Fingerbot Plus Dissection, Zigbee Version (looking at the insides)
Dissection (looking at the insides) of a zigbee Fingerbot Plus. These units were both damaged during shipment from China. One still operated despite the damage. The other operated, but had a piece of broken plastic impeding the gear, thereby limiting its travel (wouldn't travel far enough to actually push a button). I figured I would throw caution to the wind and see what I could do to resurrect the faulty unit. This video represents part of what I learned during my dissection. Not shown here is a small plastic cover in the battery compartment that just covers/protects the circuit board (it also uses similar adhesive foam). By the way, I control these using Home Assistant.

Seal cable hole through concrete
zhlédnutí 66Před rokem
I had this random idea to use stress-relieving miniature footballs to seal off a cable pathway I drilled through my 11 inch thick foundation wall. I drilled a 1 3/8 inch hole all the way through the concrete with my rotary hammer and a big SDS plus bit. The cables contained therein are intended to serve a primary and backup sump pump with power and switch controls. I have two other window wells...
Prevent Husky floor mats from floating with Jeep doors off

The problem with floating floor mats really only applied to the passenger front seat when I ...
Secure your Hi-Lift jack and still operate your Jeep soft top

I was frustrated by the limited products available to secure a Hi-lift jack in the back of a Jeep JK and still be able to operate the soft top without removing the jack so I made my own. The 2-in split ring hangers can be found at a plumbing supply house. I was not able to find them at your typical Lowe's or Home Depot or Menards. I was able to GENTLY pry the reflector away from the screw on cap with clear lens cover (put the wooden dowel into the hole that the old-school bulb pokes through and used the dowel as a "soft" pry tool to separate them). As I mentioned, it took some careful "doing".

Bought 2 of these 5,000 Lumens model and within 1-year neither are working now. One started Flickering then went out. While they were working it was amazing. Nothing brighter on the Planet. The Snake style Neck is the best worklight on the Planet for Construction repair and Automotive used it for everything. Loved it and shared it but didn’t last. Think it runs to Hot in the Head housing. I even drilled Cooling holes into my 18-Volt Dewalt Head. Will try to get a Warranty and let others know if they stand behind it.
