Fallout 1 / 2 mutants: Genuinely interesting and well written, characterised creatures with reasonable motivations - rebuilding humanity under one banner, the Unity. Fallout 3, 4, and 76 mutants: Generic mindless, orcs without any purpose except killing and looting. They have so little thought put into them. Like seriously, why are they across the country? FEV was unique to Mariposa.

All fell, because all had their flaws. Griffin school is the most promising, but without atleast contactincg and somehow rehabilitating the cat school, all their work to redeem witchers in the publics eye was destined to be pointless. Viper school idea was failed from the start, the only one with true understanding and knowledge of wild hunt was ivar(founder of the school) no one else really believed in the cause. Overtime they turned elite assasins for mostly nilfgaard. Bear, while well treated(for witcher standart) by people, the founder(arnaghads) believs that witcher dont need to have loyalty to their code and place, just led to their lair be abandoned. Wolf while being the standart, unlike griffit and bear, never made any effort to distinguish themselfs from other hated schools like viper and cat, leading to them being one of the worst treated among people. Cat school, run outs were destined to fail from the beginning. Their changed mutation have witchers anger issues tied to their adrenaline. And guess what happens when someone is in stress or battle, they have adrenaline, and witchers one is even more developed. Leading them to be the most infamous, cause unlike vipers who were just assasins, they butchered whole towns, making bad fame for all the witchers apart from manticore, bear and griffins.

Nightkin are the best. They kept most of their knowledge from when before they transformed. Some of them even have GRANDKIDS

All of this is non canon afaik. Sapkowski never really expanded on the schools and their traditions. Also most of the schools are game only inventions. In books there is only the Wolf, Cat and Griffin.

I feel like Bethesda could have done so much more with Super Mutants, instead of just turning them into another generic enemy like the feral ghouls and radiscorpians.
