Bruce Gagnon: Space Tech & Corporate Full Spectrum Dominance

Bruce Gagnon was one of 45 leading scholars, authors and activists who convened at The Great Hall of Cooper Union, New York City, on October 25-26, 2014, for the public presentation: "Techno-Utopianism and the Fate of the Earth." Speakers discussed the profound impacts-environmental, economic and social-of runaway technological expansionism and cyber immersion; the tendency to see technology as the savior for all problems. Bruce Gagnon is the Coordinator of the Global Network Against Weapons & Nuclear Power in Space. He is a recipient of the Benjamin Spock Peacemaker award, and was featured on the news program "60 Minutes" for organizing a campaign which protested the launch of 72 pounds of plutonium into space in 1997 on the Cassini space mission .
In 2003, Bruce co-produced a popular video entitled "Arsenal of Hypocrisy" that spells out U.S. plans for space domination. In 2006, he produced another video, entitled "The Necessity of the Conversion of the Military Industrial Complex."
