AEROSTICH R3 Suit - Perfect for Hot Temps!
The Aerostich R3 Suit is perfect in hot weather motorcycle gear. Here are three reasons why the Aerostich R3 Suit is my go to in the summertime.
#1 Plenty of venting to create adequate air flow.
#2 Easy to take on and off.
#3 Tremendous protection.
ONE: The Aerostich (Stich’) has huge vents in the suit. When they are all opened there is plenty of airflow to the body. Drop the front zipper a few inches below the sternum ... perfect. When you are sweating the hot air will enter the front of the suit ... you will feel the coolness of your sweat all the way down to your legs.
TWO: Let’s say you’re riding to breakfast or lunch ... when you arrive the suit can be off almost as fast as just taking off a riding jacket ... but, when you take the suit off ... all your gear is off ... you will feel much more comfortable walking around in the heat. When ready to leave ... it takes less than 30 seconds to put the Stich’ on ... and you are ready to go.
THREE: There is no better integrated padding than in a Stich’! The Aerostich R3 suit has “large” (larger than anything else I've seen) ... you will feel protected with the Stich’. In summertime, with the Stich’ you will have adequate airflow to stay comfortable and the security of having some good protection.
Below are links to the products we discussed. They are affiliate links, and we will receive a tiny commission ... you will not pay more when using our links.
Also is the link to Aerostich ... we receive no commission from Aerostich 🙁. LOL
Thanks for watching and I hope you consider SUBSCRIBING.
Thanks!

I have 23 GSA Trophy but NO dirt riding experience okay just a tad with my previous GS HP with Anakee Adventures… Question that Im compelled to ask is this: How much confidence inspiring are these Motoz tires on the dirt on the 50/50? In addition mileage/longevity. Thanks in advance. Take care from balmy Arizona🫡🇺🇸🌵

Great idea for dry heat--I tried a cooling vest in the mid-Atlantic and, sadly, that was a no-go. I do like the layers you have though--I have similar ones form NPWear (no longer around). Great stuff. And the gaiter idea, too. I freeze mine and that helps a lot.

Great Question! You can not wear the "vest" in high humidity .. doesn't work. I failed to talk about high humidity and high heat .. in those cases I wear a tight fitted, long sleeve Under Armour shirt ... they make one for heat (to be worn in hot weather) it's a thin material ... you will see professional athletes wear something similar. Under high temps and humidity ... you are going to be warm :). The Under Armour shirt seems to wick away just enough sweat that you can get a bit of the "cooling" effect. Just to reiterate ... the "cooling vest" works well in low humidity but it will kill you in high humidity .. LOL. THANKS for the question!

@@dangerdave8080very cool🤙🏼thanks for the reviews. I do a few iron butts a year and am long overdue for an upgrade. I've been using a piece of real thick wool/hide which seems to help some, but its not a permanent solution by any means. I use to have a Sargent seat on an old VStrom that I really liked but since I upgraded to the GS six years ago it's just been the hard stock seat. It would be neat to see you do a longer term review of the Sargent once you've put a few more seasons on it. See ya on the road👊🏼

Dave, great video! You are correct, clutch control using the friction zone is the absolute key to success. I'm new to adventure riding but have been riding my whole life. A lot of road touring, trail, enduro, and single track in Colorado. I bought a 97 R1100 GS 1 1/2 years ago and having a blast. But I have to say, the GS is way different than my YZF426. I don't feel nearly as confident on the GS than the YZ. Mostly the weight difference, but some suspension, some age (63). It won't stop me because I still love the dirt. I'm in Arizona.

Had a set of these on my Africa Twin. They were really good on the road and decent offroad for the first 3500 miles. The front started herniating (bulges started forming under the tread) and the rear cracking (not severe) about that time so swapped them out. Running recommended PSI, climate controlled storage, etc. Plenty of tread left but the front looked like it was ready to fail. Could have been a case of bad luck, the roads get really hot here so it coulda been temp related as well. If you google this tire you will see there have been tons of delaminations/bad batches/failures so just keep an eye on them if you decide to get this tire.

What are your thoughts on the GPS Front tire offroad? **Would you recommend to keep the GPS tires (front / rear) paired, or would you keep the rear in offroad paired with a different front tire? Currently inhave the MOTOZ Dual Venture tire, and it performs well on road l, in the wet, offroad, sand, rocky, BUT it does howl quite a bit on tarmac. I ponder if the GPS front is too tame in the sand or gravel...

Today in preparation for riding to Redmond,OR for the BMW RALLY.... I replaced the rear with the Tractionator Adventure ... much more robust than the GPS ... I'm not sure what kind of dirt/mud I'll come across in Redmond ... also, the Adventure is fairly quiet for a knobby tire (700 miles of highways one way). I left the GPS on front ... I'd rather have a knobby up front ... but they are all so loud ... stuck with the GPS front for this trip. Certainly giving something up on the front with deep sand/mud ... hopefully the paddle on the rear will propell the bike through the sand and mud. Tires on motorcycles is so much personal preference ... how this helps! Thanks for watching!!!!!!!!
