Welcome to You Should Craft! I design simple, straightforward crochet patterns for busy millenials.
Subscribe to the YSC channel for videos of fun, modern crochet tutorials that feature relaxing stitches and repetitive elements.
Y'all, it's hard to concentrate on stitch counts or colorwork when gross dudes are bothering you on the 5:47 PM train ride home, or when your boss asks you to lead the morning ice breaker on Zoom (Hi đđŒââïž, my name is Alex and the first CD I bought myself was Backstreet Boys Black & Blue). My patterns are simple and meditative, so you can space out and binge both seasons of Emily in Paris, even though it's hot trash.
If you're already a crocheter - dope! You'll love the full video tutorials.

FPDC - Left-Handed Front Post Double Crochet Tutorial
super cool, thank you!
Wow Iâve never before seen anyone hold hook and working yarn in same hand. So interesting Iâll have to try that. Were you a knitter before you learned to crochet?
You need to learn how to make a double crochet that is so annoying
I love your plant holder , I am looking for your new utube showing how to crochet for 8 inch pot?
Made this for my first blanket ever and it was easy enough for a total beginner to follow. Thanks for the tutorial!
That is great
I've never seen anyone use their right hand to wrap the yarn. I hold my yarn in my left hand and use my hook to catch the yarn. To each his own.
I am crochetting with ldc for the first time, and this vidio helped me so muchđ€©
I'm a crocheter but I also have ADHD so I became obsessed with the vibes of these hanging plant holders...which led to me being obsessed with plants in general. đ I'm trying to avoid falling down the rabbit hole of felted plant pot holders, which are also so stinking cute. Thanks for this tutorial! Also, you crochet like a knitter. đ€I'm guessing you learned knitting first? I'm the opposite hehe.
I crochet holding yarn and hook in right hand too. Itâs because I was a knitter first and it was easier to keep my tension. Thank you.
I am very sorry to say it,but this was the most annoying crochet technique I've ever seen in my life
i would love to know how to decrease the alpine stitch in the round
great tutorial...learned a lot.
Just finished! Excellent tutorial. Thank you so much. I used tricoloured pure Shetland wool and a 5mm hook and it worked great. I have never made any fake macrame before đ
I got to the end of the crocheting by following the pattern on your web page, then realised I don't have a darning needle so I'm waiting for one to arrive before I continue. I'm using tricoloured Shetland wool and a 5mm hook because I tend to crochet too tight đ€ŠReally great pattern. Very well written. Thank you so much đđđ
Ty this is my 2nd one making for a friends 1st grand â€
Not very clear to sew onto the ring
What I like so much about the crochet version of these plant holders is you have more selection of colors. I live in a small town and selection of macrame cord is limited. Yarn colors are easier to find. Thanks for this super cute design.
Too fast đą
can this be done in a single stitch crochet? i have a double crochet blanket but the edges have holes because i think i chained one too many (i decided to roll with it) but i want to make my boarder tighter to the edge and my tension isnât the best on my double crochet (proven by the blanket lol)
is it called American way of crocheting? Cuz we here hold the hood differently and crochet differently
I've made a few of these and the part where the first petal and the last petal meet doesn't look right... like those two petals are father apart from each other than the rest. Idk what I'm doing wrong
Thank you teĆekkĂŒrler (â ââ áŽâ ââ âżâ )
?? That's how I been crocheting for 24 years!! I don't know the "traditional" way to crochet!! đđ
The horizontal bar is confusing
Question on row 3, after completing the dc3tog are we chaining 1 or 2 because you show doing both ways
Hi I can't see where to sign up for you lessons . Or to save your lessons đą
Love this tutorial but having a hard time figuring out how much of each color to buy
Great tutorial !! Making these as a (very) late Christmas gift and it looks so cute with the ombrĂ© yarn I have! Thank youđ
Your description are a little confusing and you neglected to say alternate your dc and fpdc on the first line. I ended up with second row of 20 stitches⊠JS
Me gustarĂa saber de quĂ© paĂs eres porque tejes de una manera particular. Me gusta tu proyecto y voy a intentar hacerlo. Un abrazo
Thanks! I'm not a beginner crocheter, but I am a beginner crochet bow maker, so I appreciated the instructions!
They are very cute. Thank you for the tutorial.
Not understand
Ty been looking for a good simple version may God bless you!
was looking for a turtleneck pattern thx for this
i only saw this on the left handed one
Love it †just perfect. I'd put them on my blankets I crochet
Blankets + bows = đ
What kind of hook is that?
It's a Virgo Streamline Swirl from Furls Crochet shrsl.com/4bj1x (affiliate link)
I started my hat following the written pattern, but got a little lost ... This video was incredibly helpful!
Happy to hear you figured it out!
Cute as a vest NOW adult size pleaseđđđđthanksâ€â€â€â€happy holidaysđđđđeasy to do fun together!!!!
Maybe one day! đ Happy holidays!
OMG! I like your vids
Thanks so much!
On a throw blanket
Great idea! The border would be so good for a blanket.
That is so cute! Omg! đ
Thanks! Here's a full tutorial video if you'd like to make your own: czcams.com/video/pyKDCxWJkew/video.html
really donât understand how i messed the twist part up.. itâs discouraging update: i took it apart(was not easy but i did it) i think i messed up because i wasnât making sure i sewed all four pieces together and i wasnât sewing close enough to the top. itâs a little big on my head but so cute! my second crochet project. thank you!
So happy you were able to figure out the twist!
Do you have the pattern available please?
Yep! Here are the links. Video: czcams.com/video/pyKDCxWJkew/video.htmlsi=f8BPEB2Q-jCIAuR2 Written: www.youshouldcraft.com/turtleneck-sweater-christmas-ornament-crochet-pattern/
I âve never seen anyone hold the yarn and hook that way!
Yep, I'm told it's more similar to knitting. đ€·đŒââïž
Do you know how to knit?
@@robinmanzanares3106 not really, my grandma taught me when I was little, but I didn't stick with it like crochet
Can you add a link to the vids when you direct to diff vid?
No, when this video was created you could only link to another video if the short was created directly from it. Here's a link: czcams.com/video/V8_1nE8Zhko/video.htmlsi=XJ1kWC6Gf5YI2Eif
â@@YouShouldCraftyoutu.be/V8_1n
Ya. I canât find the link either
Iâm so very sorry, but you arenât a very good teacher. Are you doing a 4-dc-bobble? Or a 5-dc-bobble? You kept saying â5â but I think you meant you are left with 5 loops on your hook? I wish you would have counted your dcâs. Iâm sorry but I found this very confusing. Finding myself having to go elsewhere to clarify. But your blanket is beautiful.
Here's the written pattern and photo tutorial: www.youshouldcraft.com/bobble-border-crochet-tutorial/
Que bonita bufanda đ§Łâ€voy a hacerla mañana, gracias por el video đ
ÂĄDe nada, Alicia!
