TU: Mistakes made by Titanic: Honor and Glory - Lesson 21
Titanic: Honor and Glory has been going on for a while, and so mistakes have been made...
...in the technical interior design of the ship. The team has made *absolutely* no mistakes during production (that was a joke.)
See what we really want to correct when it comes to the historical side of Titanic's design! These are the big ones!

I don't quite understand that. At 1 hour and 15 minutes, water is running down the steps from E deck to F deck in the large stairwell. In the following exterior shot at 1 hour and 22 minutes, the water is on the outside of the ship at the level of F deck. Hydrodynamically, it should be impossible for the water to be higher inside the ship than outside, or am I misunderstanding something here?

Interesting that you say the Turkish bath had mirrors placed behind the lattice for the portholes but was moved inboard, but considering how they backlight the interior stained glass in other parts of the ship might they have had some backlighting there to make up for the move and still keep the space lit as desired?

at 2:23:30 they are still launching lifeboats partially empty and claiming later that there were no passengers around to put in them....but other accounts talk of the crew forming human chains around lifeboats so passengers can't get to them.... if Anybody is claiming not to know where 1,600 people are , especially given the other testimonies about having to hold passengers back and fire warning shots, they are a liar. just flat out liars

There was no piano on the deck playing while the ship sank. It was a strings group. How would they even get a piano on the deck? Also, there is a lot of inconsistency in how long some of the text appears on screen. Other than that, it’s a great video.

Titanic is one of my favorite films and it truly is a masterpiece of filmmaking. And yet, with all the advances in computers, many of the images here are so scary and hard to watch that it almost rivals Cameron's film.

You shouldn't be perpetuating the "unsinkable" myth. Not a single person involved in her construction and maintenance thought the Titanic could never sink. Sure, the ship had extremely advanced security features, which might have tempted them to run around saying the Titanic was *basically* unthinkable. But *basically* was always the operative part of this statement. Sure, they didn't *expect* the Titanic to sink that night, but it's a lie to say that they didn't think it was at least possible.

This is soo cool to watch, better than the 'official' movie~ Love the quotes and little notes on the sides. If I had one thing to nit-pick though: I'd loved to have a little description of the rooms that were shown, like '1st Class Dining Room', 'Boiler Room 2' or smth like that; as one not too familiar with the whole layout, these shots were cool but also confusing as I didn't know how to interpret them. Still, amazing work! _also __56:35__ goes hard_

The titanic was a well-built ship and was up to standards in lifeboats and was the safest ship to be on at the time. No safety requirement was left out on the ship. And are you saying Joseph Stalin never killed anyone? What about Lennin or any communist dictator. Communism and socialism have killed far more people than capitalism.

I'm a huge fan of the work the guys at Titanic Honor and Glory have done, and being obsessed by the Titanic since I first saw a picture of it when I was about 5, I've watched this years animation about 15 times so far. I think this one is the closest to what actually happened so far, and I love the internal flooding sequences. The only issue I have about the officers and Captain Smith's accents by the voice actor. I'm going to sound like a pedantic little fanatic, but giving these officers posh middle class English accents is inaccurate and gives the wrong impression the high ranking officers were all from affluent backgrounds when in fact they were often from working class families. Fleet was from Liverpool and does have what we in England would call a 'Scouce' accent, Officer Murdoch was a Scot, and again in this animation the actor uses a Scots accent. But the other officers and Captain Smith are all given very middle class English accents, almost sounding like they were educated at Eton. Captain Smith was from a working class area of Stoke On Trent in Staffordshire (I've visited his house), and although his accent would have very likely softened over the years of living away from the area he would still have spoken with a north Staffordshire accent. Officer Lightoller was from Chorley in Lancashire, and there are voice recordings of his description of that night on CZcams - again he has a northern accent. Officer Lowe was Welsh, Officer Boxhall was from Hull in Yorkshire, Officer Pitman was from Somerset, Officer Wilde was from Liverpool. These were all working class men who worked their way up through the ranks due to hard work and diligence, but all of them retained their regional accents.

I think that the order of events was this. Fleet sees the iceberg snd rings the warning bell. This put Mordoch In high alert and he payed ultra attention to the horizon in which he sees the iceberg. I also could say that they may have saw the berg at the exact same time. Then Mordoch either runs into the wheelhouse (like in the 1997 film) or ran into the bridge and gave the order of hard to Starboard. He then rang the telegraphs orders and as he finished the helm was hard over and Mordoch finished by watching from the bridge. My opinion is very similar to the James Camaroon Movie but that’s actually what I believe happened. There are a few flaws with that iceberg collision (such as moody getting tea which never happend, also as you discussed Fredrick Barrett said that the order to stop the engines rather then full astern)
