You are the tool that is going to fix the world! How can the world run smoothly when all the people are acting with selfishness? We have taken birth to reduce the negative karma record of our births by acting with good intentions in this birth! This is our basic need to have food, clothing and shelter. We go beyond that and get caught up in the illusion of the world and get stuck in the illusion that we want the necessary assets for the rest of our lives and the lives of our descendants! We should give our descendants the knowledge they need, not the wealth! If the world environment deteriorates, even if only your descendants are millionaires and have a lot of property, can only your descendants recover from the violent social environment of murder and robbery? Today in the world, women, children, and pregnant women are being killed by a government if you do not change your mind? You are also becoming a tool for violent rulers. It is you who are killing and destroying your beloved offspring in the future in the present. Good and bad are not given to us by others! We create ourselves! So! Abandon the private economy and act knowing the real truth that this land belongs to all living beings on this land. If you act with a higher intention everything will fall into place. The world will not rest until the private economy ends! The state of Israel is the peak of the private economic system! Should it continue? Should it come to an end? If the private economy continues in the world, Israel, America, and the Illuminati will continue! A terrible future? A peaceful life? Now is the time for people to decide!

I would argue that an increase in overall life span constitutes progress-to which modern innovation has been the primary catalyst of. I would also argue that you should not bring up a problem without a solution. The closest Greer came to a genuine solution was when he proposed that we should keep some technology while we get rid of most of it. This statement no doubt has truth to it, however, who is to decide the technological limitations? Can humans truly discern such limitations? If we can, how much authority would such limitations require? Greers “solution” would require a group of politically motivated individuals to create a definition of progress that they found tolerable. They would be required to enforce their definition of progress through legislation-legislation driven by funding at that. If i’m not mistaken, this was Greer’s exact concern with the notion of progress to begin with. A collective consensus of progress requires an absolute solution to which there is none-the politics are inevitable and necessary. One might say that a laissez fare attitude is the closest a society could get to a state of progress outside of political intervention. The laissez fare attitude is a polar opposite to Greers solution, and is also no doubt, a suboptimal one. The answer is to be found in between.

I understand he only had 15 minutes, but he did not cite anything he said. The predictions he mentioned at the beginning were from the early 1900’s as far as i can tell-since when was it considered logical to value the current state of society in comparison to 100 year old predictions? Furthermore, absolute poverty is being lifted an all time high rate, and jetpacks have been invented.

@@lucasgrey9794 I haven't seen any evidence for the "typical lifespan of Ancients", much less any evidence showing the average lifespan of a population to be 120 years. You didn't even specify what population you are talking about. Also it is true the U.S. life expectancy has dropped 2.7 years in the past 2 years-however, not only did I never say I was talking about the U.S., but it is worth pointing out that even the U.S. life expectancy has risen by about 40 years since the beginning of the 20th century. Plus, the world-wide average for life expectancy has grown at a similar rate. It is unfortunate we don't live in the ideal circumstances that the ancient people you mentioned were so lucky to live in, but I'd say the world has done a good job over the past couple decades, all things considered.

Mr. Greer has never (to my knowledge) advocated for limiting technology through legislation. He expects technology to be limited by physics and the biophysical bounds of planet Earth. He believes that our current level of technology is only made possible through the use of fossil fuels, due to their unique combination of high energy density, portability, and storability at room temperature. He expects a "Long Descent," a mostly gradual decline and fall of this civilization as the peak of fossil fuel production is passed, and fossil fuels become increasingly scarce. He views this as an inevitable outcome of increasing resource scarcity, ecological overshoot, etc. and the natural cycles of history (the rise and fall of complex civilizations). In short, he is not advocating for some legislative limiting of technological advancement. To the contrary, his view is that the limits _are not optional,_ but will be imposed by physics and ecology. When he talks about government action in this context, his expectation is that governments will flail about, generally making things worse, while proving incapable of solving anything, because (in his view) our situation is not a problem that can be solved, but a predicament that can only be lived with and adapted to.

I thouroughly enjoyed this mans presentation! It was basic and to the point, yet the delivery style was very sly in all the important places that makes me say, whoa, rewind, grab a pen and jot down that sentence...or names. Now, in 2021, i see and learn from news...and not just one mundanely predictable network, but from as many diverse outlets as possible...that the combination of climate change, Geoengineering, and wave of big business and it's money has thrown all hats in the ring and now definitely pushing it's agenda through the political ring. I see w/ my own eyes and deduce w/my functioning senses that something goes on weekly if not daily in the skies above me that didnt use to and is not right. I am old enough to remember the clear deep blue sky of my youth and the nights of beautiful star gazing, letting the eyes relax just a bit out focus to start counting the surpising number of shooting stars i could catch. There is so much noise and denial of "chem trails" and I really believe that us regular people need to be educated on the difference for maybe that is the tripping factor which allow such denial. Basically, I would surmise that a completely visible lower flying airplane, most times more than one at a time, usually two, that is visibly working a patch of sky leaving trails of thickening, spreading white that spreads to form a dingy haze that people want you to believe are naturally occuring clouds, is spraying chemicals to "cloud seed" which seems to logically be able to be called a "chem trail" or trail of purposely sprayed chemical agent in the sky to attract the moisture to form rain clouds. And they try to tell you that a plane/planes are leaving only contrails which is only condensation, and furthermore tell me to get a "flight plan" and I would see that is normal everyday commercial and private plane traffic. Righhht. No, i am not going to get sidetracked by the technical jargon and reports i maybe am not qualified to understand and i doubt would reveal to me in laymans terms what i need to know. The deniers, especially quoting their either commercial pilot or military pilot career credentials at you first thing, are going to do just that. Use technical engineering, fuel combustion ratios, weather system differentials, weight and lift of different types of planes, etc...along with calling "you people" morons, idiots, dense, uneducated, all the while throwing links at you that prove themselves, telling you to "prove your claim". Remember, the top environmental agencies are all in this together...the same people proving THEIR truths, are the same ones denying that they have knowledge of any "aerosol spraying", "chemtrails", and additionally have no comments or intent to let you ask them to please explain what is going on with what you see. It is very discouraging when you realize how deeply this goes. When your country's...world's...top environmental agencies and organizations are refusing to give explanation or even be bothered to make up something...who do you turn to? Their are many private and individual watch groups with soo much real and consitent research and reporting out their. They are credible and can stand toe to toe with the big headed and motor mouthed pros. But that seems to be as far as it goes. How do you battle a foe that fortresses itself in and offers nothing? Anyway, i do not like what I see, whatever you call it. It is at the least creating an ugly obscurred sky. I see the fake made clouds. So w/o acknowledgement and explanation, i can assume that it is something most would not approve of being done w/o caring for or even informing the masses that it is happening. Thank you for this information on the power play and agenda behind this new technical term " Geoengineering" versus word "chem trails", which i noticed you were clear and quick on . That is curious to me...was it sarcasm? Or is their a reason you did not explain the difference? Thanks again!

I'm not saying we will ever reach a techno utopia (in fact a dystopia is more likely), but technological progress has been the primary driver of the alleviation of *so* much human suffering. It has lead to more eco friendly methods of production, it has lead to widespread and accessible information and knowledge, it has lead to increased funding to non profits and calls to action on environmental issues, and its hard to take your argument seriously when there is a big ".. yet" at the end of each statement. There ARE jetpacks now, for example. Arguments like these tend not to age well... be careful with them. No one *promised* anything, everyone is just excited to see what our civilization is capable of going into the technologically advanced age. However I do believe returning to our roots is necessary to remain healthy, for as long as we are animals we must return to our natural environment every so often.
