What I like so much about the crochet version of these plant holders is you have more selection of colors. I live in a small town and selection of macrame cord is limited. Yarn colors are easier to find. Thanks for this super cute design.
This is awesome!I am so happy.I found your channels!!! I was searching plant hangers.Thank you so very much!❤❤❤
So glad I’ve sen someone who crochets the same way as I do 😊
Yay! We're definitely in the crochet minority, but we exist! 💙💙
I'm fascinated by how you hold your yarn with your hook! I've never see that and it's so cool! Love the pattern and can't wait to use it for my plants :)
Haha yes, I get a lot of comments about how I hold my yarn and hook. Happy to hear that you love the pattern! Hopefully your plants love it too 💖🌿
Woohoo! Ty Making for my daughter in law 🪴
You're welcome! 💙💙
I've never seen anyone crochet like you do, it's very interesting! Thanks for the pattern :)
Or me. It looks very uncomfortable to me but proof that you can crochet any way you like.
I got to the end of the crocheting by following the pattern on your web page, then realised I don't have a darning needle so I'm waiting for one to arrive before I continue. I'm using tricoloured Shetland wool and a 5mm hook because I tend to crochet too tight 🤦Really great pattern. Very well written. Thank you so much 💚💜💙
I'm thrilled that I found your channel! I just shared this video on Pinterest. Now I'm going to scoot over to the other video for the larger hanger and I will share that one as well. Then I can't wait to see what else you have on your Channel. ❤️
I'm thrilled you found this channel too!
Great little plant hanger! Perfect for a beginner like me!
Happy to hear that you like the plant hanger pattern, Courtney!
I think this is such a pretty pattern.
Thank you so much, KT!
I love your plant holder , I am looking for your new utube showing how to crochet for 8 inch pot?
Very pretty, thank you.
You're welcome! Thanks for the sweet compliment 😊
This is cool project, love plants and I've never seen a thrower Crocheter.
Thanks!
Thanks Faye! I think it's because I learned to knit and crochet at the same time?? A couple others have commented on my videos though
I'm a crocheter but I also have ADHD so I became obsessed with the vibes of these hanging plant holders...which led to me being obsessed with plants in general. 😂 I'm trying to avoid falling down the rabbit hole of felted plant pot holders, which are also so stinking cute. Thanks for this tutorial! Also, you crochet like a knitter. 🤭I'm guessing you learned knitting first? I'm the opposite hehe.
The row where you Ch4 and SC into the 4th chain (to prepare to SC all the way around) makes my opening too small for the pot.. any way around this?
You could try chaining more loosely, adding more chains between single crochets, or going up a hook size
Thank tou
You're welcome, Karen!
Love this pattern!! A tip for getting the chains through the beads: insert your crochet hook through the bead first, hook your chain, and pull through the bead. Figured this out while making this plant hanger! Hope it helps!
Thanks for the tip, Ro! Using the crochet hook will make it way easier. I've just been twisting/poking until the chain gets through 😅
I've never seen anyone use their right hand to wrap the yarn. I hold my yarn in my left hand and use my hook to catch the yarn. To each his own.
Beautiful... I'm gonna whip up a few... Can these be hung outdoors, or will the sun weaken it?
That's a good question! I haven't tried hanging outdoors and couldn't find much info on Google, but I think it would be okay. The colors would probably fade over time though.
can you link the video for the larger plant holder please?😅 i love the pattern you used, it’s so cute🥰
The tutorial for the larger plant hanger isn't done yet, but I'll link it when it's live. 👍🏻
@@YouShouldCraft oh my bad! i understood it was already posted and i just couldn’t find it haha but no worries:) can’t wait!
Hey Viviana -- the larger plant hanger video is live. It fits 8-inch pots czcams.com/video/_KPuMZXy1Ew/video.html
I hope you get this message. I’ve crocheted my plant hanger with 100% cotton by peaches n crème. The hanger fits the container but when adding the straps the top rises over the pot. What am I doing ???
It will stretch a bit with the weight of the pot/soil. You could try a taller pot, or skip one of the mesh rows to make it shorter. Going down a hook size may also work (your stitches would be tighter/smaller).
I see a pot holder that u crocheted but I can’t find the pattern. It has fringes around it. Can u point me in the right direction? :)
I don't have a fringed pot holder pattern yet, but I have these boho bobble coasters - maybe that's what you saw? www.youshouldcraft.com/round-bobble-coasters-crochet-pattern/
