The second air kunai or whatever? If you're doing close, do far. If you're doing far, do close. If neither works, then I'm not crazy and they DID change something about the hitbox (I tried doing this combo better a few months ago and had the same issue). All together though, despite the views, this combo is pretty inefficient and outdated. I do suggest, unless you wanted a meter dump style combo, you look at other videos to truly learn the character. Or the other scorpion combos I recorded after this one that are notably more effective

They're all located on the side of the screen during the video. I wouldn't worry too much about it though, there's definitely better combos out there now that are more meter efficient. Still, if you want to learn it as a flashy meter dump, the inputs are there.

I'm sure it'll get added eventually. I haven't played in quite some time, since I eventually got bored after completing most of everything.

There's certainly better out there now, as this was just day 1 shenanigans. Still, though, it's good to see it was enjoyable regardless. I keep debating reinstalling the game for combo videos sake but it takes up so much of my laptops SSD because of course it doesn't function unless it's on an SSD.

In a perfect world, you draw Sonya with Dorian on board and do exactly what I did in this video; play far too many deadly poison and smack them hard. Dorian doesn't always come into play though, so you can't hold all of your draw cards waiting for the perfect moment or you'll lose. The issue is recognizing the board state and making the right call regarding when to hold your cards and wait on Dorian, or when to accept you won't get your combo and rely and stolen cards and strider to get you through.

It's the way the game registers inputs. Despite only pressing it twice it'll read it as if I mashed it. Still not 100% on why it does it that way but as long as it comes out in the end

@@RagingNomad yes in the same way he could press literally any button. That doesn't change the fact it's instant out of drive rush. Whether or not someone reacts to it has nothing to do with how fast the cancel is relative to the drive rush input. I never labeled this as some form of set up, just a performable action.

@@AjawAwilix I know man, unless you’re playing meta or some tier 2 deck you’re losing 90% of the time. As a person who plays Egyptian Gods it’s a drag to run into these crazy decks that can just do everything almost all the time.

@@AbysmalRandomn3ss Pretty much. I wasn't a fan of running meta decks either. I was just lucky that zombies were really strong at the games release. And that dragons are also good and cool usually. I miss Qliphot.

I don't know if it's entirely the controller. I tried redoing it since this combo is super inefficient and I couldn't get it to work. I think it's more about Scorpion's frames changing than it is the controller. I could also be wrong, I've never playing with an Xbox controller. Idk. I have a Victrix Pro.

I'd have preferred MKX Scorpion. Honestly I'd have really preferred never buying 1 and just sticking with X but when I learned how jank 1 was it was too late to refund. Still though, yes, they did both scorpion and sub zero dirty this game. Don't know why.

@@AjawAwilix well MKX was broken so that's why i didn't say MKX cuz i don't want another broken ah game. even though MK1 is kinda broken too. like sometimes it don't even let me play the game at all bruh. and in my opinion i just hate kameos. or like maybe have an option to fight without kameos that's what i thought when they first revealed it. but scorpion from Mk11 was good too he had a fast teleport and mix ups. MKX we don't speak about that cuz everyone was basically broken and super fast. so that's why i'm talking about MK11 scorp had a fast teleport and i always used it on pressure it was so good but his teleport is even bad on mk1 not that good. everything about scorp on mk1 was bad his moves. not even the teleport they could of made good. so i was dissapointed.

MKX was perfectly broken. That's what made it so amazing. High execution and immaculate defense or you can't play. Personally I feel we need more fighting games like that as opposed to toning everything down for casual player moneys sake. I find nothing fun in easy games. Regardless, I somewhat understand the hate for kameos. They're fine, but bad coming from other assist based games. Plus they're definitely not all balanced the same. Of course this is the innate nature of assists; just look at marvel. However, this is a much more toned down game than marvel, and since assists aren't based purely on characters moves they could have done much better to make kameos more even across the board as opposed to what was originally "You run Sareena or Cyrax otherwise what are you doing". Still though, between the game being near unplayable for PC and overall poor decision making...yeah, MK1 is a let down. I'd take X2 or even a return to the 3D games honestly.

Yeah having to constantly react to that kind of stuff is difficult. It's better to spend a round or two just faking the set ups just to see what they'll do on wakeup. Up in Tekken emperor I'm getting a lot of people who delay wake up. It's annoying since it beats Eddy's best flowchart option, being his WR move. It's that patience that wins games though.

He was much better in other games. I can't understand why they decided to gut him so heavily in this one. At least you enjoy him, though.

Also certainly an option. Still looking into more moves that leave people back turned for more situations like this, though I'm not fully certain how truly practical this is in game. Definitely gonna try it once I'm ready to play Jack though

I do QCF F3, because it requires a really tight micro walk. As for the timing, I can't quite say. It consistently hits in the same spot, JUST as they're about to hit the ground and their legs are still airborne. Timing the kick is rough though, and I still haven't gotten a rhythm to it. I imagine it works on all DF3+4 enders but can't confirm that some combos won't overload hit stun. Overall, it's best to just save your combo either before or after the final DF3+4 to practice the link.

I was heavily caught off guard and once I realized what happened I was choking on laughter. I was in no way prepared for that to happen. In the end I still blocked a super that would have otherwise hit me, so as far as I'm concerned it was used.

Who knows? Seems do be doing in about a week what your video took 16 years to do...Guess the gameplay must not be that big of an issue to anyone else. Besides, we can always easily test which one of us actually has better gameplay.

Eddy is pretty meh so not many people are playing him, but if we get Dragunov 2 and you run into them every other match until they're nerfed...Well, good luck.

@@TheManWithTheFace If you're unwilling to learn, yeah sadly it is. Learning through experience is frustrating, sure, but you'll stop losing once you do. Not many other ways to look at it. Sure you can watch whatever "Counter X character" guide you want, but that's meaningless without implementing it. So as long as you limit yourself, yeah, that's the rank you'll stay at.

@Jetanium I would absolutely love to, if I knew how. It's been impossible for me to find a decently priced copy for playstation, and the only way I know how to play it on PC is fightcade, which doesn't really give a training mode like I need (at least it didn't last time I tried setting it up). If you know of an alternative I'd absolutely love to hear it and it'll be the very first video I record (Once I'm done with Ermac) Edit: When I'm done with all my prior obligations for the day I'll look into it again.

1. I was getting plenty of rematches until I hit Raijin. However, yeah, the whole "can't practice against them even in a replay" thing is really dumb I do have to admit 2. Fast? Not really. His movement is awful. Besides round start you can't reliably sidestep anything and his backdash is terrible. His mixup has decent startup, sure, but the moves that get him into his stance don't.

I like doing combo videos more than ranked videos but I can only do so many combos that haven't been done without a new character or new game releasing. That's why my content schedule basically doesn't exist

@@AjawAwilix you should do one a week, or at least that seems like how it's going for you. Taking things slowly is a pretty good way to start your content career. I'd say when you have many off days or more time to spend on yourself then maybe a few new vids in the same week without pushing the quota. You said there's not a lot of combos you can do bf something else comes up that's bc you haven't figured anything else in time. Also you play more than skull girls so I'm not saying one game each day, I mean one combo video ever week, one week it can be MK and another can be skull girls. Nerfs, possibly? I haven't played in quite some time, so I wouldn't doubt it's possibly the case. Assuming you're doing the exact same combo that is. I wouldn't worry about it though, as this combo is realistically terrible, and was just something I threw together day 1 so I'd have content. There's certainly more optimal combos out there now.
