Yeah, that's me. Bet you're wondering how I ended up in this situation.
How ULTRAKILL Speedrunners Crushed the Double Bosses of Prelude (A World Record History)
Notes:
- There are other double boss fights in this game, this is just the first of "one of the only". These are also special Cerberi, as they have noticeably more health than normal ones, and they are also physically larger. (It's true! Spawn a normal Cerberus in this room and see!)
- Yes, the plural for specifically 2 is "Cerberi". If you had more than that (3+) it would be, in fact, "Cerberuses" (Greek is a weird language).
- I shorten Cerberus to "Cerb" a few times. I harbor no resentment or ill-will towards Serbians or "Serbs", regardless of what the auto-generated subtitles may imply.
- Yes, the actual name for shotgun spam tech is "duck boosting". This was agreed upon seriously by top runners. I dare not question it.
Errata (ft. BGB and Travis):
- Railcoins were not "discovered" later they just were not in the game. cabal had found them before the game went into early access (he has access to the beta version) and hakita had patched them out before Early Access started but BGB had gotten hakita to add them back
- Travis did discover coin adding later but mixing those two is confusing so the sentence at 16:16 could have been worded better
- CJ is not the first person to use a railcoin to hit both cerbs in 0-5, as both BGB and pot had been doing the strat behind the pedestal in any% since September (CJ's run was in November) so that was more of a carry over of a strat from any% rather than a discovery of a new thing. He was also the second person to do coin adding in a run. Travis actually did it first in 0-3.
- Locked had discovered and named dives back in the early demo days but slam slides and momentum slides were not a thing during that time (they were added with EA) so no one used them. it wasn't until BGB discovered slam storage could be used to benefit both the forward and upward speed of a dive that it began to be called USJ and dives were more recognized as useful tech.

it was way easier than the other stages if you just glitch it to stand on their head in a corner and repeatedly punch, getting a full combo stablely at ultrakill

As someone that has a 121 restart and 65 minute clear time on Minos, I ought to try some of these tricks to lower my time and possibly P-rank it

I'm happy I beat this on my own the first time. Quick note, I did die 133 times
trying to P-rank the level on violent now... For some reason my brain concluded that the best place to get advice on that godforsaken flesh prison fight was a video breaking down the methods used by the textbook definition of "built different" because yeah, I could totally learn to pull this off in a night.
