How do I get you to make me one?
Awesome looking sheath! Your leather work is really outstanding.
Thanks John for your kind words and for helping me start the day on a positive note🙌
I've used the antique paste they sell at Tandy, (Fiebings, I think), but this looks like an interesting alternative. Thanks for sharing it.
thanks dude
Great job, with great crafter tips. Thanks so much.
@@davidsims1329 Thanks David I appreciate that
Another great video, I keep picking up more tips each time. I will order the templates. Thanks again
Thanks so much for this kind review Larry It really makes my day and I sincerely appreciate you ordering the pattern set Remember, feel free to reach out if something isn’t clear 👍
That was pretty terrific! Really - I need more thumbs!
@@DivineMisterAdVentures Indeed 😂 It’s the most underrated appendage of the hand Thank You🙌
Dammit George... Now I am gonna have to get this pack and enter the contest! Now to find my old USMC fighting knife.
@@HonestDoubter 😂 That’s the enthusiasm I’m looking for!! We will be announcing the competition in the near future with all the details and the nice thing about this is even if you don’t find your KaBar you can still build one without it because the winner will get a new KaBar USMC Knife and lots of swag from EDCLeather and myself. Stay tuned for details coming soon And Thank You
Where do you get these metal and round anvils?
@@thomaschetney990 Most larger cities have an industrial metal supply where they sell any size, shape and thickness of steel / aluminum materials
Great video -keep them coming thanks.
Thanks Stephen!! Appreciate that
Another great Tutorial Georgie!, We don't have Hobby Lobby in Ontario, What are your layout tools so I can look around for them.
Thanks Tony!! My layout rulers etc are primarily from Wescott If you still have trouble finding them I’ll pick up a set for you next time I’m in the big city You can DM me at (520)909-8256👍

@@viktorgeorge9144 you're welcome sir!
Another great video 💪🏻going to be so fun to built thoose sheaths, thx coach and edc for making inspiration videos
You, my friend are welcome!
Another great video! Thanks a bunch!
I appreciate your kind words Mason🙌
Excellent job.
George...premise my question Is not about this video...but please how I can clean some muld points after forming wet lether? Thanks!
I’m assuming it’s humid in your part of the country I haven’t had mold issues here in dry heat Arizona If humidity is the problem I would suggest you building a hot box to dry your leather goods after wet molding It’s basically a wooden box with a reptile heater and small fan Go to CZcams under EDCLeather and I believe they show how ones made Just a guess but try using lemon juice to help remove the mold? Good luck
@@viktorgeorge9144 Thanks a lot George..I'll let You now...👍
Hi George...neither lemon juice nor hipoclorite helped me! So I'm using my airbrush as learned by You!!!!
@@TroncatoreLove it! Thats how we do it if all else fails 🙌😂 Thank you

@@SquatchZone Sorry for the late response to your kind words Much appreciated
Thanks Viktor, another great video - I liked the magnet catch in the sheath.
Thanks Stephen I appreciate you taking a moment to say so! I like the magnet concept thanks to the rare earth magnet work Small & strong
Great video. The sheath came out nice. Good job. God bless. From Glenn CATT. In Massachusetts.
Whatever it takes joke got me.
Thanks So true though 😂
Awesome instructions as always! One question, I remember you doing magnetic sheath with the badge magnets, is there a reason you’re switching to these? Seems to me the bar on the badge magnets would maybe be easier to secure. Thanks for the info
Thanks Justin The badge magnet concept was my first ideas to employ a magnet This new version is stronger with the 3/4” X 1/8” rare earth and less labor intensive to install Plus the “shelf” gives some relief preventing the knife handle from digging into the blackstrap Thanks again
Thanks, I'm going to order you and edc make a great team
Thanks Ed I love the way they (EDCLeather.com). digitize patterns A lot of patterns out there aren’t precise enough for me 🙌
Nice job! Great tips!

@@viktorgeorge9144 amen!
Not a fan of dangle or fold over design sheaths BUT that one is AWESOME. Great work and thanks for sharing. 👍🔥😁
As usual I've never thought of that. Wow it's amazing how good it looks. Thanks again !!! P.S. when you get time shoot me a text I've had an accident and all my contacts got wiped out. Thanks again!
Thanks Mason It’s a fun process too, since I don’t have to be neat:) I’ll send a text for your contacts.
Hi Victor. Wonderful tutorial! I followed your directions for a KBar knife I made for my son in law. It was the first full-size jnife sheath I’ve made and it turned out beautifully…except for one thing. Like your example, I installed two name tag magnets, but it turned out pretty difficult to remove the knife. It for sure couldn’t have been withdrawn if the sheath was hanging on a belt. I removed all the stitches, carefully sliced the sheath open, the removed the bottom pair, glued and stitched it back together. Unfortunately, it STILL is difficult to draw the knife. I guess I’ll have to cut it again, pull out the bar, cut it in half and only use one magnet. I say this mostly as a head’s up for someone else that may be making this same sheath.
Hello Alan Sorry to hear of your difficulties but I’m curious about the magnets you used Were they the badge magnets? Those shouldn’t have been strong enough to lock it in like you described I’d love to dwelve alittle deeper into what could have caused that Thanks for your kind words If you have Instagram @viktorgeorgeleathergoods direct message me
😊
Wouldn't Fiebing's Antique achieve the same results?
Will try that on next adventure with leather. Think it would look good with a leg bone knife I made.
So I know you eyeballed the cant angle but how would you go about measuring it for different lays? Is it the angle from the top of 1 belt loop to the other?
That is correct Or draw a straight line thru the slots on your pattern as well as drawing a 90 degree horizontal baseline The angle between those two lines is your cant Hope that makes sense
Good video. Cool. God bless. From Glenn CATT. In Massachusetts.
Nice
Thank you Ed Hope is was helpful
thanks..
what caliber was the ammo?
That wax looks better than the antique wax.
It does impart a dull effect which I like This and the uneven wood staining of the leather gives it the appearance of being somewhat glazed as old patina Sure is fun experimenting with it to get the perfect effect
Does this give a different look than antique?
It does The oily stain or pigment of the furniture wax settles deep into the stamping impressions and if there are fat wrinkles in the hide it’ll effect that as well When it dries there’s a dirty glazed look that I don’t get with leather antique Definitely not something to use if you want a finished look
Thank you so much. Great tip! Was wondering if you have ever tried Minwax Finishing Wax. It is quite a bit cheaper and appears to come in different colors. Thank you.
@@mikemais84 Thank you Mike I’ve never tried Minwax but the next time I’m in the city I’ll pick up a can to try. I love experimenting with different things so Thanks again for the suggestion 🙌
Appreciate that . I’ve been using it on my carvings for years never entered my mind to try it on leather. Thanks as usual.
