a little different to the wheels, get a set of the flat center caps for a C2 and put them on. It makes the wheels look even deeper, and personally I think it makes the rally wheels look even better. Just a thought.
That's a nice looking 75, and actually kind of an oddball because it doesn't have a/c or power windows, it's a 4-speed, and it has silver interior. There weren't very many made with silver interior. I really like it... I'm surprised you don't have much room in the car. I'm 6'2" 200 pounds, and I have plenty of room in the C3's. I know it's a stupid question, but did you move the telescopic steering wheel as far as it will go towards the dash ? The L-48 engines are very anemic, but they seem to run better than the advertised 180 horsepower, especially with a 4-speed. It's too bad it doesn't have the L-82 350. They were rated at 205 horsepower if I remember correctly, but there weren't very many of them ordered in the 74, 75 and 76 cars. With headers and a good exhaust, and some distributor work it really made a difference on the L-82 engines... I'm surprised that it still has the ignition shielding on it. A lot of people took them off.
Interesting about the rally wheels. This one doesn't have a tilt telescope ING wheel. She's a base spec o think
@@mikesgarage6331 I apologize for the lengthy comment. Once I get started talking about trucks or Corvettes, I have a hard time stopping... I missed that Mike. It wasn't uncommon for the 68-73 cars to not have the tilt / telescoping wheel, but most of the 74 and newer cars had it, so I just assumed that Andreas car had it too. It's a really nice option because it does make a big difference in how much room you have. Not having it just makes it even more of an oddball car, but that's not a bad thing... I agree with you, I like chrome bumpers. My favorite C3 is a 69. Not a huge difference cosmetically between the 69 and the 72 you mentioned, but I like the simple side vents on the fenders of the 69. In 1970 they got a little busier looking when they changed to the egg crate design, and of course the 69 had higher horsepower options. Another neat feature of the 68-72 cars was a removable rear window. So you could remove the T-tops and the rear window and almost have a roadster... I do like the 73 cars too because they are a little different. They have a urethane front bumper but they have chrome rear bumpers, and 73 was the only year that they did that... Either way, Andreas car is a beauty. I love the red with silver interior and it's a 4-speed. The fact that it basically has no options wouldn't stop me from buying it or enjoying it.
Yeah there is a few Stingrays around here, I've looked at them and its no way in hell I'm fitting in there I'm only 5'9" 200ish pounds lol. I like the old school cars with a carburetor you can feel the engine running. They might not go as fast, or have the quick throttle response but you stomp on the skinny pedal nothing replaces that sound of a old school muscle car. As for the steering I think that is just the way 70s cars were like, my old man had quite a few of the old 70s Ford cars the big old boats like the LTDs the steering felt really light almost like it wanders but it doesn't. I'm not a big car guy I would like to own a 70s Ford highboy with a 79 front clip on it.
Another guy that doesn’t know what a fender cover is for
Score!!! Nice addition mate!!
Very Nice!!! The only reason I never bought one is that I can’t fit in them😂😂
Stingray looks really nice Andrea & Mike! Really nice shape and I like the silver interior…stands out. I either walk or ride my ebike past that spot in North Van all the time, about half way between home near Capilano University and Lonsdale Quay.
Ohh cool, yeah it was a weird place to find an old Corvette in the underground parking.
Now thats a sweet C3 mike. I'd take that over all the other ones, yes even your new one 😆
Andrea Loves it, shes driving it everywhere and its being good and not getting hot or acting up.
Shes a Pretty one Mike , my all time favorite Vette is the orange centerfold in the 1977 brochure . Might not be the fastest of the breed but she hung on my bedroom wall as a kid . Driving a C3 & looking over those fenders & ya cant see the front 4 ft takes some getting used to 😁 You put on a C3 , I spent 80s & 90s working in a Chev /Olds store ... Im 6ft4 & got to drive quite a few got a good laugh one day when I saw one with a handicap plate
LOL that's awesome. Its all about the driving experience....
Awesome car I hope she enjoys it👍👍
she Loves it!
That's a noce car Mike. I 6 ft and I have issues getting in and out of a Corvette. The lot manager is taller than me and he drives an aniversary 23 Vette.
I was surprised, in my 50 years I've never actually sat in a C3
@@mikesgarage6331 I've seen one in person, never got to sit in one.
I use OEM Filters and Oil until the Factory warranty is up. Then I switch them to Mobil 1 Full Synthetic Oil and Mobil Oil Filter. Just my personal input.
Does your Gasoline have Ethanol in it or is that a USA thing?
This man has the right attitude, buy now and enjoy, why wait til 65 or later. First of all, you're NOT guaranteed to reach 65 and if you do, you might not be able to get in/out of a car like this. And if you make it to 70, most likely you'll be in the market for a handi van.
Get some latex gloves 💀
I'm getting the 2M Cat Back without the Valves. The videos I saw looked pretty good.
The C1 is such a gorgeous car
Totally get it!
Yes. That Alcantara leather has a nice and long-lasting new-car scent.
Damn, this is so accurate. It's just what middle-aged men do, if they're able to afford it. Like a rite of passage.
Love that white Z06 with mod red interior. One of my favorites.
Can’t really see the plate
I’m not a Corvette fan but that was pretty cool
I guess growing up in the 60’s I’m partial to all the C2 Vettes. Always liked how depending on options and colours some of them seemed feminine say in light blue, white convertible with white wall tires or they could look like a brutal monster as a coupe in a darker colour, Rat motor, red line tires and side pipes!
I was there 35 years ago & it looks bigger now , happy you enjoyed the pilgrimage 😍 the ARDUN flat head Ford / Zora I only heard about a few years back .... they date back to 1947
It was very cool to get to see.
I was hoping to see 1961 vette. They seem to be rare
So glad the algorithm put me on this channel! I might actually do 23 & me to see if I have a long lost Canadian brother.
Typical youtubers spend half the video talking about nonsense when the title says somerhing else.
You didn't appear to do the DCT "flush procedure" that is supposed to be done before changing the DCT external filter. Or did you do it but know show it? If you didn't do it, you are not meeting the required maintenance procedure to maintain your warranty.
I don't think you can do a flush without the dealer
@@mikesgarage6331 You can...if you buy the right tool and pay the subscription fee. But, that is not the point. If you are doing the filter change yourself instead of the dealer, without doing the flush procedure, you are not following the maintenance schedule properly and GM could decline to provide a warranty repair if you have a DCT problem down the road.
@@scottwinders9961 what tool would that be?
@@joeyofblades Bosch MDI2
"Josh Holder said NOT critical if a DIYer to do a flush prior to DCT filter change. He said they actually have similar flush occur in normal driving". You can change the filter early as a DIY, and there's no harm in that. For the required maintenance at 7500 to maintain warranty, the flush should be done. Personally I'd have the dealer do the 7500 change so it is documented!
Mike, you need to see my new video (@XpeedTactics) on what happened when changing my filter lol anyway I was going to install a Dodson 1 way valve to fill the dct with oil when I found a leak not sure if is tranny or the engine working on that now as soon I work with the issue I will post the video that 1-way valve is the easiest way and safer to put oil on the tranny.
I'll check it out
not a fan of corsa exhaust on any corvette. id prefer borla atak
I haven't heard the borla
did the snap ring come as part from your Corsa exhaust system?
It came off the car
Nice Vette congratulations. Enjoyed the vlog
In my 2006 f350 6.0 it was the stiff front Ujoints.
I installed a quarter turn quick drain adapter into the side fill port. Added the two additional quarts with a pressure pot.
That's a great idea.
You are a trooper - I think I would jack up the driver's side, pull off the left rear, and go through the check tranny level port. The GM engineers definitely made that fill plug hard to get to on purpose. Guaranteed hours for the dealership mechanics! How much extra would it have cost to run a fill tube off to the side of the airbox accessible from the trunk or engine bay? I'm sure there will be an industrious company making a tranny fill relocation kit in the future.
I think if I had another floor jack I would have tried that way. But would hate for a jack to slip out and rip off a side skirt in the process.
