People out there always change power steering fluid every 2 years, the old fluid has metal shavings that damage the rubber seal and that over time causes the leaks.

How did you manage to torque those Hex bolts with the spring and shock absorber in the middle?

Thanks ,just blow mine gasket,i think,no leaking on the ground,no visueel leaking,but white cloud/smoke,and cool liquid can you see disepeare,but again, not on the ground,what you think?

Could those rubber bushings be replaced instead of the whole arm?

I prefer to use another jack on the brake disk compress the spring just a little. Great video

Nice video - and thanks for highlighting the preload of the suspension; it's important so that the bushings do not start with a pre-stress, which will soon damage the rubber bushings. Greetings from Norway.

Very helpful ... I'should have unmounted the spring-shockabsorber unit from the top in order to be able to move it right and let and extract the bolts. Anyway how you did is faster! Thank you so much

Hi just wondering many hours does it take to do the job? Does one need to drain the system? A mechanic told me there was a recall for a fault of this system and therefore you have to also replace the hydraulic fluid. I that correct?

Any clues on how to tension the belt? I haven't removed my pump yet but the official workshop manual makes it look very complicated.

Mine buzzes when the fluid is low (I have a leak) , very sensitive to this, even a very small amount of fluid missing and it buzzes like a donky. With fluid to the max no problems or noise.

My pump doesn’t make any noise, but sometimes the power steering doesn’t work at low revs / on idle. Really tuff when parking. Could it be the pump anyway, or more likely something else?

I had the same issue and I’ve replaced the power steering pump, along with the alternator and air-conditioning compressor, belts and tensioner, which is basically everything on the poly-belt side. And after that, I got the same problem again lmao. Now I ordered new powersteerimg pump again, with new reservoir and high pressure pipes connected with the pump. I wish I can see some improvements from my previous repair lol
